"Eric"
I scream as slowly he sinks to his knees tears pour from my eyes. "Eric" I drop down to the ground gathering his body into my arms
"Eric, why did you do that for" I sob and he struggled to breathe.
I call out for Lucian who in a minute was in front of us. He was shocked to see Eric lying in blood within my arms.
"please he needs a doctor" quickly Lucian helped me up with Eric's body and rushes to the pack hospital.
Claire whom I think Lucian already link came running in our direction, her face suddenly looks drain
"what happened?"
I just kept on sobbing without answering. I couldn't believe it, it was supposed to be me but Eric jumps in to save me.
Eliz hollow in pain, "Eric" Claire pushes me aside and held him in his arms making Eliz growl and take control of my body.
I couldn't win over her this time as I was shocked by my own emotions. She was in charge of us now, she pushes off Claire and grabs Eric.
Aaron with Jay and Josh came rushing from the other side.
"Elle" Leto stops when he probably saw the changes in my eyes.
"Eliz, he needs the doctor" Jay tries to calm her down "mate needs me, heal mate" she cries.
Jeanne with a doctor named Scott quickly help Eric when Eliz decided to let them take care of him. Aaron tries to come closer but she hisses at him then runs in the opposite direction looking for the scents of all the remaining hunters.
Once she found the wounded and hiding under a rock. She stood before them grinning evilly. I never saw this side of Eliz and it kind of scares me.
They didn't see us and before the hunter could scream she snap his head then move on to the other one. When everyone dies she stood there howling in victory.
We heard a snap she growls showing her teeth to whoever appears. Alpha Zues clap in awe like he has watched a TV opera show.
"That was entertaining, yet you killed my mate" he waves his finger in the air making Eliz bare her teeth as we haven't fully shifted yet
"pathetic how this should be me running this forsaken world instead of being just an Alpha." Eliz keeps on snarling "Oh Elle if only I could still pursue you instead of that worthless Jea. Poor thing" he laughs
"maybe then we'll be in victory. Thank you but this is where we say goodbye" his eyes change and he shifted lunge at us.
Eliz in controlling my body deflect his moves and shifted turning around Zues claws missed us and she bites on his leg. His right paws set us flying in the air with so much force hitting a tree. Slowly Eliz loses consciousness as she was quite tired from killing the hunters.
Shifting back to our human form giving me back the control I began to panic as now Zeus is running at full speeds in our direction.
My eyes darted everywhere looking for something luckily I saw it and turn around to plunge into his chest. A silver knife lying hidden beneath some leaves, probably some hunter owns it.
Blood dripped from his mouth and he shifted back to his human wolf, he looks at me with sadness.
"I'm sorry and thank you"
he says before his eyes close and his body limps on the ground. What the hell did he mean by that. I started to shift and cry on the ground.
Eliz howls again, we look ahead to find Aaron now running in our direction. He drops a blanket over us and hugs me "shhh everything will be okay" he whispers whole rocking me back and forth.
He carries me back to the packhouse, everyone looks exhausted and some warriors were badly wounded on the ground while there were bodies covered in white sheets. Aberdeen rushes to my side and she hugs me once Aaron lets go of me.
I was still in tears, Aber only tries to comfort me. Even when we went back inside and she helps me take a shower then to bed. Eliz insists on visiting Eric but Aber forces us to sleep.
I felt my eyelids heavy "later Eliz" I told her and we slowly shifted away.
We are near to the end and I'm completely this book today
