CHAPTER 8: CALLIX

THIRD-PERSON

Earlier I was running and was separated from my men because of the hundred number chasing us until a man approached and help me, it was rare for someone to approach a drunk, as just listening to what this guy saying and letting him handle this muscular men’s but when I saw they punched him, I already move to punch them.

I was shocked when he pushed me and saw him with blood, he takes the stab that was supposedly by me and the muscular men’s run after they stabbed the man so I approached him but he lost already his consciousness.

“ Sir!” my men have arrived.

“let’s take him to the hospital, quick!” while we are in the car, this guy is familiar to me.

“ sir was going to handle this one, you can go and rest sir” I ignore the one who talks and thinks where I saw this guy then suddenly I remembered him. This guy is the one who bumped in the church.

Finally, I found him, I got his phone and dialed my number so that I can contact him.

“ pay all his charges,” I said.

TRISHA

I woke up without my husband but I was surprised because my parents are here with Alex.

“ where is callix?” I asked weakly.

“ I sent him home first to take a rest but later on he will come back, “ Alex said.

“ Trisha” mom calls me, I haven’t talked to them for a long time because of the dispute between callix.

“ mom, dad nice to see you” I smiled at them, mom came over and hugged me.

“ why you didn’t tell us about this? We are your parents” I was sad by what my mom said.

“ liza drops it, the most important thing is we already know and we will going to transfer her to our hospital” dad said.

“ dad can I asked my husband first?” I said.

“ no need Trisha, he doesn’t need to know. Looked at your self Trisha you’ve been married 3 years ago but you looked more than 10 years married” I was saddened by what my mom said.

“ mom he needs to know especially that he is my husband” I defended.

“ Why do you always think your useless husband ha! Gosh! Trisha, you are the one who is sick and you are the one who going to be taken care of here. Don’t mind your worthless husband” ever since I got married to callix, my mom insult him always.

“liza!” dad stopped my mom from talking.

“ he will come later so just tell him about what we say” I nodded to what dad said.

“ by the way about your surgery, you’re going to the US with us,” mom said.

“ mom about that, can we talked about callix first “  mommy looked at me with disbelief.

“ callix! Callix! Callix! I’m tired of hearing of that name, Trisha your dying, and still your thinking about that callix! Is he thinking about you? Because if yes! He should be told us about your situation but he did not because he thought more of his pride!” I looked at my mom was very angry.

“ mom you’re making it too far” I looked at Alex.

“ your husband is a coward that’s why we don’t like him” I just signed to what mom said.

“ I am right Alex is better than callix because if he was the one you married you will not experience this. Trisha, you’re having a hard time please think about yourself, we don’t like to lose our only daughter” my mom cried.

“ Sorry mom” dad and mom came over and they hugged me, it’s been 3 years that I never see them and talked to them.

“ We love you” dad whispered which make me cry.

I’ve been waiting for callix and it’s getting late already but callix is still not here, I try to call him but his phone Is out of coverage. I’m worried about him.

“ your husband is still not here, it looks like your husband forgot that he has a sick wife” mom sat annoyed.

“ aunt maybe he just worked,” Alex said, Alex, stay here for a long time and never left.

“ ah yeah maybe he’s at work” I took my phone and call the resto.

“ Hello, this is Mr. Garcia, may I know if my husband is still there?” I asked on the other line but they answered that he’s not there.

“ Okay, thank you” they were looking at me so I shook my head to them that his not there.

“ see? He never cares for you because if he does, he is already here” mom rolled her eye.

“ just rest first Trisha, we’ll wake you up when he arrives “ Alex requested so I just nodded but I couldn’t get rid of my worries about my husband, he never was like this.

I closed my eyes and think about what my mom said lately but what if my mom was right, how come it’s true that I married Alex and not callix. Do I am going to experience this hard In life if I’m with Alex.
