Chapter 16: Chapter 16

TIA POV

We arrived at a big mind blowing fashion design company with a bold name written as S.R.W Fashion Company which sounded just like ma’am Sarah initials.

“Welcome to my company, darling.”

“You really own this company?” I asked in surprise.

“Yes honey. I’m a fashion designer and will be in charge of your wedding dress.”

“Whoa, it’s really surprising.”

“Yeah, I know. I should have told you earlier but I wanted to make it a surprise.” She explained, holding my hand as we made our way inside.

“Good morning ma’am.” The three bodyguards standing by the door greeted her and opened the door for us to get in.

“Good morning gentlemen.” She answered with a radiant smile as we stroll inside to find staff moving to and fro carrying out one or two other tasks.

“Good morning ma’am.” Three female staff who saw us greeted her.

“Good morning darlings. How is the work going?” She asked no one in particular.

“It’s going smoothly, ma’am.” The fair skinned lady among them answered.

“Good, keep up the good work. Let me show you to my office, darling.” She gestured towards the elevator as we got in and headed to the third floor.

In less than two minutes, the elevator dinged and we both stepped out and took a quiet narrow path and after a while, we arrived at a spacious office.

“Please, make yourself comfortable. I’ll be right back.” She said and urged me to take a seat towards the living room dimension.

“Okay mom.” I answered as she walked out of the office leaving me to keep admiring the office.

The office was really big and beautiful with quality luxuries and world class setting for an office.

After a short while, she walked back in with six ladies carrying three different types of wedding dresses.

“Come over here, sweetie.” She gestured to me as I strolled over to join her while the ladies kept holding the dresses on each side.

“These are the three best dresses I designed for you and I can’t seem to pick the best among them. So, I want you to pick the one you like most among them.”

“I roam my eyes on the dresses which are all beautiful but the strapless one with hibiscus flowers around it was the best among them for me.

“I will try out this one.” I pointed towards the strapless dress.

“Alright, let's get you in the dress then. Ladies, please show her to the dressing room and help her with whatever she needs.”

“Okay ma’am.” They responded and gestured me out of the office as we took a short walk and stopped in front of a large spacious room filled mainly with wedding dresses.

“This way please, ma’am.” A light skinned lady among the ladies urged me towards a door I think is the dressing room.

I followed her quietly as she opened the door with two other ladies holding the wedding gown.

I took my clothes off before putting on the wedding gown with the help of the ladies.

The dress was really fit and perfect on my body.

“It fits you perfectly, ma’am.” One among the ladies complimented.

“Thank you.”

“I’ll go get ma’am to come check the dress out. Please, hold on a bit.” The light skinned lady said.

“No problem.”

In a short while, ma’am Sarah and the lady showed up as ma’am Sarah exclaimed.

“Oh, my God! The dress looks so beautiful on you, darling. I can’t really imagine how you’re going to look on your wedding day.”

“Thank you mom.” I smiled shyly.

“You’re welcome darling. I knew the dress would fit you perfectly which was why I made them myself.”

“I really appreciate your effort on the dress.”

“Don’t mention darling. You can take off the dress now. We still have to go shopping for your shoes and other important dresses for your wedding night.” She explained which got me blushing.

“Okay mom.” I replied, calmly.

With the help of the ladies, I took off the dress and put on back my clothes before going to join ma’am Sarah in the office.

ANDREW POV

“Are you sure this information is from a good source?”

“Yes sir. The information is highly fortified.”

“Good. You can get back to work.” I instructed.

“Right away, sir.” He responded and stepped out of the office while I stared at the white envelope on my desk.

I pulled the envelope closer to my front and unsealed the contents out to find a file and pictures of my soon to be wife.

For the first time in my life, I haven’t been more stunned at such beauty. Her sea blue eyes looked so innocent and charming and her face was really spotless and radiant just as her smile. Indeed her beauty is one of its kind but I can’t be bewitched by her looks.

Attitude isn’t written in the face. The prettiest of faces can have the worst of attitude and bad influence in someone’s life which Naomi was one among such people.

I put away the pictures and focused on the details about her life history.

I wasn’t moved by her life history one bit. She’s so stupid to have allowed a man embezzle such amount of money from her and as for the man, he’s really a disgrace to men.

He stooped too low in other to use a woman for his greedy interest. But nevertheless, I still find it hard to see she’s the opposite of Naomi.

Naomi was the definition of the demon’s wife or more of the devil’s bitch. She really isn’t someone special to talk about and recalling her name really makes my blood boil. However, for this Tia of a thing, I don’t know why I find her strange.

TIA POV

I got home really worn out from the shopping and headed directly to my room to take a short nap since I didn’t find my dad and mom in the living room.

I fixed the wedding dress and the other shopping bags inside my wardrobe and decided to take a shower first when suddenly I heard a knock on the door.

“Who is it?” I asked.

“It’s me, baby. One of the maids told me you just arrived.” Mom replied from the door.

“Come in mom.” I urged her in as she stepped in with a radiant smile on her face.

“So, how was the shopping?”

“It was great, mom. I really had a lot of fun with her.” I answered, referring to ma’am Sarah.

“That’s so good to hear. She’s really kindhearted and friendly.”

“Yes, she is. I’m so exhausted right now.”

“I want to have a look at your wedding dress.”

“Sure, you can check it in my wardrobe.” I announced and headed to the shower.

I turned on the water inside the bathtub and got into the warm cooling water to cool my nerves down.
