Chapter 132: Chapter 132
Then she used the man as a shield to successfully block the bullet aimed at her arm by the man who was shot.
The man she used to block the bullet was already dead. She quickly bent down to pick up the gun on the ground and fired at the other side, hitting the man right between the eyebrows.
In less than two minutes, the three men were all dead.
Lucy Eaton heard rapid footsteps heading this way. She knew it was the two men who went to fetch gasoline.
She picked up the guns from the other two people, so she now had three guns. Just as she reached Emma Bennett’s side, the two men appeared.
Lucy Eaton placed one of the guns in Emma Bennett’s hand.
"Did you kill my three brothers?!" The man glared at her angrily.
"Yes, I killed them."
"You don’t need to know."
Lucy Eaton echoed, "You don’t need to know who I am either."
"Damn girl, I’ll see you cut to pieces!"
"Well, that depends on whether you have the ability to do so." As she spoke, she fired at the two men with both hands almost simultaneously as the bullets from the opponent came towards them.
The opponent also fired two bullets aimed at the two of them.
Both opponents were hit and fell to the ground.
Lucy Eaton dodged one bullet, but turned to shield Emma Bennett from another, and was shot in the back.
The pain caused Lucy Eaton to stagger, and she grabbed Emma Bennett’s shoulder.
Emma Bennett couldn’t see it, but he felt that she had been shot, and it was for his sake.
"You’re shot," he said hoarsely, reaching to support her.
"I’m fine." She saw the man who had fallen to the ground was about to shoot at them again. Decisively, she stepped forward and stomped on the man’s wrist. In the process of grabbing the gun, the opponent’s gun went off and shot her leg, causing Lucy Eaton to kneel on one knee. She used all her strength to wrest the gun from his hand. In this life-and-death moment, she couldn’t afford any questions and shot him without hesitation.
She also shot another man who was pretending to be dead but was actually immobilized by a shot from Lucy Eaton earlier.
The air fell completely silent.
Lucy Eaton held her leg wound, feeling a deep sense of sorrow, thinking about how in the Palmer Family she had been shot twice recently, and now again twice here. Was her body destined to be a target for others?
"Lucy?" Emma Bennett’s voice was trembling, "Lucy?"
He wasn’t sure if those three gunshots had hit Lucy Eaton.
Lucy Eaton turned to look at him. Under the light, his expression appeared very anxious. Follow current novᴇls on NovelHub(.)net
She didn’t speak, but forced herself to stand up.
"Lucy, how are you? Speak!"
"Unluckily, I got shot in the leg again, but the good news is, I’m still alive."
Emma Bennett breathed a sigh of relief and groped his way toward her, "How are you now? Can you move?"
"A bit difficult." Lucy Eaton leaned on his arm and slowly stood up, "Let’s go get that gasoline."
Emma Bennett lifted her in his arms, "You guide me."
Suddenly being held, Lucy Eaton felt uncomfortable, but in her condition, she didn’t argue.
The two buckets of gasoline fetched by the dead men were not far away. In their haste, they left the gasoline cans on the ground.
The two slowly carried these two gasoline cans over.
Emma Bennett knew what she wanted to do with the gasoline, but he still said, "You won’t be convicted even if you don’t dispose of the bodies."
"Me? Did I murder anyone?" She didn’t admit, "Did you see me kill anyone?"
Being blind, he couldn’t have seen, "No."
"Right, they attempted to harm you and ended up killing themselves, nothing to do with me." Lucy Eaton said as she searched the five dead people and eventually found a phone and a badge.
The badge was made of special wood with a mark on it, but she had never seen such a badge before, so she asked Emma Bennett, "Found a phone and a badge, the mark on the badge is a golden triangle, do you know what it represents?"
Emma Bennett responded, "That’s a badge from the Presidential Mansion, the golden color is only held by the most trusted subordinates of my parents and my siblings."
"Are you saying your brother wants to kill you?"
"I didn’t say that, it’s you who said it." He thought to himself, what a clever woman.
Lucy Eaton put the badge in his pocket, "I put it here for you, will you tell your father the truth?"
"Firstly, he wouldn’t believe, secondly, we have no evidence. After all, there were no live witnesses captured. If I hastily bring out this badge, it might be seen as framing. By the way, how did you find your way here?"
Lucy Eaton truthfully explained while pouring gasoline on the five bodies. After pouring, she threw the gasoline cans on the dead bodies, then took a lighter from Emma Bennett’s hand to set them on fire.
Perhaps the fire was too fierce, it woke Nick from his frightened slumber.
"Your Highness, Your Highness, are you alright? Why is the fire so big?"
"I’m fine, we need to leave here quickly."
Nick looked at Lucy Eaton, "Why are you here? Are you with them?"
"If I were with them, I’d have killed you first." Lucy Eaton said without raising her head, sending a message to report to her father.
"Lucy saved us." Emma Bennett squatted down and said, "I’ll carry you out."
"Your Highness, how can you demean yourself to carry her?"
"Lucy took two bullets to save us, didn’t you see?" Emma Bennett sternly and coldly said.
"I’ll carry her out instead."
Lucy Eaton was unwilling, "Rather let you carry me, I’d rather walk myself. Just seeing you annoys me, get lost."
Emma Bennett knew this very well, which is why he decided to do it himself.
He was about to reach out to carry her when Lucy Eaton said again, "Carrying is not suitable, better if you piggyback me."
Piggyback seemed a bit better than carrying.
"Why are you being picky at a time ? You’re injured in the leg. Carrying you would pull at your wound."
Having said this, he disregarded her protests and picked her up. Lucy Eaton instinctively wrapped her arms around his neck. Emma Bennett’s body stiffened for a moment, and in the next instant, under Nick’s guidance, they headed towards the exit.
Lucy Eaton’s pain caused her to break into a cold sweat; she had been enduring it all along, but as the pain intensified, she couldn’t bear it any longer and let out a low whimper.
"It hurts a lot, please hold on." Saying this, his pace involuntarily quickened.
Lucy Eaton, feeling dizzy, said, "You saved my life, I saved yours, we don’t owe each other anymore."
Emma Bennett didn’t reply to her words, only feeling increasingly disrupted by the fragrance of her hair.
Upon exiting, they immediately ran into the people from the Prime Minister’s Mansion.
"Your Highness, the Prime Minister is on the way."
