I stare at the long mirror on the wall admiring the little black dress I wore which hugged my curve like a second skin. I paired it with silver heels and a purse. My face carried no makeup only blood-red lipstick on my lips and mascara to pop out my large green eyes.

Today was the pathetic alpha meeting and I still don't have a plan on what to do. I haven't told Christabel anything yet because her mate was part of the pack who wanted my head in a silver platter so telling her that her mate is part of those people who wants to kill me is a little bit absurd don't you think.

I don't know how her reaction will be and whose side she will choose and where our loyalty lies was now an uncertainty, her mate or her Alpha. Trust me this is going to be the biggest decision of her life.

"I trust Christabel with all my life and I think you should too, she has been our beta and best friend for so long her loyalty lies with us. So she can't give up on us just because she found her mate."My wolf said sounding so annoyed at me time for me even questioning her loyalty.

"I know what you mean, yes she has been our beta and yes she has been our best friend since forever but I want to ask you this, Will you leave our mate side to support another person just because you guys have been best friends?."

My wolf became mute at my question, unable to talk. I know full well if we both were in Christabel's position my wolf won't think otherwise and asked me to be on our mate's side.

I have seen and witnessed the effect of the mate bond from my dear mother who died beside my father not bothering to know if her only daughter was alright just because she couldn't bear the pain of losing her mate to myself last night who almost gave up her virginity, how affected I was so I know it was most likely she supports her mate before thinking about her alpha or pack, I would do that too if I were in her shoes.

"Where were you last night,” Christabel asked barging into my room without knocking, her bad habits she can't stop. I don't know why I always forget to close my doors, she could walk in on me naked.

Although she looked so beautiful wearing a blue cocktail dress, I was sure she wore this sexy cloth to seduce that hot mate of hers.

"I could be naked, can't you knock for once, sergeant Chris, "I said to her turning my body to face her and properly admire her dress.

"Reporting on duty, it’s not like I haven't seen you in your birthday suit before so stop acting like a drama queen. Now answer my question where were you, Alpha,” she said walking up to my bed to sit down.

" Nice dress."

" Thanks, now please answer my question."

I shrugged my shoulders and turned back around to face the mirror. I picked up the mascara bottle and continue applying it. I wanted to look as beautiful as I can so if I was lucky to seduce one of the alpha presents the idiot will tell me all that they are planning.

"I went out to the woods for a run to clear my head have forgotten or as your last night tears wash out your memory.” I joked, I watched from the mirror as she rolled her eyes and throw me a pillow.

"Haha very funny, I'm serious I came to your last night but you weren't here, so after running where were you?. “she asked again this time crossing her legs together.

"I took a swim in the river inside this pack forest," I said to her, I knew she was worried about me and I could feel it.

"And ?."

"And I found my mate. "I said as our eyes locked together with the mirror.

" And," she asked again, I was sure she didn't hear me clearly when I said I had found my mate.

"I came back to the pack and went to the kitchen to have-"

" What did you say before now."

" I went to the river."

" No after that."

"Finally I can destroy this glass." She said pointing to my magical hourglass on the glass table. I carry it everywhere I go

She was right the sound had increased but it wasn't noticeable.

" Yes it has but it means nothing."

" I don't know his name or his rank."

" Please tell me at least you know what he looks like right?."

" No, but after this meeting which you must be highly alert in I will go look for him."

" Ok let's go, My mate is waiting for us outside,” she said happily.

You see what I was talking about if she knew what was happening she will surely be on her mate's side and betrayal me.

"Where's chole?."

"She's standing outside together with my mate."

"Come on let's go." We both walked out of the room. Her mate beta Ethan was standing by the corridor with a stoic expression and chole about fifty meters away from him. Chole looked pretty wearing a long pink satin dress and her makeup was perfectly done.

The beta was dressed in a fancy suit and his hair was gelled nicely but he didn't look as hit as I remembered him to be the last time I saw him.

"That's because the mate bond has started its effect. You won't be attracted to anyone else other than our mate."

" Oh!."

" Alpha, black. “my delta greeted, I gave her a soft smile in return.

" Alpha black right this way please. “he said leading us into a car as he took the driver seat.

What do we need a car for, when we werewolves. The car ride was very short as we stopped in front of another large building surrounded by woods.

Is this where they plan to bury my body.

He came out of the car and lead us inside the building into a large room where other high-ranking alphas and beta sat.

"OH, finally the beautiful Alpha Black, truly the rumors did nothing to express your beauty, but I don't see the need why you are here, you don't belong here alpha black, but I can tell you where you belong, " A man with striking brown eyes said with a fake smile. I looked from his face to other alpha and they all had fake smiles. The moment I stepped foot inside this room the dark energy was too much. Something wasn't right.

" Where!. I asked and a smirk appeared on his face.

" On my bed with your two legs wide open."

" Can I tell you where my fist belongs? I said to him, my fist was clenched to the side, I couldn't wait to break his face.

" Where darling?."
