Ehan’s P.O.V.

Having a nightmare, I woke up from my sleep and sat with a thud.

I happened to see the same incident of college in my dream too and uttered in extreme anger, “Damn.”

The words of Naira and the expressions of people all around me kept flashing in front of my eyes.

It was for the first time I felt humiliated and that too publicly. My life long image got tarnished that even by a girl.

The hatred towards girls got increased few times more than before. The more I was thinking about it, the more my decision was getting confirmed.

Naira has to pay..

I hesitated for a moment to go college for the first time in my life remembering that moment which got me pissed off more. Dad was home and I didn’t want him to think otherwise.

So getting ready I left for college.

I thought Naira wouldn’t get near me after behaving like that yesterday but no.

She said sorry so easily like it was almost nothing.

Humiliating me in front of everyone was almost nothing to her.

I kept staring at her confusedly more like blankly.

What did she think of me actually!

I didn’t care who wrote the note but her uttering words towards me.

I didn’t do anything to get that...

Giving my thought a break, I uttered in my mind, “Let’s the game begin now.”

She was asking me to explain something to her again and I did that. But unlike previous day she kept staring at me without concentrating on the topic.

Like she herself was helping me along with my decision as she got uttering about going to cafe for a coffee with her after I was done explaining to her.

I got up as I uttered with a little bit of smile, “Let’s go.”

Author’s P.O.V.

When Ehan entered the cafe followed by Naira, Laya fisted her hand in anger and turned to Tessa.

Tessa spoke up confusedly, “Laya, I swear, I changed the note as you said. And anyways weren’t you also there yesterday when that girl insulted Ehan?”

Laya spoke up with the same anger, “Then how come they are together like this!” as she kept glaring at Naira.

Ehan looked all around the cafe to find his friends but none of them got into his sight only some girls who kept staring at them.

Ehan knew the reason. But without bothering that he turned to Naira. They took seats and ordered their coffee.

Naira generally liked coffee all sweet but Ehan was just opposite. Just black coffee.

As Ehan kept sipping his coffee, Naira kept staring at him.

Being unable to take it anymore, Ehan asked Naira with an irritated face, “Why are you staring at me?” only to get startled as Naira got uttering making a confused face, “How do you take this black coffee? Isn’t it extremely bitter?”

Glancing at his coffee for once, Ehan spoke up coldly, “I like my coffee this way. Any problem?”

Naira shook her head sadly and Ehan spoke up again, “Then stop staring at me and take your coffee filled with sugar.”

Naira pouted sadly as she uttered looking at her coffee, “I like it sweet.” which made Ehan looking at her confusedly.

Seeing her pouting like that a small smile crept on Ehan’s face as he uttered, “Did I say anything about it?”

Naira looked up at Ehan but didn’t utter anything. When Ehan signaled her towards her coffee with a smile, she also smiled a little and started sipping her coffee.

When they finished their coffee, Ehan thought Naira would try to spend some more time with him using some excuse but no.

Naira spoke up otherwise of his expectation, “Ehan, should we leave now? It’s pretty late.”

Nodding at her, Ehan got up as he uttered, “Okay.”

Both of them went to the cash counter. Ehan took out his wallet to pay only to get stopped as Naira got uttering, “No. I will pay. It’s my treat.”

Ehan nodded and after paying the bill, they left the cafe.

They walked up to the entrance without uttering anything and then Ehan spoke up, “Should I drop” only to get stopped as Naira uttered more like shouted, “Aawww”

He followed her gaze being confused but before he could speak up anything, he found Naira almost running.

Running after a puppy.

She got holding of the puppy at a little distance and uttered while smiling heartily, “Got you.” as she sat on the grass.

Ehan got near her with uttered confusion at her behaviour and thinking in mind, “Is she crazy or what! And where did that come from!”

When he got near, Naira was like talking to that puppy and uttered then, “Are you hungry?”

Being irritated, Ehan spoke up, “What are you doing? Leave that.”

Without bothering to look at Ehan, Naira spoke up while caressing the puppy, “It’s hungry, Ehan.”

Before Ehan could utter something, he found Naira leaving that on the grass as she uttered, “Wait here. Don’t run.” taking out a biscuit packet from her bag.

Tearing the packet, she broke some into small pieces and put that in front of the puppy.

It immediately started eating the biscuits like it was really hungry.

Seeing that, Naira caressed it’s head and got up.

Turning to Ehan, she spoke up, “Let's go.” and forwarded towards the entrance.

Ehan spoke up then, “Do you always carry biscuits in your bag or what?”

Naira uttered like it’s an obvious thing, “Yes. I have chips also. Would you like to have some?”

Naira was about to take out another packet but got stopped as Ehan got uttering quite loudly, “No. And you also don’t start to eat now.”

Giving him a confused look, she got uttering, “Why?”

Ehan uttered pointing at the puppy that was still busy in eating the biscuits, “You just held that full of germs.”

Naira looked at his pointed direction and getting him, she spoke up, “It’s a puppy, Ehan. It was hungry. So I gave him some biscuits. Why are you being like this?”

Ehan spoke up still looking at the puppy, “I don’t like puppies.”

Naira gave him a look like he was an alien and uttered, “What? How can a person not like puppies!”

Ehan uttered irritatedly, “What’s the matter with you?”

Naira spoke up looking at the puppy, “I love puppies.”

Letting out a sigh, Ehan spoke up, “Good for you.”

Naira pouted like a kid and then uttered, “Anyways, bye.” and left from there. Ehan kept standing there while staring at her as she got into a taxi and went away.

Few days passed like this. Ehan helping Naira with her studies, giving her some notes of his, stealing glances of each other, taking coffee together and all that.

Their relationship was getting built little by little with passing days without their realization. At some point they exchanged their contact numbers and late night gossips started through messages.

Generally Naira kept waking up till late at night for her studies whereas Ehan kept waiting for her messages about having problems with studies or something.

Getting just a message from Naira or a call when she uttered cutely that she got stuck with a topic, a smile crept on Ehan’s lips immediately. He solved the problem without admitting the truth to himself that he was just waiting to hear her sweet voice.

One day At Night

Naira was happily taking her dinner while gossiping with Zohan and Jiana until Zohan spoke up, “Naira, I have a meeting out of the town. I will leave early in the morning.”

Before Naira could speak up something, Jiana spoke up, “You take your breakfast and be careful on your way to college. Okay, sweetie?”

Being confused, Naira spoke up, “Mom are you also accompanying Dad?”

Jiana nodded and spoke up then, “Yes. Actually my sister, Raina also lives in that town. It’s been long I have visited her. So I was thinking of visiting her tomorrow.”

Naira just managed to utter a small nod at them as her mind was on the thought of the accident of her parents'.

She tried to give that thought a break and concentrate on her studies. Being unable to do that, she left the table and went to the balcony of her room.

Ehan kept waiting but nothing got into his phone that day. Being somewhat worried, he called Naira but the phone kept ringing on the table whereas Naira kept sitting on a chair in the balcony having thousands of thoughts in her mind.

The next day she woke up earlier than as usual to meet Zohan and Jiana whom she started to think as her parents already.

Seeing her up, Jiana spoke up being somewhat worried, “Naira? You are up already? Anything wrong, dear?”

Naira spoke up while trying to sound normal, “Nothing. Just wanted to meet you before you leave for out of town.”

Jiana felt something off and got near her. While caressing her hair, Jiana spoke up, “Naira, what happened?”

Naira looked at her with teary eyes as she spoke up, “Both of you are going to come back to me, right?”

Her voice was trembling. For a moment Jiana got confused and then the memory of the accident of Naira's parents hit her mind. She spoke up with a little bit of smile while wiping her eyes, “We will dear. Surely we will.” and hugged Naira.

Naira hugged her back tightly. Like she was afraid to lose her mother for the second time in her life.

At College

After trying to concentrate on class for a while, Naira got out being unable to do so. She wasn’t feeling like going to library also and somehow ended up at the cafe.

There Laya with her friends were gossiping. Seeing Naira, Laya looked behind her expecting Ehan. When she didn’t get to see Ehan around, an evily smirk got flashing in her face as she got uttering, “The bitch is here, girls. Let’s get playing with her."
