CHAPTER 24: DEMOLITION

Mommy and I have been restless here at home for a while now because we have been waiting for daddy and Alex for a while. I got up when someone blew the horn so I walked closer to the door when it opened daddy came out.

“ Richard what happen?”  it walked and sat as if it had broken down in appearance.

“ our shares in devera company wag gone,” he said sadly.

“ What did happen?” mom asked.

“it’s Alex, he did something against the agreement so callix forfeit our agreement” my mouth fell, why did Alex say?

“ where is Alex now?” annoyed asked of mom.

“ I don’t know,” dad said.

“ There is one more” mom forehead wrinkled.

“ our company is losing money because of Alex, at first I didn’t believe it because callix said but I check company records and it was true” mom was surprised and she sat down.

Someone opened the door and it was Alex so mom came over to him and immediately slapped him.

“ How could you do this!” mom said angrily.

“ don’t worry, ill bring the company back to normal,” he said.

“ how?” mom said.

“  I’m going to sell all my properties to fund the company and get it up” we were silent at what he said.

“ so don’t worry ill take care of it tomorrow to get back the money lost to the company and get it back to normal” after he said that, he walked up and go to our room.

I followed him and left my parents downstairs, I need to ask what happened.

“ Alex” I saw him sitting at the side of the bed.

“ I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to use your company money” he wipes his face.

“ dad got into debt at the casino and owned a lot of money from different people so they form me to pay all those debts until they found us and they threaten me so I don’t have a choice, I don’t want to get you hurt that’s why I borrowed the company money but I swear I’m going to return the money,” he said so I came to him and hugged him.

“ you should still tell me, Alex, I’m your wife so you should tell me what is your problem” he let go of my hug and he looked at me.

“ promise I’m going to return it” I nodded so I hugged him again but suddenly open our door.

“ Alex we have to go to the company” we were surprised because why is dad in such a hurry.

We all go the company but I was nervous because I don’t know what is the problem when we already at the company we bulldozers and people surrounding our company.

“ what are you doing here?” Alex said and a woman came out.

“ lian?” why is she here.

“ Why are you here?” I asked lian.

“ demolition, this property is owned by Mr. Devera” we were stunned by what she said.

“ what? This property is from Mr. Ferrer and we pay already a year of rent to him” dad said.

“ We were just ordered if you won’t talk to Mr. Devera,” lian said.

“ all right, start now!” lian shout and people already walked.

“ wait, I want to talk to Mr. Devera,” I said. This company works hard for my parents then suddenly it will just destroy in an instant.

“ Please give me 10 minutes to talk to Mr. Devera” I approached lian and begged. She took her phone and call callix.

“ here talk to him, 10 minutes only” I nodded so I grab the phone.

Me: callix

Callix: why?

Me: please not our company, you already get the shares but please not this company.

Callix: it’s your fault why you lost your shares.

Me: okay it’s our fault but people, not our company. I’m waiting for him to answer but I saw someone came out of the car and it’s callix.

“ callix please”  came to him but it seems he doesn’t care.

“ callix not the company,” Alex said.

“ callix take everything but not our company please” dad begged but his just looking at us.

“ When I begged did you listen?” my eyes widened, the day that he knelt.

“ you just looking at me as if I’m not a part of the family and what’s even more painful is that I’m on my knees for your daughter but what do you do huh?” he said reproachfully.

“ callix if you want us to kneel to you, okay we’re going to kneel but please not our company” I begged.

“ no never! Why we are kneeling to that worthless!” mom said in no brakes but we warned her already that she will not be going to say that again.

“ liza”

“ mom” she just looked at us and rolled her eyes.

“ worthless? “ callix smiled.

“ you want me to see how can I be worthless?” he walked over and took a stone and throw it at one company mirror.

“ all of you! Get a stone and threw it on that company mirror, break all mirror that you see!” callix said and people get a stone and threw it.

I just covered my mouth as I saw the glass shatter, I could stop crying. Why is this happening to us, is this how we are before?

“ please that’s enough! Callix enough!” I shouted but they didn’t hear anything and they continue throwing stones until there’s no mirror glass were gone. I saw mom and dad crying so I took a rock and throw it to call it but I wasn’t satisfied yet so I threw him a lot of stones until the last one in my hand.

“ Sir!”

“ callix!” they shouted when I saw that there was only one stone I looked at him but I do what I saw.
