Naira’s POV

Like as usual I entered Akash’s cabin only to find the person I wanted to face the least standing there.

Ehan.

Remembering my promise to myself, I left from there completing my saying to Akash and without bothering to turn to him once more.

I forwarded home. Many questions were making their way to my mind but I shut it shrugging off mentally.

There was no way I was going to get weak. I had already erased him from my memory from my past.

He was already no one to me. I kept reminding this to myself again and again.

Standing at the entrance of my place, I took a deep breath and uttered cheerfully, “I am home.”

Mom and Dad laughed at me and Dad uttered from the living room, “Welcome home, honey. Come here.”

When I got near them, Mom got uttering, “Ira, where is Akash?”

I sat beside them as I uttered, “Brother will be late.”

Nodding at that, Mom spoke up again, “You get freshen up. I am bringing something for you.” and forwarded towards the kitchen.

Dad seemed to be sad. So I got uttering, “Dad?” only to get him saying, “I am sorry dear. For me you two are going through this hardship handling my business.”

I pouted like a kid and got uttering, “I thought it’s our business also.”

Dad got smiling as he got uttering, “So sorry. I forgot to mention that. It’s just of you two.”

I gave him a questioning look and got uttering, “Then? We have to work hard for maintaining our position in business world and we are doing it. Isn’t it obvious?”

Mom got near then with a tray in hand. When I got the sight of broccoli soup, I gave mom a toothy smile as it was my all time favourite.

I was about to hold the spoon but mom got ordering, “Get freshen up first, Ira.”

Smiling at her, I tried to hold the spoon again but she slightly hit my hand and got uttering, “Go.”

Pouted like a kid, I rushed to my room smilingly. When I got out of their sight, my smile faded away as the same thought of Ehan got into my mind.

Was he there for business purpose?

If yes, then it’s likely to face him frequently.

Am I ready for that?

But will Akash do any business with him?

I mean he knows my past incident with Ehan.

Will he allow him to be there where I have to be?

Will he?

No. The answer is no.

I am very sure of that...

Leaving my thought, I freshened up and got downstairs and sat in the living room.

At night Akash got pretty late. Like as usual I made Mom go to sleep earlier and kept waiting for Akash.

At dining table I kept talking on random stuffs but couldn’t get to utter anything about Ehan. When he also didn’t utter anything about that, I thought he got it solved whatever be reason Ehan was at our company.

At the Company

When I was done with my work, I got to Akash’s cabin and spoke up, “Brother, I am done. I will leave now.”

He got uttering, “Wait for few minutes. I will be done also.”

But I got uttering again, “Then you go home early. I have to go somewhere.”

He gave me a questioning look only to get me spill out the matter. Hearing me, he smilingly nodded as he uttered, “Okay. Go. Be careful on your way and don’t stay out for long.”

Nodding at him, I got out of his cabin.

I forwarded towards the exit while getting out my phone.

But it wasn’t there in my bag. I forgot it in my cabin. I got to my cabin and taking my phone when I was about to get out of my cabin again, I saw Ehan for the second time.

He was walking towards Akash's cabin.

When I saw Sameer getting out of the cabin perplexed, I got near him and asked him, “Sam, what's going on?”

“Ma’am, I don’t know actually what's going on. People from Sinha group have been trying for a few days to sign a deal with us. Sir strictly forbade me about that. And now Mr. Ehan Sinha, MD of Sinha group is here for that.”

I was all silent and Sameer went on, “But the deal will be pretty good for us as well. I am not getting why Akash Sir is being like this.”

Giving him a glance, I forwarded towards the cabin while thinking, “If this will get benefit to our company, why won’t we sign it! My problem, I will deal with that.”

I entered the cabin and both of us got silent. Akash was looking all guilty which made me upset as well.

He became the best brother for me after that accident. He did everything for me whereas I did nothing for him in return.

I can’t at least get him to be like this. Thinking like this, I looked at Ehan and took the file he was holding in front of Akash.

Two pairs of eyes were rooted on me. Without bothering their shocked looks, I spoke up formally, “We will sign this deal, Mr. Sinha.”

Akash spoke up then, “But Ira..”

Interrupting him in between, I spoke up, “It will get benefit for our company, brother. Then why won’t we! We surely will.” and turned to Ehan as I uttered the last part.

I forwarded the file to Akash and got him sign it and then again forwarded the file to Ehan as I spoke up, “We will try our best to get this deal a success. You don’t worry.”

Ehan took the file but his eyes were rooted on me only.

I turned to Akash then and got out of the cabin mentally uttering to myself, “I can do it.”

Ehan’s POV

I didn’t want to get Naira hurt again by bringing the past. But I couldn’t control myself from blackmailing Akash using that threat.

I wanted to go with the deal. To be more precise, I wanted to see the face that was haunting me for last three years.

But when the vulnerable condition of her came to my mind and that also because of me, my determination got tainted.

I kept fighting within while deciding what to do. And last I decided to get the deal signed at first. I decided to apologise to Naira when the situation comes though I was sure, she won’t be easy to forgive me.

Getting me all shocked, Naira made Akash sign the deal being all formal to me like I was just an stranger to him whom she met for the first time.

Getting the signed paper, I looked at Akash to get him utter, “We will arrange a meeting and discuss it. The meeting will be after two days.”

Nodding at him, I left from there without uttering anything. Getting out of the building, I saw Naira standing at the entrance.

She looked like she was waiting for someone. I got near her and uttered her name softly, “Naira?”

She got all startled looking at me. I spoke up again, “How are you?”

She kept staring at me for few moments and then uttered all casually, “I am all good. Thank you for asking, Mr. Sinha. What about you?”

Her words got me hurt but without bothering that, I was about to speak up but got interrupted as someone got uttering, “Hey, sweetheart. Did I make you wait for long? I am sorry.”

I turned to that person being confused who he was referring only to get all paused when I understood it was no other than Naira as she answered him all smilingly, “You don't need to say sorry. I just got here.”

The person looked at me as he uttered turning to Naira, “Busy?”

Without even turning to me, Naira spoke up, “No. Let’s go.”

I couldn’t help uttering, “Where?”

Naira looked at me as she got uttering, “We have a date.”

Before I could say something, Naira followed that guy and hopping in his car, they went away. I kept staring at the car as it went away.

I was hurt but more than that I was angry. Angry on myself for some reason.

Akash got there then and spoke up, “Naira has already forgotten her past and moved on. You should also do that.” and left from there leaving me all confused.

Many questions were brewing in my mind only to get me all worked up.

I kept standing there for a good time and then hopped in my car. Throwing the file to back seat, I forwarded towards my place. I was needed to calm myself. I was needed of my gym....
