Chapter 29 (A)

Author’s POV

BECAUSE of the noise of the three, the librarian let them out.

"It's you ...," Maxine scolded her friend. "If you keep your mouth shut, we won't be kicked out."

“What am I, eh, it's Hevo you blame. My voice is just weak. ” Meghan's defense as well.

"Is that true before?" but Hevo asked Maxine instead of noticing the blame of the two. "Please Maxine, just yes or no."

"Ahm,ahh .."

"You heard right Hevo." Meghan answered afterwards. Maxine even kicked it but she didn't want to let it go. “Maxine owes money to Lucas so she has to work for it. And that job includes avoiding you. ”

"To me?" the young man asked. "But why?"

"Dehins I know." Meghan shrugged.

“That’s enough Meghan. Maybe that’s what you can say. ” Maxine scolded Meghan for even glaring at her.

"Ah, so your name is Meghan?" then Hevo asked. The two looked at him.

"Why?" - Meghan.

“Nothing. I just want to thank you for your talk earlier .. ”

Meghan smiled when she understood what Hevo meant.

MEANWHILE, on the rooftop of an abandoned building, Lucas is quietly waiting. Using the digital camera he took that night, he searched for the hired students named Henry Arizala. maybe at these times they are already chasing.

Soon what the young man was waiting for arrived. Holding five students, they let go of the other two students, who fell on the concrete floor.

"There you are stupid!"

"What do you want?" asked one of the two, the one named Henry, banging the left side of its lip. "W-wait, you're ..."

."Boy, what do you want us to do with these two." asked one of the five students Luke hired, he was muscular though not very tall.

"Make it hard for you." Luke's answer was unequivocal.

according to the young man, five students helped the two; they hit, kicked, and grabbed the pipe. The two kept moaning when they begged but Lucas seemed to have no intention of stopping the five students. its cold eyes were biting into the bloody faces of the two, without a trace of pity or any emotion. When he seemed satisfied with what he saw, Luke motioned to the five students.

"I-I'm sorry .. We were just instructed." again moaned a man named Henry.

"What did you say?" knit when Luke asked.

"Beatriz Alfonzo, she ordered the destruction of that woman." a companion named Henry answered.

Tightening his jaws Luke stood up and stepped closer to the two.

"Starting tomorrow, I don't want to see your faces again at this school." the young man's calm line despite the hatred contained in its eyes. It surpassed the two afterwards. From the rooftop it continued to descend and exit the abandoned building.

large steps Lucas took the ground to the SAS building where on the third floor is located the library. The young man was full of worries, he seemed to be more worried about what he had found out. he knew that Beatriz didn't like Maxine based on her dealings with him, but he couldn't quite imagine that she could do such a thing. What is its motive?

Lucas went straight into the building but just in the hallway he saw Maxine coming down. the former temper has not completely subsided because those two students before seemed to increase it again when they saw Maxine's companion.

Maxine’s POV

I could NOT continue the step I had taken when I saw Lucas in the hallway. What is it doing here? Is it out of business? nervously I turned to Hevo and Meghan before running down to Lucas.

"Y-you need something?"

"I wanna eat." its language looks serious.

God, I just need to eat what I need to know. Do I carry the canteen?

"Can we come?" that's Hevo. Meghan and I have already gone down. "That's right, Meghan is hungry too."

I secretly swallowed and looked at the two. I warned Meghan by looking ---.

"Y-yeah .." to my frustration he rode to Hevo. "Can we come?"

"But aren't you going to do something else?" I even tried to glare at Meghan but it looks like it will compete with Hevo's art.

"Gone. Didn't I tell you? ”

“No. And nothing ---. ”

"No problem."

I looked at Lucas in shock, and at the same time breathed a sigh of relief. I thought it would make me angry again.

sA a restaurant not far from the University we chose to go.

Meghan and I were eating quietly. the two seemed to be statues, speechless, and measuring their gaze. Did I think they were hungry?

"I understand why Maxine has to work with you .. but I don't think setting her back to whom she should to see and be with is reasonable." Suddenly Hevo said that Meghan and I both stopped, we exchanged glances and then looked at the two.

“You’re not my friend. and so I don’t give you the right to lecture me. ”

We were finally stopped because of the seeming tension building between Lucas and Hevo. I think there will be more fights.

"My only point is don't ban him," Hevo insisted. "I don't know what's going on, but maybe it's not right for you to interfere in his personal life."

Luke smiled mischievously because of that and hugged afterwards. The way he looked at Hevo, he could see his displeasure in the end.

"Why do you seem concerned ...?"

they seem to have no intention of letting go of each other.

“You are also a man. Maybe you understand why .. ”Hevo replied. “Maxine is important to me. Eh, you, what do you think of him? ”

My chest heaved at Hevo's question. I was also intrigued by Luke's answer as if a part of my heart was anxious to hear that.

"She's my slave."

Lucas and I did NOT urinate back at the University. I don't know, but I lost my appetite.

"I'll be the first ..." I said sluggishly and got off the motor.

Lucas and I headed back while the two of you stayed at the restaurant.

“What’s the matter?” Luke asked, touching my forehead.

"I'm fine ..." I wiped his hand.

Tsk, how can I say I'm upset because of that answer he gave earlier? funny but that's not what I want to hear.

“No, you are not. You have been silent before. ”

I took a deep breath and grabbed hold of the sling of my bag. I have no right to demand, I am just a slave.

"What did you do before?" avoidance that's just my question.

"I didn't go in." its casual response that just seemed normal.

"What?" buga ko. “You've just been absent? Don't you really value your money? ”

"I have a lot of that."

Really arrogant.

"Hays, really saltik." I couldn't believe my drone and came back here. "Look at your COR."

I turned Luke around to open his bag. And as usual, there is no more knowledge about that.

"I've only been here for two weeks ..." then Lucas said and I stopped. I stared at the back of it. "The contract will end ... when that happens, everything will return to normal."

It seems that the weight I felt earlier was added to what he said. It's weird but I feel like I'm crying. That means I will never see him again. But why is he leaving? the contract can be terminated if he does not stop studying.

Luke appeared. It suddenly smiled but it seemed like something was wrong.

"I want to stay by your side but I can't ...," he added in a gentle voice. “You still don't know much about me. and I’d rather leave it that way than find out the truth. ”

I did not understand what he said. All I know is I won’t see him again after two weeks.

“Eh,‘ tis not good. and at least I don't have to worry about anything. ” I forced myself to raise my voice, convincing myself that it was okay. "You're such a hassle."

Luke smiled again. "Why are your eyes red ...?"

"Tsk, don't be feeling ..." I sniffed. I decided to turn around and step away.

"Wait, I thought you wanted to know what I was busy with before ..." I heard Lucas say after a while, he followed me.

I glared at him.

"Nevermind. You might get mad." at once recovered it and proceeded to walk.

I should be happy, because I finally owed him nothing after two weeks. I will also be able to greet Hevo when he is kind. But no, the opposite is how I feel.
