Chapter 24: Chapter 24
TIA POV
I couldn’t stop thinking about the lady in the picture and what position she really holds in their family.
I walked over to the bed after stepping out of the bathroom and got on the bed to rest for a while since there wasn’t anything to do when the phone beside me chirped.
I sat up straight when I checked the caller to be my mom. It totally forgot to reach out to them.
“Good morning mom.” I greeted.
“Good morning honey. How is your honeymoon going and where is your husband?” She asked.
I really wish I could tell her there isn’t any honeymoon and Andrew hasn’t returned home since last night.
There’s really no love for me in this marriage or a place in Andrew’s life.
“Honey, are you there?” She questioned with concern in her voice.
“I’m sorry mom. I wasn’t paying attention before.” I apologized.
“Are you really sure everything is alright?”
“I’m absolutely fine. Also the honeymoon is going great and as for Andrew, he just stepped out of the room a few minutes to get something from the living room.” I lied.
At this point, I just have to keep lying to them about my relationship with Andrew.
“That’s so sweet to hear. Send my regards to him, okay?”
“I will mom. Where is dad?” I inquired.
“He’s taking a shower at the moment but you can still hold on for him to finish.”
“That won’t be necessary mom. I can always talk to him anytime.”
“Alright, honey. Make sure you spend every moment with Andrew and cherish every moment with him. That’s the best part about, honeymoon.” She advised me.
“Sure mom. I have to go now. We’re going to talk some other time.” I lied just to end the conversation.
“Okay honey. Take good care of yourself and your husband.”
“I will. Bye.”
“Bye honey.”
I dropped the phone on the bed contemplating on my mom’s words until I drifted off to sleep.
ANDREW POV
“Sir, the arrangements have been made.” Frank announced as I looked up to see him standing in front of me.
I was a bit drunk that I couldn’t process what was going on. All I could see was her face with her cute smile instead of Frank’s face.
“You’re really getting on my head, Tia. You’re really a temptress to really withstand.”
“You’re a bit drunk sir. I will leave you to rest for a while.”
“I’m not drunk. I know what I am saying. I can’t bear to live under the same roof with her. I might blindly fall for her charms.”
“Alright sir but I don’t think it will be a good idea to leave with your condition.” He suggested.
“That won’t be necessary.” I insisted and got on my feet before grabbing my coat and making my way out as he trailed behind me.
**
“Sir, don’t you think we should inform your wife of this trip?” Frank asked suddenly as we headed towards the plane.
I wanted to ignore his question but seeing he isn’t aware of my plans yet I had to answer.
“That won’t be necessary.”
“Why did you say so, sir? She’s your wife and she needs to know so she won’t be really worried.”
“That’s because I don’t regard her as my wife and she’s also the reason why I can’t go back for now. I think that’s enough of the question.”
“I’m sorry sir.” He apologized but I ignored him and got into the plane.
I need to be as far away from her as possible so she won’t have to use her spells on me just like she has done to both my parents and my personal assistant.
Spending two months or more isn’t something too much. My businesses are running good in my absence so there’s nothing I have got to worry about.
ONE WEEK LATER
MRS WALTON POV
I was feeding my husband breakfast when my phone chirped on the table close to the bed.
I took a look at the caller name to see it was Andrew calling. I’m sure he’s together with Tia.
“Who is it?” He asked.
“It’s our son.”
“Shouldn’t he be on his honeymoon with his wife?”
“That’s what I am also thinking but let's hear what he has to say and how their honeymoon is going.” I replied and picked the call.
“Hi darling.”
“Hey mom. How is dad doing?” He asked.
“Is it just your dad you love so much, not care to ask how I am faring as well?”
“I’m sorry. How are you doing and how’s dad's health?”
“We're both fine, son. The doctor is discharging him by next week.”
“Can I talk with him, please?”
“Sur.” I answered and informed my husband who asked me to turn the speaker on.
“Hello son.”
“Hi dad. How are you feeling?” Andrew asked, with so much concern like he used to be when talking to his father.
Their bond is so strong that no one can come in between them. I really want Tia and I bond to grow as strong as theirs.
“How is the honeymoon going between you and your wife?”
“It’s going fine dad.”
His reply didn’t move me one bit because I know how Andrew doesn’t like the marriage.
I wonder how my darling Tia is doing. I really don’t know if I did the right thing by matching her up with my cold-hearted son who I have tried every possible means to bring back to his old self but failed.
I just hope she gets to forgive me for getting her into the mess she’s in right now.
“Where is Tia, I want to speak to her?” I asked, waiting to hear what he had to say.
“She’s taking a shower but I’ll inform her you asked after her.” He explained, thinking I will believe his lies.
It really shows in his voice he doesn’t like how I praise her and how beautiful she looks. There’s no way a man won’t be moved by Tia’s pure heart and beauty. Soon enough, he will be praising her when he falls head over heels with her.
“If you say so.”
“I hope to hear some good news in a few months about my grandchild.”
“That’s right, my love. You’re expecting grandchildren soon, son, so start preparing.” I added.
I’m sure he must be boiling in anger right now. I really wish I could see his face.
“I will talk to you guys later. I want to take care of something.” He said in a rush and ended the call.
“Why is he acting this way, my queen?” My husband asked.
“He isn’t acting in any way, my love. You don’t have to worry about anything.” I assured him with a warm smile.
I really want their love story to begin already but Andrew is really proving stubborn and there’s no time left because sooner or later, his dad will learn of the truth if he keeps acting this way.
I need to do something really fast about it. I can’t risk having my husband fall into another health condition because of my mess.
TIA POV
It's been a week since I set my eyes on Andrew nor do I know where he is. He never called or informed anyone where he was going.
I would have reached out to him but unfortunately, I don’t have his contact. I just pray and hope he’s safe wherever he is.
I finally decided to resume back to the office and handle things since Andrew and I ain’t even a thing not to talk of having a wedding night today.
I don’t even know if I can get close to him and try to change him like I made the promise to ma’am Sarah.
I have got to make an attempt and see how things turn out. Ma’am Sarah has so much faith in me and I’ve made a promise to her which I will have to fulfill.
