A week has passed and tomorrow is Noel’s birthday. Grandma wanted to hold a party but Noel didn’t want to, he just kept asking if he could spend his birthday with mommy. I was just in a mess because I couldn’t find her yet. It hurts every time Noel asks about her. Where the fuck did she leave? Not in her apartment and nowhere. Shit. How am I going to find her before tomorrow? Urghh... Then I heard my phone ringing.

“Speak” I answered the call and said to Chris as he chuckled.

“I found Jade,” He said as I quickly got up from my chair and took my coat to leave.

“Where is she?” I asked him while leaving the office.

“She’s in the basement of my house” As soon as Chris spoke I hung up the call and drove my car to his house and saw Chris is already waiting for me.

“She’s scared of you.” Definitely, she knows what happened back then. With that, I left with Chris and went to the basement and saw aunty Jade was tied into a chair. Puff.

“Young master” She talked to me as soon as she saw me. I went in front of her and sat down on the sofa as Chris sat down next to me.

“It’s been four years aunty Jade” I spoke with a sarcastic voice and her face went pale. She became old. Urghh. I can’t hurt her because she’s old and she took care of me when I was a child.

“Aunty Jade. You took care of me when I was a kid so I won’t hurt you. Please just tell me what happened four years ago.” I simply asked her as her eyes turned moist.

“Tell me. Hmm?” I again asked her as she shook her head.

“I can’t, young master I’m sorry. Old madam will kill me” She said as she cried. Ha... Old madam.

“Alright then. You have a little granddaughter right?” I asked her as Chris gave me a cigarette. I lit it up and took a puff and watched her as she shook her head with disbelief in her eyes.

“I’ll tell, young master but I’m sorry. I only did what old madam asked me to do” She said while sobbing.

“Speak.” I leaned my back against the sofa and looked up at the ceiling. I took another puff of a cigarette and for some unknown reason, I was scared. I was scared to hear what she was going to say. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath and calmed myself.

“Old madam lied to you young master. She lied to you about Julianna” Suddenly horror took over me as I heard that name. My heartbeat increased with great pain. Julianna? Don’t tell me she’s Noah’s sister.

“Julianna? Her name was Julianna?” Chris asked her with a shocked voice and I knew he was also thinking the same thing as me.

“Yes,” She said. I opened my eyes and looked at the woman who was sitting in front of me and she was scared.

“Speak. Don’t stop” I said and she nodded.

“Four women came that day and everyone was willing to be a surrogate but Old madam didn’t get satisfied with their looks and their attitudes so after a long time Julianna came and old madam was really satisfied with her looks and her intelligence so she was selected to be young master’s surrogate. Julianna didn’t see old madam and I was the one who told everything to Julianna that old madam wanted to tell.”

“Old madam asked me to find why Julianna needed money so I asked Julianna and she said her seven years old brother is suffering from lung cancer and he needed to have his surgery soon but she doesn’t have money for that. She even said she decided to sell her body because she wanted to save her brother’s life”

“After the day, the young master spent the night with her. She asked for her money but old madam didn’t give her the full amount of money and she gave Julianna half of her money. As soon as she got the money she went to the hospital and I also went with her but the hospital refused to do the surgery without the full payment so Julianna begged me to ask old madam if she could get the other half of the money but old madam refused her. Then she asked me if she could talk to you young master. I had to refuse her because old madam didn’t want her to talk to you or see you.” Aunty Jade looked at me with tear-filled eyes and I didn’t feel pity for her because my heart was already bleeding because of what I just heard. The pain I’m feeling is something that I never felt. Aunty Jade watched me for a while and continued.

“Julianna said she will wait for the young master and ask for the money. So she waited every night for you. After she got pregnant she thought you would come to see her and baby so she waited every day. Sometimes I saw her looking out of the window and stroking her belly while saying to the baby that ‘your daddy will come soon and your little uncle needs to do his surgery soon.’ I’m so sorry young master….” Aunty Jade started to sob loudly as she spoke. I just didn’t feel anything because of the pain in my heart.

“Continue” I found my voice was broken and hoarse.

“Julianna asked me when will the young master come back but I always scolded her when she asked that. She just simply nodded and didn’t ask me again. Then she gave birth to the little young master and as soon as she gave birth to the baby she fainted. So she woke up the next day and I gave her money. Then she asked me if she could see the baby for one last time but I refused because old madam warned me.”

“Then I heard from old madam that her brother died while she’s giving birth to a little young master. Again Julianna came that day in the evening to Crystal mansion after her brother’s funeral and she threw money at old madam and asked to return her baby. Julianna shouted and acted like a madwoman. She even threatened the old madam by telling her she would destroy everything if she couldn’t get the baby back but the old madam asked guards to throw her out of the house before the young master came so Julianna left and never came back again” So that’s it? That’s what happened. I forced my tears back because I didn’t want to cry in front of these people.

“What is her brother’s name?” I asked her but I already knew the answer.

“Noah Kennedy” I closed my eyes and nodded. So that’s why she and Noah had the same features. So she was Noah’s sister that I tried to find for the whole damn four years. No wonder she said that she hated me and my family and asked me to give Noel back to her. How am I supposed to bear this pain? It was all my fault. Why didn’t I just ask her name that day and why she’s selling herself to me? Fuck.. I had to find everything. Why did I listen to grandma?

“Why did grandma do that?” I again asked her because I never expected my grandma to be this vicious. She’s an evil woman.

“Old madam said she didn’t want to see the past repeat again and I think old madam knows something more about Julianna and her family” Repeat the past? What the fuck was that. More about Julianna?

“Do you know about it?” I asked her as she hesitated for a while.

“I don’t know, young master” She spoke and I clearly knew she was lying but I didn’t want to ask her because anyways I’m going to find everything.

“Chris. Release her” With that, I left the basement and went towards the bar in Chris's house.

After some time Chris came and grabbed a chair and sat beside me. He watched me for a while and spoke.

“So what are you going to do?” He asked me while pouring vodka into his glass.

“I don’t know,” I said because I really didn’t have an idea. I don’t know how to apologize to Julianna and how to ask how she lived over these years.

“Remember once I told you that you’ll definitely miss the most important things in your life because of grandma?” Yeah, he said that and I was a fool and didn’t listen to him. Fuck….

“Are you going to finish my fucking bar today?” Chris asked as he grabbed the vodka bottle from my hand.

“Fuck off Chris you’re annoying” I shouted at him and grabbed the bottle again.

“This is my house” He sighed and told me.
