Chapter 11: Chapter 11

Ehan's P.O.V.

While waiting for a message or a call from Naira, I fell asleep quite late at night and got late to wake up.

The first thing I did waking up in the morning was checking my phone but to my disappointment, there was nothing.

Is everything okay!

I wondered.

Except academic talkings, we never talked anything else. I knew nothing about her actually.

Suddenly I got curious about her family. Who is there in her family?

Dad, Mom?

As soon as the word 'Mom' came to my mind, the worst scenario of my life started flashing in front of my eyes. My mood was sour already.

I took a long cold shower to calm my anger. Then I got downstairs. Dad wasn't home. He was out of town for a business meeting. If he was home, he would have awaken me up earlier.

I didn't feel like eating and finding nothing else to do, I got ready and forwarded towards college. When I entered the college, Mack called me.

He was asking me to explain him something. I told him to wait for me at the library and forwarded towards the cafe to take my black coffee.

For some reason I was having a headache. Entering the cafe, I saw Naira there. She was with the girls, I wanted to talk the least.

But seeing her, I felt somewhat relieved as she was okay.

I checked the time in my wrist watch whether it was her class time.

What is she doing here let alone attending her classes!

Uttering this under my breath, I got near her only to get shocked seeing her shedding tears.

The evil smirk on Laya's face didn't go unnoticed by me. But when she uttered, "And go, see your face in the mirror. You are no match in front of my beauty. How dare you roaming around my Ehan, my property, you slut?" while glaring at Naira, it triggered my anger.

I got near them only to get them quiet. Naira kept her head down but tears were rolling down her cheeks.

Glaring at Laya, I spoke up, " You call your that face yours a beauty! Oh please, I can wipe almost 99% of your beauty with a wet tissue.

So don't flatter yourself. The only fan you have is on the ceiling.

By the way are you comfortable with this face of yours? Fake hairs, fake nails, face full of halloween make up and a fake smile.

Like me or hate me, either way I just hate you."

I stopped for a moment and then pointing at Naira, I again spoke up, "And about Naira, she is all natural. And that's what I like the most about her."

Laya's face turned all dark and holding Naira's hand, I got her outside.

Her head was still down. I uttered her name while shaking her hand, "Naira?" but got no response.

Something was off with her. I could easily feel that. I tried to talk to her but got failed. Generally what I did whenever I got upset, I thought of doing the same and asked her, "Would you mind to go with me somewhere?"

She looked at me this time but didn't utter anything.

Giving it a thought, I walked towards my car holding her hand.

My headache was long forgotten so was the matter of Mack.

Naira's P.O.V.

I didn't know whether I did any bad to that girl but she started bad mouthing me. And when she uttered, "Why have you come here middle of the term?", I tried to utter, "Actually my parents" but she didn't let me complete rather she did it making a disgusted face.

"Your parents left you alone being unable to take the way you are anymore."

These words directly crossed my heart.

Though I knew it wasn't true but for a moment I gave it a thought and tear started rolling down my cheeks.

She went on describing my character in the worst way possible but I couldn't even get to defend myself as I was stuck on her earlier sentence.

Then Ehan got there and holding my hand, he got me out of the cafe and I got in his car following him.

I didn't know where he was taking me to nor did I bothered to know. I just wanted to go away.

Go away from everyone.

I was so lost in.my thought that I didn't know when the car got stopped. I looked at Ehan confusedly when he opened the door on my side of the car and got uttering, "Come."

I got out of the car only to find we were at the sea beach. Beach was once in my wishlist to visit in my life. But today when my that long cherished wish came true, I wasn't feeling excited at all unlike the old Naira.

I looked all around and then sat on a bench there. Ehan sat beside me and got uttering making a disappointed face, "I thought you would like it to be here."

I gave him a small smile only to get him uttering, "Naira, what's wrong? Don't mind Laya and all. They are just like that without any cure. So just ignore their words."

I nodded at him and kept looking at the sea for few minutes and when I turned around, Ehan wasn't there anymore.

Though I felt hurt, but for some reason I felt like it was just natural for him to leave me alone here and again turned to the sea.

Ehan's P.O.V.

Whatever I said, all Naira did was smiling a little and that didn't even reach her eyes which were filled with tears.

Seeing her like that, I was also feeling sad. Right then my phone started vibrating. I took out my phone only to find it was Mack.

I immediately remembered that I was supposed to explain something to Mack actually. He must have called me for that.

While answering the call, I got away. Before I could say something, I heard Mack's sarcastic voice, "Your highness, when are you gonna show up in the library? I have been waiting for ages here.."

A ice-cream parlor got into my sight from a little distance. I got forwarding towards that as I spoke up, "Not now, Mack. I am little busy."

Mack got uttering, "What? Busy! But you said earlier" but interrupting him in between, I spoke up, "Get the other things done leaving the problem. Will talk later. Bye." and cut off the line.

Getting to the ice-cream parlor, I wondered which flavour Naira might like. I got two different types of flavour and forwarded towards Naira.

When I didn’t get to see her on the bench where we were sitting earlier, I got worried and looked all around.

I called out her name quite loudly, “Naira?” but got no response.

I was about to shout her name again but got stopped spotting her.

She was walking by the sea. I got near her taking long steps.

Reaching her when I called her name softly, she got all startled and turned to me. When I got uttering, “Where were you so lost to be get startled like this?”

She didn’t get to answer me anything. Something was surely off but she wasn’t sharing that with me which was making me feel sad.

I got uttering again softly, “Why did you come here? You should have waited there for me.”

She uttered making me all confused, “I thought you left.”

Like the words came automatically out of my throat hearing her, “Leaving you alone? Never.”

A small smile crept on her lips and seeing that contagious smile of Naira, I also got smiling.

But my smile got faded away when my mind chided, “She is falling for you.”

Giving all these thought a break, I forwarded an ice_cream towards her as I uttered, “I went to get ice_cream.”

She took that uttering, “Thank you.”

Right then her phone rang off. She took out her phone and seeing the caller ID, she answered the call immediately.

She seemed to be somewhat relaxed and uttered all smilingly, “Okay. Take care on your way back.”

I didn’t know who was the person on the other side of the phone call but I got somewhat jealous...

Keeping the phone back into her bag, she turned to me and spoke up, “Last night you called? I just saw it.”

Remembering last night, I wanted to ask her, “Why didn’t you call last night or answer my call?”

But my mind got replying to my unasked question, “Because she didn’t have any problem.”

I mentally snapped back, “Am I just her tutor or what!”

But leaving all these thoughts, I ended up asking, “Who was on the line?” seeing her relaxed face.

Naira got uttering with a smile, “Aunt.”

I just nodded at that and she again got uttering while eating the ice_cream, “I am sorry, I didn’t notice phone last night.”

Though I wanted to get angry on her but couldn’t do it seeing her face...

Right then few children got into our sight playing near the sea water. Naira kept staring at them.

Before I could say anything, she got uttering, “Wanna touch water?” as she walked into the water.

Generally I came to the sea whenever I felt sad. The cool weather and the scenario of the calm vast sea helped me to recharge my mood but touching water wasn’t my thing.

When she didn’t find me beside her, she turned back and uttered, “Come. You will feel good.”

When I still didn’t get going, she got near me letting out a sigh. I thought she was done with that but no.

To my utter surprise, she held my hand and started trying to take me to water.

It wasn’t like she was strong enough to drag me to water but seeing her effort, I couldn’t resist anymore and followed her to water.

“Now tell me. Aren’t you feeling good?” she asked me like an excited kid.

Before I could utter anything, it started raining all of a sudden.

I rushed towards my car only to get stopped not finding Naira following me. She was like enjoying the rain.

I got uttering quite loudly, “Naira?”

She turned to me and with the look on her face, I knew what she was going to suggest me.

Giving it a thought, I ran towards her only to hold her hand and get her running with me towards my car before she could do otherwise.

Getting into my car, I got yelling at her, “Have you gone mad? What if you catch cold!”

She uttered all smilingly, “I don’t catch cold easily.” but at the next moment she sneezed.

Seeing that, I got uttering sarcastically, “Yeah. I can see that.”

Pouting at me, she started drying her hair with hands and all I just kept staring at her.

When she turned to me, I looked away.

The rain got stopped and the weather turned to all sunny and bright like it didn’t rain few minutes ago.

Then turning to her, I spoke up, “Let’s go home now. Where do you live? I will drop you.” and started driving.

Naira got thinking for a while. I couldn’t help uttering, “Are considering to take a taxi instead of my car or trying to remember your address?”

She uttered making me all confused, “Both.” and I just uttered, “What!” as I turned to her.

Making a  worried face, she spoke up, “Ehan, watch out.”

But it was already late. I pushed someone by my car. We immediately got down and ran to the person. It was a middle aged woman. She was having problems to get up. Naira was already by her side helping her to get up.

I was also about to get hold of her but couldn’t get to do it.

As soon as I saw her face, I took few steps back and my mind got uttering, “Mom.”
