Chapter 15: Chapter 15
TIA POV
“Did I really hear you well?” I inquired after finding myself back.
“Yes ma’am. That’s exactly what Mr Walton asked me to let you know.”
“I really can’t believe this. I haven’t met him yet and he’s doing such great things for me.”
“Are you satisfied with the contract, ma’am?” He asked.
“Yes, I’m really okay with it.”
“Since you don’t have a problem with it, you can sign them and give me one of the copies.” He suggested.
“Sure.” I replied and took out my pen to sign.
I signed on all the spots which required my signature before handing one of the documents to him.
"Thank you ma'am. I'll take my leave now. Have a nice day."
"You, too." I responded as he bowed his head before walking out of the office.
I really need to call ma'am Sarah and thank her. She has really done so much for me more than I ever imagined.
"Hi darling. How's your day going?" Her voice bloomed.
"I'm fine mom. My day is really going great and it wouldn't have happened if it wasn't because of you."
"Really? What did I do?"
"I got a contract deal from the Walton group of enterprise and it wouldn't have happened if you hadn't
"I'd told you I don't joke with someone I love, right? Anyways, it's one of your wedding presents from me. There's a lot more waiting for you."
"It's really too much, seriously."
"To me it isn't so don't complain to your mother-in-law." She said, jokingly.
"Okay mom." I laughed.
"Alright. I'll talk to you later. I'm handling some matters at the moment."
"Okay, bye."
Bye darling." She replied and ended the call.
THREE DAYS LATER
ANDREW POV
"So tell me, why you won’t meet the lady you're getting married to before the wedding."
"That's because I don't have to since it’s not of much importance to me.”
“This is really unbelievable. I can’t really believe those words are coming out from you, son.”
“Mom, can’t we do without arguing all the time over little things. Ever since dad slipped into coma, you’ve been finding faults in everything and I can’t seem to take it any longer.”
“Oh, really! Well, that’s because you decided to change after that incident and became cold towards everything and everyone including your own mother.”
“I’m late for the office and also, I won’t be coming home tonight. I’ll be spending the night at my mansion.”
“Just great, you just know how to give your mom those cold words after an argument. I’ll arrange for your wedding suit to be made by one of the best fashion designers since you’re not coming with us.”
“I don’t want any other person making my dresses except you.”
“As you wish, I’m off to meet with your soon to be wife anyway.”
“Okay.” I murmured as she walked out of the room while I continued knotting my tie.
I just don’t know why she keeps pushing me too far into acting like a jerk when I don’t want to. I really don’t want to hurt her in any way but what can I possibly do when all I feel inside me is hurt and anger of Naomi’s betrayal to the family.
I really want to know the lady who brainwashed my mom into falling into her charms to get to me.
I pulled out my phone from my suit and dialed Frank’s number which he picked on the first ring.
“Good morning sir.”
“I need all the information you can get about the lady I am getting married to.”
“Alright sir. I will work on it right away.”
“Good. I want the information before the day runs out.”
“It will be done sir.” He affirmed before I disconnected the phone.
I want to know who I am really getting married to and what’s so special about her that my mom can’t seem to stop praising her.
MRS WALTON POV
I felt deeply hurt by his words for refusing to meet up with Tia even if it’s just once before the wedding.
Sometimes, I just wish I never made the mistake of bringing in Naomi as a family unaware she was only an imposter sent to destroy our family.
I just hope Tia will be able to bring back his old ways and prove to him she isn’t like every other rude lady out there.
“Let's get going.” I stated to my personal bodyguard as he opened the car for me.
I got in first before he joined the front seat with the driver before asking for our direction.
“Take me to the Collins mansion.”
“Okay ma’am.” He replied before instructing the driver to take off along with two other cars as an escort.
**
After the long drive, we arrived at the mansion as I stepped out from the car and strolled towards the door.
I pressed on the doorbell waiting for someone to open up for me and in a short while, a maid opened up.
“Good morning ma’am.” She greeted me politely.
“Good morning darling.” I answered with a warm smile and stepped in.
“Please, have a seat ma’am. What can I get you?” She asked as we stopped in the living room.
“I’m fine darling. Just inform Tia and her parents I am here.”
“Okay ma’am. Please make yourself comfortable, I’ll be right back.”
“I will honey.” I smiled and took a seat on the larger sofa.
After a short while, they all came down from the stairs.
“What a present surprise Sarah!” Mr Collins walked up to me with a hand shake.
"Yeah, Collins. I wanted to surprise you all." I got on my feet and shook hands with him while I hugged Sofia, Tia's mom.
"Tia darling, I came to pick you up for shopping." I uttered, hugging her.
"Shopping?" She asked.
"Oh sorry, where are my manners? We're going shopping for your wedding dress." I beamed with a smile.
She has no idea the type of dress I made myself for her and how I plan their wedding to be in a grand style.
