"Jea died"

It was the first thing on my mind when I woke up. I was in my room at Aaron's pack the door bust open and Aberdeen walks in surprising me.

She crushed me into a big hug which I did in return, I really did miss her.

"You bad girl" she pushes me back on the bed

"Hey I did call you"

"well, that was 3 weeks ago."

I hug her like a child clinging to her mother

"I know, so why exactly are you doing here?" I ask

She fumbled with her fingers "we're moving packs, for now, both Eric and Aaron has offered for all packs to move the children and women here for protection. You know since they're the largest one."

"That's a relief! now I get to hang out with you guys more often," my bedroom door opens again.

In came Jay, Aaron, Conrad, Leto, and Josh I wave them hello with a big smile on my face.

"We know Alpha Zues betray us and Jea is dead," Aaron began.

"The barrier hasn't vanished completely," they listen as I spoke. "I overheard them last night, there will only be 100 hunters that could make it through but none of them can go back, that means they die if they do so."

Jay looks frustrated, he was now sitting down on a chair "I don't know why he did it.. How can I be so blind... I didn't expect him to be so" he kept rambling.

"I think I do" their attention is on me again "his Mate is a hunter and we killed her only family. You know they were part of the group that was killed when I was rescued"

Jay jumps to his feet suddenly "Gosh so this is some revenge" I nodded my head "but isn't he supposed to kill us then since we" he pointed between the two of us "are on the hit list."

"They know we didn't do it," he curses

"I think he's on his way here"

Aaron looks confused with the others "they won't attack Eric they'll attack here, since we're both here and I think they have figured out already that Aaron" he didn't quite finish as the sirens were heard.

"We're under attack"

everyone starts to move around as howl and cries were heard from the borders. Emergency evacuation notices keep repeating, children and women were hurdle inside the safe houses as the wires go up again.

I move to go with Aberdeen but Leto held her back "not you" he whispers but she shrugged off his hand.

"What's going on?" I ask

"she's pregnant and I don't want her to fight" Leto is trying to plead with her and I narrow my eyes on her

"lady you better get your ass in there with the others," she cries to protests but I shut her up.

"We need you to take care of our little angel, his father and her aunty will fight your battles so you better trust and have hope in us."

She cries leaning to Leto I pat her back before leaving them alone.

Outside everyone already in their wolves forms I move to Aaron's side. I couldn't tell them apart but Aaron squeezes my hand, first time I open up my link in his pack and he told me that they're all wearing red strings on their left arms and the Rogues can be found through their smell.

I totally forgot about that.

Zues came out of the woods along with a brunette with her badass wardrobe ready to kill anyone. She must be the mate. Zues smirks at us while we heard growls and snarls from the woods, they must be the Rogues.

"Look what we got here, this is perfect. I will enjoy killing you all but not you, my dear" he points to me then he lunge forward for the first kill and Aaron got to him in time not giving him the time to kill one of his pack members.

They fought brutally everyone else has their own opponents. I was still in my human form fighting against them.

I saw Eric and Lucian joining us, this was all about survival and you survived when you are skillful enough and knows the techniques.

The fight went up for hours. The rogues and hunters were starting to minimize in size, we were near to the end.

A siren was heard suddenly some rogues retreats. I killed my last rogue and gasp for air.

The blood covering my clothes and hands, totally need a nice bath.

I heard movement behind me than a loud gunshot bang out loud. When I turn around the female's heart was ripped and in a person's hand, his back was on me. Zues mate lies on the ground dead.

I was saved, he turns around dropping the heart on the ground

"Eric"

I move towards him, he has been shot with wolfsbane and he...
