Chapter 9: Chapter 9
Precious groaned as she stomped her feet on the tiled floor after managing to stand up. She couldn't understand how a rich kid could be a pig at the same time.
Bethel laid on his back on his bed as he chatted with his friends in their group chat.
Today was the worst Saturday for Precious, it was past twelve in the afternoon and Precious has been cleaning and rearranging Bethel's room non stop.
At first when she came into his room, he was asleep and when she woke him up, he told her to wait until he woke up and not to leave the room. She pulled the blanket from his body and dropped them on the floor making him furious.
"Are you stupid?!" He asked, looking at her with sleepy eyes.
"No I am not but you sure are lazy?" She retorted.
"I am the boss here and you are the servant, so shut the fuck off and listen to me!" He spat out word by word making sure he sent fear to her.
Precious kept quiet, it was her newly found sharp mouth that put her in the mess she was in now and instead of her to find a way out, she kept pissing him off.
She had arranged his room, cleaned his mirror, sweeped and mopped the floor. She cleaned the window, dusted the couch and carried his dirty clothes to the laundry. Precious admired his room, his room could be divided into a two bedroom flat, a living room, a kitchen and a toilet.
The room was extremely big and had an additional room too which Bethel had forbidden her from entering.
When she moved into the toilet to clean it, she was shocked to see that it was literally messed up. She knew he intentionally dumped those stuff there to rile her up. He dumped bread into his toilet and also chocolates.
She complained and he turned deaf ears to her words. Precious worked out of the toilet with a bucket in her hands. "What's your name?" He asked her.
She scoffed, so he didn't know her name? She thought.
"It's precious," she replied and he laughed. "Why aren't you called a goat because that's what you are!" He spat out agitating Precious the more.
"It still baffles me how a rich boy could be so foolish?!" She spoke sarcastically.
"It seems you are forgetting who you work for?!" He fired back.
"Fire me then!" She retorted, Bethel smirked.
"That's the last thing I'd do, I have to teach you a big lesson. You talk too much and always have to reply to my every word...so I'd have to punish you until you learn and know the difference between you and I." He spoke.
Precious scoffed, "I already know the difference between you and I. You are a bully and I am not, you are arrogant while I am not, you are ma-nner-less! While I am the opposite of every sickening thing you are." Precious spat out and Bethel frowned.
"You will eat your words I bet you." Bethel threatened, getting up from his bed, walked to his wardrobe, he brought out all of his clothes and dumped them on the floor.
"Wash them all with your hands and iron them all!" He spat out, he was obviously furious. She kept daring him to forget the consequences.
Precious stared at the many clothings on the floor that were neat and ironed too. Her eyes twitched before she looked at Bethel with a scowl.
"You should be glad I dumped just a few of my clothings or else you will get your hands all sore, not like I care and also..." He trailed off. "Use your hands, I'd know if it's a washing machine."
Precious scrunched her brows, bending down to pick a few of the clothings in her hands and walking out of the room. Bethel smirked triumphantly, she was just getting a few doses of him.
It wasn't until past three in the afternoon before Precious finished washing. She sat down on the floor in the laundry with her back resting on the walls, she closed her eyes.
She was tired and her hands ached. She has never washed any male clothing before until now and his stone wash jeans pained her palm. How could someone so young be so devious and inhumane, she thought.
Precious sat down on a stool in the kitchen, eating the food kept for her when she heard footsteps.
The owner of the footstep appeared and it turned out to be Bethel with his arms crossed across his chest.
"I didn't give you the permission to eat, so why are you eating?" He asked.
Precious raised her brows in a questioning way, was he for real?! She thought.
"And i don't think I need your permission to put food in my belly," she spoke.
"It seems you haven't learnt your lesson yet. I want you in my room in less than five minute and if you are a minute late, you will see the second dose of me!" He spoke.
"As if you have anything human about you," she remarked.
"Your time starts now!" Those were his last words before he retreated from the kitchen.
Precious stomach churned. She was weak and tired already. She left her after some minute food and made her way to the long curvaceous stairways.
She knocked on Bethel's door but there was no reply, so she let herself in. Bethel wasn't in the room yet, so she sat down on his chair to take a rest before he came.
She didn't know how long she tried fighting her eyes from sleeping but she did after some minutes involuntarily.
