Still, Lucas’s POV

“NO! I will not go back to Czech! ” I disagree with what Grandpa said. Did they just decide for me?

They found out what happened earlier so they were so alarmed, especially Mommy.

"Don't be so stubborn, Lucas!" Daddy's second, I know it's holding back as well. “Look what have you done? Many innocent lives have been affected because of your negligence! ”

I was dumbfounded by what Daddy said. I felt ashamed for being irresponsible. That’s right, that wouldn’t have happened if I had just listened.

"So, James .. please, is there really no other way?" it was ‘Mom, looking worried and terrible.

"It would be better for them to know that the appointed Prince is in the Czech Republic again before his birthday." Daddy replied. "It's definitely going to be a big mess."

later Daddy confronted me.

“You don't want anyone to get involved, do you? Especially that woman. Then be brave enough to face your personality. We cannot hide here for the rest of our lives. Because as long as you are alive, they will not stop us. ”

they want to take me back to Czech before my birthday .. Face those old people and embrace my being a monster ?!

“What do you not understand I want,‘ Dad? ” giit ko. “I don’t want to be like them. I don't want to be like Lolo! I don't want to take an innocent life! ”

“Then don’t do the same. You can break it, Grandson, once you become the ruler. Your voice will be the law. ”

We all looked at Grandpa. Does it seem that easy to do? The elders hold the allegiance of the entire CANIS. they are the Betas, the second to Grandpa .. and everything they order will be obeyed by our descendants especially since they consider us traitors.

"And by that .. you can keep that woman out of the Betas’ way .. particularly Elder Hammad. " my Grandfather added meaningfully, emphasizing the word ‘WOMAN’.

I shrugged as I leaned back on the couch and closed my eyes. Surprisingly Daddy even more agreed with Grandpa’s decision. i sighed in disbelief, i no longer knew what to do.

"Noah ..." was Grandpa's voice.

"Command me your Highness."

“See to it that there will be no more threats upon the leaving of Crown Prince. ”

"I will."

Another surprise was that Mommy and Daddy didn't even investigate Noah. and based on how they deal with it, they no doubt know it.

SITTING at the edge of a rocky gorge, I was idiot looking at the downtown of Sta. Monica. I decided to go outside for some fresh air. What happened a while ago was all my fault and no one could be blame of but me. because of me many innocent lives have been touched, and to this day my conscience troubles me.

Daddy’s right, the adults won’t stop me until they get what they want.

“I have told you, forget about that woman. you will only ruin him. ” I was surprised by Ate's sudden appearance. It sat next to me.

“I don't think my ability is working anymore. I didn't even know you were coming. ” I jokingly replied to Ate instead of noticing what she said.

"Your ass." she hissed. "Don't me, baby brother."

i chuckled.

Then a long of silence intervened us afterwards.

“What do you think, Lorraine? Are they right? ” later I asked.

Lorraine breathed, plastering a smile on her face.

“Uhm, maybe Daddy is right. maybe it’s about time you face them .. let’s go. ” she leaned on my shoulder, tapping my back. "You can't run your destiny."

“But I will miss her ..” I said, almost whispering.

“Forget here. She can’t be your mate. ”

"Yeah .." I smiled sadly. maxine is human .. but my heart is wishing her to be my Luna.

Maxine’s POV

I was so nervous as the police pulled out the bodies one by one. It seemed like a while ago the fun, then in a flash it was replaced by crying and grief. every cry of the parents who have died is heartbreaking and horrifying.

"That's enough, Maxine." Meghan waved at me after I looked at the final body bit by bit of the cops, we both ran out with Hevo.

“Not s-he. she's not Meghan .. ”I laughed even though I was about to cry.

Somehow I breathed a sigh of relief. I didn’t see Luke’s body. There is a possibility that it survived. But why hasn’t it come out yet?

"But why? Why hasn't he come out yet ..? ”

“Enough, Maxine. come on, I'll take you home. ” Hevo, who was beside me and supporting me, said.

“No. I still have to wait for Lucas. ” I refused and immediately went inside but Hevo stopped me immediately. “Please Hevo I need to see him. Maybe that's how he is. I have to find him ..! ”

but instead of letting go of Hevo he pulled me and hugged me tightly. Then my knees gave up .. the emotion I had been suppressing completely disappeared.

THREE days passed, but the students' ordeal seemed fresh to me. coming back to my mind and repeatedly dreaming that ‘night’, it seemed to be a nightmare. Scary. I haven't slept for a few days, I can't talk properly, idiot .. then after a while I suddenly start crying.

It also became a big rumor throughout Sta. monica, seems to have caused fear and apprehension in people.

And to this day I still have no news of Luke.

"I'm in now." I say goodbye to Mom. I kissed here.

"Can you do it, Son?" Mom asked worriedly.

"I'll try." my sluggish response.

“Gano’n ba. be careful, Son, huh. You know here with us today, it's very dangerous. Especially now."

"I understand."

"Osya is fine." then Mom kissed me. "Miss Beatriz will be released from the hospital, so I have to go shopping to cook well."

"All right ..."

It's good that Beatriz can come out. He also survived that night except for a few wounds and bruises.

From what I had done before, I walked to the boat. There are no more passing tricycles so I have to wait in the waiting shed. the sky is overcast and the weather is threatening. Funny, it seemed to accompany the grief of my heart.

Even before I reached the waiting shed it started to mist. I ran for shelter. Then the rain came down. I took the handkerchief out of the bag to wipe a few drops of water on my face when suddenly you were blown away by the wind, I followed it in a panic but I did not reach. It was too late to realize I was wet, the heavy downpour disappeared from my mind. I secretly smiled in stupidity. It was as if that scene had been repeated that day. In the waiting shed, while it was raining and waiting for the tricycle .. where I met him.

Etoh na naman ako. I've been like this for three days since that night.

"Where have you been ..!?" I didn’t notice the sobbing while shouting ‘that’ in the middle of the rain. “Isn't there another week ?! Why aren't you feeling better ?! ”

I slowly sat down on the concrete road and buried my face in my palms. If I only knew it was going to happen I should have been brave. I could have said how I really feel.

"Why are you making it rain?"

I sobbed even more. It's like I'm crazy .. what I'm hearing.

"Slave .."

I was stunned for a moment and looked up.

Slave?

I turned my back violently.

"L-Lucas?" I can't believe what I see. I immediately stood up. My tears were racing, they seemed to be alive. Luckily it was raining so I don’t know if Luke noticed.

"I picked you up at your house .. but you left ---."

out of curiosity I rushed to hug Lucas. I know it surprised me at what I did but I didn’t care. I wanted to hug her and cry on her chest.
