Chapter 18: Chapter 18

TIA POV

I have never been anxious and nervous at the same time in my life. I can’t believe I will be getting married to a billionaire whom I have never seen before today. Should I say it is really a blessing in disguise or something?

Today, I won’t bear the Collins surname but the Walton. I really don’t know why I feel a bit scared tying the knot with my soon to be husband. I never even bothered to ask how or what he looks like from ma’am Sarah.

“Honey, ain’t you prepared to get yourself ready for your wedding?” Mom asked as she joined me on the bed still on my night dress.

“It's not like I am not ready. I’m just a bit nervous.”

“You don’t have to be nervous about anything. Today is a very important day in your life and you need to be happy, not nervous since you have got the best mother-in-law and the best husband.” She uttered with a smile.

I just hope so too mom. I want him to be exactly like ma’am Sarah.

“I’m just happy you’re finally getting married after so many persuasions.” She added.

“Where is the bride to be?!” We heard Katie’s voice coming from the stairs as we both chuckled to ourselves.

“Your bestie is really fun, you know.”

“Yes, she is.” I forced a smile.

“Hello auntie. There you are, babe. I had to rush all the way here to get you ready for your billionaire husband.” She appeared at the door with a grin on her face.

“How are you doing, honey?” Mom asked as she walked in.

“I’m doing great auntie. I hope I am not late?”

“You’re just in time, honey. Come talk to your bestie to get ready.”

“Is that so, bestie? Were you actually waiting for me?”

“Not really but it's a good thing you showed up.” I smiled.

“Alright girls, I’ll leave you guys to have your little chats before the makeover artists arrive.” Mom explained.

“Okay auntie. By the way, you look really sexy.”

“You’re really making me blush, honey. Thank you.”

“No problem, auntie.” She responded as mom walked out of the room leaving both of us.

“So, what’s up babe? Are you not really excited you’re getting married to a billionaire today?”

“What’s there to be happy about when it is not even based on love but just a commercial marriage that might not even work out at the end?” I asked.

“Come on Tia, why all these? Moreover, you don’t know if your husband-to-be might be like his mom. So, you have got to keep your faith high.”

“I’m just having this bad feeling this marriage is only the beginning of my suffering.”

“Don’t say such words. You never know what you might say might come true so please be positive.” She stated.

“Let's get you ready for a good shower before the makeup artists show up.” She added before pulling me up as we both headed to the shower.

Should I just believe what she’s saying or just go in with what my heart is telling me?

ANDREW POV

I don’t know if I really want this marriage to go on or just end things before tying the knot with any woman.

Marriage has never been part of my achievement but here I am going against my decision of staying single forever all for my dad’s health condition.

“Oh my, you look so cute and handsome, baby. I can’t believe you’re finally getting married today.” Mom uttered standing by the door.

“Hey mom.” I mumbled.

“What’s with the attitude, son? It’s your wedding day so that shouldn’t be coming from a new to be husband to someone. It's your day today so you’ve got to give it your very best and be happy for once.”

“Give it my very best, my foot. I’m sure you know why I agreed to this marriage mom so please stop acting like it was my wish all along.”

“Anyways, I’m going to help in getting the bride ready so you can go over to the church with Frank before we join you guys, okay?”

“I don’t care, mom. I just want to get over with the wedding and carry on with my normal life.”

“Let's see how you will go about that when you finally have a temptress beside you.” She giggled and walked away.

“Is that a dare, mom?” I yelled.

“Yes son and I will definitely prove your words wrong once you tie the knot with Tia.” She replied with laughter.

I’ll surely prove to her that I can’t be attracted to any woman no matter how beautiful she looks.

**

After a couple of minutes waiting for Frank to show up with the wedding ring he finally turned up.

“What the hell took you so long to get the ring?”

“I’m sorry sir. I had to pick the best of the best just like Mrs Walton instructed.” He explained which almost pissed me off.

“I don’t know why you and my mom find this marriage really special, which it isn't at all.”

“Are you ready sir?”

“What does it look like to you?” I glared at him.

“I’m sorry sir. Shall we proceed?” He urged me to step forward as we headed outside.

TIA POV

“Oh darling, you look extremely beautiful. There’s no way my son won’t be moved by such beauty.” Ma’am Sarah complimented.

“Thanks mom.” I beamed as the makeover artists helped me with the overflowing wedding gown.

“You don’t look bad, bestie. I’m sure your groom will be really stunned by your looks.” Katie whispered in my ear.

“I’m so emotional right now. My baby is really beautiful.” Mom uttered emotionally.

“I also feel the same way, Lisa but this isn’t the right time to pour out our emotions. We have a wedding to catch.” Ma’am Sarah called my mom by her name.

“Yes, we need to hurry up.” Mom responded.

“Are you ready, darling?” Ma’am Sarah asked me.

“Yes mom, I’m ready.” I answered as Katie helped me with my bouquet of lily flowers while two of the makeover artists helped with the gown before we walked out of the room.

I was a bit happy the wedding was a simple one which involved only family members and some few friends.

I really can’t wait to finally meet the man I am getting married to.
