Chapter 58: Chapter 58
Adrianna POV.
"Finally, we are going to the streets of America," Ivy said as we got out of the house.
"Girl, we don't even own a car here and you are already happy about such a petty thing," I said with a chuckle.
"I know but that don't matter. After all, since we are going for shopping, we will get a car from a car dealer," she said.
"Then I just hope you have carried your fake id. We don't want to mess anything just because f a shopping which could be done online," I said seriously making her roll her eyes.
"Do you have to always to a joy killer? Anyways, as for your information, yes, I carried them together with the fake bank cards," she said as she waved her bag in front of me making Jassy grab it making me smile. "Dude, can you let go of your aunty's bag."
Jassy looked at her innocently as she hugged it tightly and hidden it in my chest.
"Who the hell did this kid take after for real?" she asked as she shook her head.
"Come on, if both of you are going to start your little tantrums then you all better go back to the house," I said making Ivy stop fooling around.
"Come on, we can just go to the car dealer today then we will go shopping another day when we have a car since its tiresome to walk with the baby and also currently dangerous since we are still on hunt," she said after we walked for a couple of steps.
"Don't tell me that you are already tired while you aren't the one holding the baby," I said while looking at her. She threw me a helpless look and a shook my head. " I have always told you to accompany me for morning runs but you always say that that is for fat people who want to lose weight. What if we were ambushed right now? Are you still going to walk that slow and pretend that you are tired?'
"Girl, please don't start lecturing me. We aren't under any attack and we both know that everything would be different if that's the case," she said as she walked forward.
"Did you do what I told you to do?" I asked after walking for sometime.
"Yeah, I did. Luckily, we already had one of our men who had gone to Russia for a mission and also, the russians are in a hurry to recruit more men so that their mafia may be larger than the Italians, Mexicans and Spanish combine," she replied as she halted.
"Have you checked whether he has passed the tests?" I asked since I was full of worry and I needed to get everything under my control immediately.
"I don'tb know but I really hope he does cause that better than killing one of their men and pretending to be one of them," she answered.
"Its been two hours since you spoke to him if I am not mistaken. Maybe we should call him and ask him whether he did pass," I said.
"Do you know that you've still kept me in the dark? Whats your plan actually?"
"I just want to kill that man and his family as soon as possible. That way, if won't be in worry that another Elijah will immerge. And so as to have a better control over the Russians, I will take over it," I explained calmly.
"What? What makes you think that the Russians under them will approve of you?"
"I know that they won't but I will force them into submission. After all, I have to secure my kids future. We both know that if we fail to do that, Jassy may one day get in trouble or one of my enemies or even Ace's will come after her. There for, to have a large force under us is better than as always living with worry about been attacked," I said hoping that she will understand what I meant.
"Okay, I understand what you mean but we still have a kid to look after for now," she said as she turned her gaze looking around the road as if she was trying to find something at the shops along the road, making me roll my eyes.
"Yes, we do have a kid but till when will we wait? Till the time she is in trouble? Furthermore, there are many innocent lives suffering in Russia. We both know that Victor had always tried his best to put a stop to his brother's craziness even if he couldn't kill him and also the fact that he had a collaboration with the Russian government to provide peace for the innocent," I said.
"Come on, do you have to mention that man again? How many times have I had his name since morning?" she said.
"I know whats bothering you but I won't say it out loud since I am afraid that you will be mad at anytime."
"I am just afraid of what the Russians will do after their leader dies," she said with a sad voice.
"Hei, you don't need to worry. Have you forget that we are Victor's daughters? Even if we are just adopted, we have the rights to ask for his inheritance, have you thought about that?" I asked as I scanned the environment which I was in.
"What are you trying to say cause I really can't understand you?" she asked her eyes full of curiosity.
"Sometimes you amaze me so much. According to Victor's and Elijah's ages, Victor is older than Elijah. Also, according to the Russian mafia leadership laws, it claims that the eldest son is the one who is supposed to be the leader. Ho comes that Elijah ended up been the leader instead of Victor. For as I know, Victor is much as powerful as Elijah actually, I think that Victor is more powerful," I said as I walked to a bench which was near us.
"So you want to tell me that the power and sit which Elijah has is rightful Victor's?" she asked as she sat next to me.
"Yes, it is. I really don't know what happened in between but that's all I know. That time as I was investigating about the Russians mafia leader family, Victor got me and prohibited me in doing so. What I have just told you is all I found in the morning. Since you are a computer expert, I am looking forward in you going deeper in to the matter," I said.
"You think that something might have happen making Elijah to end up been the leader?" she asked and nodded my head as a sign of agreement. "That might also been the reason there was enemity between the two brothers."
"Yeah," I said plainly as I started feeding Jasmine.
"Then what will you do about Ace?" she asked and I raised my eyebrows to her. " What am asking is, after taking care of the Russians mess, will you go back to him?"
"I honestly don't know. I haven't made up my mind."
"By the way, you have never told me why you ran away from him," she asked and I felt as if my head would start aching.
"Nothing much happened. I was just tired of living there and I wanted a piece of break," I said hoping that she wouldn't prob me any further.
"Then, will you be going back?" she asked and I glared at her.
After some few minutes of silence, I heard her disturbing voice once more. "Don't tell me that you aren't planning to go back," she exclaimed and I sighed inwardly.
"Did he come to our place to ask for my hand in marriage?" I asked as I stared at her.
"No," she answered.
"Are we both married?" I asked.
"Then why are you asking me silly questions? Or don't you want me close to you or even better, you are already tired of both Jasmine and I," I said calmly as I waited for her answer.
"Gosh, that's not what I meant. I thought that you had the plans of going back to him once everything is settled. After all, he is Jasmine's dad and he has all rights to know that both of you have a daughter," she said as she looked wronged making me chuckle.
"Why are you laughing? Or am I right?" she asked making me shake my head indicating a no.
"Ma..ma...ma...da...da...da," we heard a soft voice and we turned to face Jasmine who was already looking at us.
"You really can't be serious Jassy. I am the one who has been taking care of but you even can't say my name first or even call me aunty! Instead, you are calling out for your parents," Ivy said as she pretended to cry.
I saw, Jasmine raising her hands and tried to reach out for Ivy's cheeks. I got close to Ivy so that the little kid can reach out to her. Reaching out, she wiped the fake tears making Ivy froze while I smiled.
"No need to cry anymore. Look, she also seems as if she wants to cry and furthermore, stop pretending as if you haven't been teaching her those words," I said making Ivy come back to her senses.
"But that doesn't mean that she should call out those names for the first time she talks," she said.
"Just stop been a crybaby. We both know that most if the things that Jassy does, she has copied from you," I said making her chuckle.
Ding.
Ding.
We heard the vibration of a phone and we looked at the direction of which the voice was coming from.
"Who is it?" I asked as soon as I learnt it was Ivy's business phone.
"Its the man whom we sent to the Russian's mafia premises texting asking whether it is the right time for him to talk to me," she said as she looked at me so that I can tell her what she should answer.
"We are currently on the road and we need to be cautious. Tell him to give you thirty minutes so that we can have already bought a car and gone back home," I said.
