Chapter 100: Chapter 100

He had to watch over his wife, even if the woman wanted her attention. She doesn't even give him any attention at all.

Sherry forced out a fawning smile when she saw that the man was jealous.

Damn! He is even jealous of a woman?

What the hell.

"Hubby, I'm hungry" Sherry pouted to take his mind off Tara.

Bryan nodded, he dipped his hand into his pocket and brought out his phone, he dialed a number.

"Bring the food" He said and hung up.

Sherry clenched her fist, she could still remember how the truck almost hit her car, She looked at Bryan with a serious look, "I want to find the mastermind, I won't let the person off" She said as she gritted her teeth.

Bryan's face also turned serious, "I'm already investigating it, there would be results soon" He reassured her.

"What about the driver?" Sherry asked, she was sure the mastermind was connected to the driver or the driver of the truck was even sent by the unknown person.

Who did she offended that is so vicious and wants to take her life without caring?

She has never encountered something like this before so she was still frightened and sweats were on her forehead.

"He died, the doctor said he was drunk so the accident is inevitable" Bryan explained.

He didn't mention that the police wanted to close the case as drunk driving but he didn't allow them to and asked them to continue investigating, he also asked his men too.

Sherry nodded with no sympathy in her eyes because she knew that the driver was sent by someone, "What about his family?" She asked.

"He is a drinker, his wife divorce him because he always hit her whenever he was drunk, she remarried and took all her children away but they never met or contacted each other since then. But my men found out that he received a huge sum of money the day before that day after receiving a call from a number" Bryan explained everything to her.

Sherry listened attentively because she knew that she had to take the matter seriously. Three lives were almost lost, like their lives were chicken.

"Did you investigate the number? Can you also try to recover what the driver and the number said that day?" Sherry asked because she remembered that he recovered her father's conversation with the house owner even though it has been more than twenty years since it happened.

"They are working on that, a result will come up soon" Bryan reassured her once more.

Sherry nodded.

Knock!

Someone knocked on the ward room door.

Bryan stood up and walked towards the door, he opened it and collected the bag on Clinton 's hand and dismissed him.

He walked towards her and served the food on the table.

The aroma of the food made her stomach growl, she immediately picked up the spoon and started eating without waiting for him to tell her.

She had to eat very well and be healthy so she would have the energy and strength to take revenge.

Bryan smiled when he saw this.

She finished eating and drank water to her fill.

She sighed in relief after taking care of her stomach.

"Did you know that something will happen to me today?" Sherry asked casually even though she was curious as hell.

Bryan shook his head and replied, "No".

"So why did you come to school today?" Sherry asked as her ears perked up.

"Grandma missed you and asked me to bring you home," Bryan replied.

He received a call from Grandma that day. Grandma asked me to bring her home. Mrs Adamson and her husband were also at his Grandma's place. He wanted to instruct Clinton to go and drive her before he remembered that she drove a car to school. He had a bad feeling that day and decided to go himself with Clinton so he would drive her in his car while Clinton would drive her car back home, who knew that immediately he parked the car in front of her school and went to ask her. He was told that she had already left, he took the direction that they told him and caught sight of her car when the traffic light was red.

He followed her and realized that something was wrong, the car kilometer per hour increased drastically and the car was going at full speed.

He caressed her face, "You are very brave" He praised her.

Some delicate girls would have broken down at the sight of the truck but she persisted.

"Of course" Sherry raised her chin in a smug manner.

Bryan chuckled.

"Uhm…. How did the car stop? Did you do something? Or maybe the angels felt that I'm too good so they decided to spare my life" Sherry said in a thoughtful way.

Bryan shook his head, "Don't over think, I'm the angel who stopped the car" Bryan said with a smile.

"How did you do that?" Sherry asked.

Their cars were far from each other so how did he make the car stop moving after she took a turn.

"I threw something at the tires and the petrol also finished so it stopped" Bryan explained.

He kept throwing sharp things at the car tire fortunately, when she took a turn, there was a sharp nail on the floor and it immediately made the tire burst and at the same time the petrol in the car finished at the same and the car stopped after she took a turn not when the truck almost hit the car.

"Oh" Sherry nodded.

Fortunately, Bryan was driving behind her and the petrol also finished coincidentally, if not she would have died and implicated Tara and her baby.

Thinking about it made her more determined to investigate the matter clearly and won't let the mastermind go Scot free.

"It is fine now" Bryan said and caressed her hand reassuringly. He thought she was still traumatized from the accident and tried to make her stop thinking about it.

"Mm," Sherry nodded firmly.

It is fine now.

She is still alive, breathing and kicking. Tara is also alive with her baby, only the driver dead which he deserved but she felt that him dying is letting him off easily.

Fortunately, where the accident happens, people rarely pass there so no one gets hurt except the driver. No human or car passed there when the accident happened so it didn't result in bloodshed.

Knock!

Someone knocked at the door.

The door opened after the knock and someone walked in.

Sherry raised her head and looked at the person.

She was stunned when she saw the person.
