Chapter 19: Chapter 19
ANDREW POV
It was already past an hour before we arrived at the church and there wasn’t any sign of my mom and the so-called woman I will be getting married to.
If they decide to waste another time, I might end up cutting off the wedding and I won’t care what my mom will think of me.
The gathering was just of six people, the priest, myself, Frank and three other bodyguards but I'm sure from the bride's side they might just be five including my mom.
“Could you call my mom and ask her where they’re so we can get done with the shit.” I whispered to Frank who was standing right beside me.
“Okay sir.” He replied and excused himself to make the call.
I really don’t have all day long in this marriage of a thing and like I said, I’m only doing it for the sake of my dad’s health condition.
After some minutes, he came with a smile on his face like he was the one getting married.
“What now?” I glared at him.
“They just arrived.” He stated.
“Is that why you’re smiling like someone who just won a lottery?” I asked, staring at him in disbelief.
“It’s really nothing sir. I’m just happy that’s all.”
“Whatever!” I scoffed and took my gaze to the door to find it opening with my bride to be holding hands with her father.
I don't know how it happened but my breath seized for a couple of seconds as she was looking more beautiful in reality than in the picture.
What could this crazy feeling be? I better snap out of it before she completely bewitches me with her spell just like she did to my mom.
I took a look at Frank to find him smiling sheepishly.
"What the hell do you think you're doing?" I questioned him in a low tone.
"Nothing sir. Your bride is here, that's why." He responded.
"Get your shit together or you won't like the outcome." I gritted my teeth.
"I'm sorry sir. I just get too excited about these." He managed to say as I threw him a deadly glare before composing myself.
I'm only doing this due to my dad's wish and health condition and not what my mom is thinking. And there's possibly no way I'll let mom prove this marriage is for my own good.
TIA POV
I couldn’t really see my groom's face closely until my dad and I got closer to the altar and that's when it drowned on me. I wasn’t just getting married to a billionaire alone but to a handsome god in human disguise.
He was the most handsome being I've ever come across. It was like he was created separately different as a human.
I couldn't believe my eyes until my dad gave me away to him and his alluring cologne hit through my nostril sending wild spread of butterflies to my stomach.
I kept stealing glances from time to time as we stood in front of the priest.
"We're gathered here today to witness the union of these two wonderful people. If there's someone here who isn't in support of their union should please step forward or forever hold their peace." The old priest stated.
After a short silence, the priest proceeded to the wedding vow.
"Andrew Walton, do you take Tia Collins to be your wedded wife? Do you promise to love, honor, cherish and protect her, forsaking all others and holding only to her forevermore?"
"I do." My husband-to-be replied.
"Tia Collins, do you take Andrew Walton to be your wedded husband? Do you promise to love, honor, cherish and protect him, forsaking all others and holding only to him forevermore?"
I gulped my saliva totally nervous to respond but after summoning courage, I answered.
"I do."
"Please, exchange your rings." The priest further said as Mr Frank stepped forward with the ring on a pillow holding it towards my husband to be.
I pulled my left hand forward as he gently inserted the shiny ring on my hand before Katie stepped forward as well with the second ring.
And with shaking hands I took the ring and slowly inserted it on his ring finger and quickly took a look at his handsome face once more.
"By the power invested in me, I now pronounce you, husband and wife. You may kiss the bride."
I totally froze on my spot when I heard the priest's last words. Usually, I'm not really scared of kissing but at this point having to kiss such a handsome man really made me nervous completely.
I was still lost in my short thoughts when I felt my veil being moved behind and the strong cologne of his perfume was already radiating my head.
With a long grin on his face, he moved his face closer to mine and whispered to my left ear.
"Remember this is only a charade so don't take this kiss to the heart."
He pulled away from my ear before capturing my lips off guard.
I don't know how to describe this feeling but I felt a series of butterflies jumping in my stomach as he deepened the kiss even more which almost melted my heart completely.
I was close to kissing him back when he pulled away with a grin at the corner of his lips.
I don't know what to really say about this kiss. It felt so real and pure with unexplained emotions.
The applause coming from my parents and the rest was what brought me back from my little thought.
I tried to steal a look from my wedded husband when I found him staring at me with a smile which got me curious what he wanted to say again as he moved his face to my ear again.
"Don't feel too happy I kissed you. This is just the beginning of your biggest nightmare, Mrs Walton. You have no idea what you just got yourself into." He whispered and pulled away with a devilish grin on his face.
What does he really mean by that? Oh God, I hope it isn't what I am thinking this is?
