“I. I don’t understand.” She looked away from me and spoke. I sighed and kissed her forehead.

“You don’t have to understand anything. Just listen to me okay?” I turned her face and made her look at me.

“Ryan, you know it’s impossible for us to be together. Just don’t make things hard for both of us” My heart shook violently because of what she said. What the hell?

“Why is it impossible Julianna?” I grabbed her and went out of the room. This woman is making me angry again.

“Why can’t you understand the fact that we are no match for each other Ryan? I can’t win against the power of your family and I’m just a normal woman and you think your grandma would let me live if this happened?” Why is she like this? Can’t she understand that as long as we stay together everything will be fine?

“Julianna listen. Don’t make me angry okay? We will face so many problems in the future and even if you don’t marry me trust me things won’t change. There’s so many things that you don’t know and some things that happened in the past you will never know.”

“Do you even have anyone that you could trust? No. You don’t have. Even the friend of you tried to sell you to an old bastard”

“Be with me and I’ll make sure of your safety and you just have to stay home and take care of things as a wife. If you can’t I’ll hire servants as much as you want. Just stay with me” I sighed and hugged her again.

“Why suddenly Ryan?” She asked with a low voice that made my heart hurt.

“Don’t you want to be Noel’s mother? Do you want others to call him a bastard and a boy without a mother?” As soon as I said that she shook her head and looked up at me with red eyes.

“But Ryan… You.. know we can’t get married like this” Julianna placed her both hands on my chest and said. Why can't she just understand?

“Why? Tell me a valid reason for that” I grabbed her both hands and asked her as she bit her lower lip.

“Don’t you think it will also make trouble for you? I mean a woman like me..” She lowered her head and spoke with a hurt-filled voice.

“I want a woman like you and you’re not cheap like they said. You’re mine, Julianna.” I made her look up at me again and wiped her tears.

“I’m the one who’s going to marry you and I don’t give a damn about anything as long as you stay with me” I kissed her forehead and caressed her face.

“Ryan but…” Urghh again trying to tell something.

“I’m the one who makes decisions here Julianna. So you’re marrying me tomorrow and be with me forever” I cut her off by telling that.

“Ryan. Why are you so arrogant?” Julianna frowned at me and asked with an annoying look.

“I’m arrogant and that’s it” I smirked at her and grabbed her by her waist and took her out of the house.

“Where are you taking me?” She asked while trying to break free from my grip.

“Into the car” I kissed her neck and said.

“For what?” She hit my shoulder and asked. I kissed her head and smiled but deep inside of my heart I’m burning because I couldn’t stop thinking about Noah and his final words for me. I sighed and looked at Julianna. What will happen if I lose this woman? What if Mark found her? If it happened there's no way he would let her be with me. Shit.

“Julianna, do you remember about your childhood?” I simply asked her as we got into the car. She looked at me for a while with a puzzled look and shook her head.

“Not that much.” She said while looking at me and I nodded.

“Were you in this city from childhood?” I wrapped my one arm around her waist and made her sit on my lap.

“I don’t remember Ryan. I don’t remember much about those things. I just remembered that I had an accident when I was a kid and my mom told me because of that I forgot about the past” My heartbeat fastened as she said that.

“How old were you at that time?” I asked her as I buried my face against her neck.

“Thirteen. Why are you asking these things?” So this is Marianna. The little girl who always loved to push me into the pond in their home. I smiled at that thought because she was the only one who bullied me in the past. When she went missing I laughed loudly from happiness but slowly I started to miss her. After so many years she’s still the same, hitting me, pinching me, and even shouting at me.

“Marianna..” I whispered against her neck without letting her hear it. So Noah is the baby brother of Mark. My heart began to ache as I remembered how Mark’s mother died because of the heartache of losing her daughter and newborn son. Then his father was killed by an assassin and only Mark survived.

“Julianna, what kind of wedding do you want?” I lifted my head up and slowly turned her by her shoulders but without telling anything she looked away from me with a blush. Puff is so cute.

“I’ll give everything you want” I kissed her cheek and spoke but she shook her head.

“I don’t want. Don’t waste your money” She let out a smile and looked at me. Why did she become like this? She was the only daughter of the Holland family and she could have everything with their money but she grew up like a poor woman and she even lost her brother because of it. I sighed and nodded at her.

“I’ll give you a great wedding but for now we’ll get our marriage certificates.” I kissed her forehead and hugged her so tightly.

“Ryan. What was it?” Suddenly she asked.

“What?” I could guess what she was asking about but I didn’t want to answer her.

“About Noah’s letter” She looked up at me and asked. She was just holding her tears back. How am I supposed to tell her about what Noah wrote for me? It was all about the man who bought his sister and it was me.

“He has mentioned keeping it as a secret” I sighed and caressed Julianna’s face and saw her face turned to an extremely sad one.

“I’m sorry,” I said as she buried her face against my chest. I felt her hot tears through my shirt. I have no idea how she would be able to bear the pain when she finds the truth. She will find it but not now. I can’t let her go and meet her elder brother and her grandfather. They will never give her to me because of the betrayal my grandparents did.

I stayed there for a while and thought about how to hide Julianna from the Holland family and especially from Mark. I looked at the woman in my arms and found she was already sleeping peacefully. I took a deep breath and took her into the home and placed her beside Noel on the bed. Then I again went out of the house and got into the car as I grabbed a cigarette out and lit it up. Then I took my phone out and dialed Chris’s number.

“It’s night time Ryan…. Urghh” I heard Chris’s sleepy voice and maybe he was fucking a woman. Eww.

“Are you alone in the bed or have a naked woman beside you?” I mocked him and he sighed.

“No woman Ryan. Fuck… I can’t forget her” Chris shouted. Oh... Julianna’s friend.

“Come to Julianna’s old house and I have to tell you something,” I said as I took a deep puff of the cigarette.

“Why can’t we talk tomorrow? I’m sleepy” lazy bastard.

“No. Come now or you’ll never find that woman again” With that, I hung up the call. Then after a few seconds, I received a message and I opened it.

‘Screw you Ryan’ I saw it was from Chris and I smiled and closed my eyes.
