Chapter 113: Chapter 113

The employees quieted down immediately.

“You, come here!” Priscilla pointed at the girl.

Sabrina hesitated in her cubicle. “Mrs. Ju’an.” She avoided Priscilla’s eyes. “I didn’t dare copy you. I didn’t even know that Mrs. Ju’an didn’t apply.”

Why would Priscilla apply? She could get that position easily, all she needed to do was to give her Dad a phone call.

But if she left the Arts Department, how sure was she that other people wouldn’t try anything funny with her husband?

Just the way she suspected that this girl was trying to do.

“You don’t have eyes for the CEO, Sabrina. Tell me, is it the Manager you want to snatch? While every girl is away, you want to remain in this department, right?”

“N-No, not really.” Sabrina shook her head. “Mrs. Ju’an, how could I?”

“Just come here.” Priscilla gestured with her hand.

Sabrina did not leave her cubicle still. She had a feeling that she wasn’t going to like what Priscilla was about to do.

The employees looked back and forth between Priscilla and Sabrina. Urgh! Where was the Manager? He should come out and take his crazy wife away.

Seriously, they were fed up with the girl.

“I won’t call you again, Sabrina.” Priscilla glowered at her. “Before I close my eyes, I want to see you standing in front of me.”

“Mrs. Ju’an, the Manager is a senior colleague and I respect him a lot. I don’t have any intentions, I just don’t want to work in the CEO’s area.”

Which girl would be crazy enough to not want to work in the CEO’s area? Priscilla didn’t believe her.

Apart from the good pay, every girl seemed to be crazy about the CEO. If Sabrina didn’t like someone else, she would have jumped at that opportunity.

“Mrs. Ju’an-“

Priscilla was more irritated. Before Sabrina could register it, the girl reached her cubicle and sent two hard slaps across her face.

The department resounded with the sound and the employees watched in astonishment.

Honestly, they were beginning to think Priscilla had a special grudge against Sabrina. Why was she so insecure about her?

“You slapped me, Mrs. Ju’an.” Sabrina was shocked again. Instantly, her cheeks became swollen and her eyes reddened.

“Do you want to slap me back?” Priscilla glared at her.

Sabrina hung her head and stood up. The more Priscilla humiliated her in the department, the more insignificant she felt.

“Mrs. Ju’an, we were friends in the past. Why are you doing this to me?”

“I said I don’t like you, Sabrina.” Priscilla dropped both hands on her waist. “And I know this innocent look on your face is only for show. I don’t trust girls like you.”

In the Arts Department, Sabrina’s beauty didn’t stand out, but she was the kind of girl who could melt everyone with her sweetness.

Her innocence was too dangerous. Those were the kind of girls men would always feel obliged to protect.

Even while they were still friends, it wasn’t like Priscilla liked the girl that much. Whenever they hung out together, at least, three men would approach the stupid girl.

Sabrina swallowed her hurt again. Silently, she left her cubicle and walked away.

“Where do you think you’re going?” Priscilla stopped her.

“Mrs. Ju’an, I only want to use the washroom,” Sabrina answered. The girl looked downcast and the employees pitied her.

On her way out of the department, she bumped into Annie and Layla coming back from lunch break.

“Urgh! Seriously, Priscilla!” Layla groaned out loud, seeing how Sabrina looked. She didn’t need to ask what happened.

“Sabrina, are you alright?” Annie asked her softly.

Sabrina only shook her head and entered the elevator. The girl claimed she was going to use the washroom, but she didn’t return soon.

She spent a very long time there, probably crying her eyes out and mulling over the humiliation.

Inside the Arts Department, Layla couldn’t stop glaring at Priscilla. She wanted so much to pull her hair out until she remembered that her brother was in his office and was probably watching everything.

“Annie, I swear I can’t wait to leave this department.” She expressed her exasperation to Annie.

Annie sat down in her cubicle and nodded. “Mrs. Ju’an.” She looked at Priscilla. “You keep breaking the rules now and then. Don’t think you’re above the law. If the company can’t do anything about it, Ms. Lee might report you to the court and you have to answer to it.”

“You, Annie! Shut up! Does this concern you? Priscilla walked forward and stood in front of her. “Unless you will be the one to give Sabrina that weird advice, she won’t even dream of doing that.”

“Actually, I might.” Annie chuckled.

Thinking a fight would break out between Annie and Priscilla again, the employees who planned to quickly go down to the cafeteria before the lunch break was over stayed back.

“You’re always so full of yourself, Annie. Why don’t you deal with the problems you have caused for yourself? You are confident, now. Tomorrow, you might be crying in regret.”

“What do you mean by that, Priscilla? Don’t try anything silly this time.” Layla warned her.

“Sister-in-law, stop worrying. I just have a gift to predict the future.”

“Hypocrite,” Layla scoffed. “Mr. Yang is upright. Your father might as well stop dreaming of doing anything stupid.”

“Well, we shall see about that.” Priscilla looked at Annie and smiled. “Aren’t you happy that you have gotten back your position? Very soon, you will be out of MystiArt Productions, Annie.”

“Mrs. Ju’an, don’t you have another favorite phrase?” Annie clicked her tongue. “My ears are bleeding from hearing the same thing all the time.”

“Pfft.” One employee almost gave himself away because he couldn’t control his laughter. Luckily, Priscilla’s back was facing him so she didn’t know who among the employees laughed.

They couldn’t help but agree with Annie. Priscilla kept saying that Annie would be out of the company always.

Why hadn’t that happened yet?

Honestly, they were also fed up with hearing the same phrase all the time.
