Chapter 10

Lucas’s POV

I FELL down on my bed, staring up the ceiling of my room. I just came back from where I accompanied HER yesterday, and I felt a little bit upset that I couldn’t understand why when I didn’t get there anymore. Jez, what is wrong with me? I don’t have to see him anymore, because I know nothing will make it ‘good’.

But damn, I started to get this feeling that makes me want to see HER face again.

I heaved a sigh.

This can’t be. I was just comforted by him. That's right.

i sat up, shaking my head as i heard Lourine’s voice outside my room.

"Baby brother are you in?"

I got up and headed for the door.

"What do you want?" I asked Ate when I opened it.

And as usual, a smile plastered on her face as she always does everytime she has a favor to ask.

"Accompany me. I want to go shopping. ”

I knew it.

"Again?" I asked sarcastically. "You can't even wear your other clothes. Will you buy again? Do you plan to make your room flat? ”

Why are women so artistic? I do not understand.

“Come on, baby brother. I want to have fun. Besides, I'm bored too. I wanna see new faces. The faces in this house are disgusting. ”

"I'm not in the mood."

Ate's expression suddenly became sad as she was obviously just acting.

"Pretty please .."

Here we go again. I can no longer refuse every time Ate does that.

I opened the door.

"I'm just showering ..." I uttered and turned my back away from her.

Ate is right. We sometimes need to come out of our comfort zone without being moldy.

"Thanks!"

even with my back turned, I knew its smile was within earshot.

“HOW do I look with this?” Lourine asked while holding something. We are currently in a boutique inside a mall.

"Double." I commented while busy doing. I was sitting on the couch, playing candy crash saga.

"How about this?" I heard her asked again.

"It's fine."

I am about to complete your level when ..

“Arghh! Lourine, what’s wrong with you? ” I snarled at her. She grabbed my phone.

"You're not looking."

I crossed my arms and made a face at her. “How come, I've been so bored before, eh. You've been measuring for almost an hour. Why don't you just buy this whole boutique? ”

His shopping time is terrible.

“You don't understand us. That’s how we women are. ” its explanation. I even heard the sales ladies laugh behind it.

“Your boyfriend is handsome, Ma’am. It's still hot. ”

"Yeah, it's annoying, right baby?" on board Ate.

Ate is only a year older than me so maybe we are always mistaken.

I stood up and moved slightly closer to Ate.

"Hurry up before I make food for the one behind you." I whispered to him who laughed at it.

I better wait her outside.

"I dare you .." he still laughed after it.

Shake that I continued, because Ate knew I could not do that.

Author’s POV

aS usual, Maxine wore a black cotton v-neck t-shirt and jeans. In front of the mirror, the girl put a little powder on her face and applied a little lipstick. He also said goodbye to his Mother about it and she agreed.

Maxine’s Mother is not strict when it comes to such things. In fact, this is what drives the girl to have a boyfriend because she is at the right age.

"We're leaving‘ Mom. " Maxine said goodbye and kissed Mother when the messenger arrived. he immediately left the room, followed by his Mother.

"Good evening to Tita ..!" Hevo politely greeted Maxine's Mother, accompanying her all the way to the outside of the gate.

The Lady nodded and smiled. “Be careful, hah. Go home early. ”

"Yes!"

Maxine’s POV

Hevo's car stopped at an expensive restaurant. It immediately got off and turned the car around to open the door for me.

"Shall we eat there?" I'm sure. My God, what I'm wearing doesn't fit in that place.

"Uh-huh!"

"S-are you sure?" ulit ko.

“Yeah. Something wrong? ” its question with astonishment.

Really something is wrong! Doesn't he see?

"Uhm .. just don't let us continue."

“Come on, Maxine. Stop worrying about your clothes okay? The people inside can't kill what you're wearing, eh. ” laughing it convinced me that I had probably read what I was thinking.

"B-but wait a minute!"

I did nothing, he pulled me inside the restaurant.

“MAY I take your order Ma’am, Sir?” the waiter asked.

I didn’t understand anything on the menu, and I almost dropped my jaw on the price of the food. Eh, Mom and I have another month's salary, jusmeyo!

"Uhm, baked chicken with mushroom please, and ice tea." I heard Hevo speak.

"How about you, Ma'am?" the waiter turned to me.

I was swallowed. "Don't you have a lump?"

The waiter sneezed as if holding back a laugh. Besides, I heard the one at the other table laughing.

What’s so funny about that?

"It's the same with him." Hevo groaned.

“Two baked chicken with mushroom and two ice tea. Coming, Sir. ” again the waiter. It smiled and turned away.

"Is there anything funny I said?" I turned to Hevo when the waiter left.

“Nothing. Don’t mind him. ” anitong ngumiti.

Nothing seems. Why does he look like that?

Silence.

"Uhm Maxine ..." Hevo cracked.

"Hemmmm?"

"I'm sure .. it's not a secret that I like you."

My face.

Suddenly my throat became blocked.

"Funny, but it seemed to be love at first sight .."

I can't say a word. I was surprised. I don’t know how to react. so, is Meghan’s suspicion true? I'm so numb.

"Is it okay if I flirt with you?"

I don't know but I was suddenly born to Hevo.

"K-kasi H-hevo .. uhm ---."

I could not continue to say because of the rattle of the spoon on the other table. Fell perhaps.

“You are too engot if you believe. Please be a little narrow. ” said the man on the other side, though it was only weak. It's turned away from Hevo so I can't see his face --- he also has a date.

Seriously, is that how he talks to his date? ⁇

"Maxine ..." Hevo whispered. it was only then that I turned my attention back to him.

"Sorry .." I apologized. I turned my attention to the other table. "Okay ..."

"Do you agree?" Hevo asked with a hint of excitement.

My mouth dropped open as I looked at Hevo. Did I agree?

I was so embarrassed I scratched my head. because my brain is flying.

"S-okay." embarrassed I replied. It's too late for me to take it back.

“Seriously, right away? Can't we think first? ” I heard the man's language again. Hevo and I looked at each other.

"Just a minute huh." knit when I caught sight of Hevo's erection.

Lucas’s POV

“WHY aren’t you eating? Don’t you like the food? ” Lourine asked. We’re having a dinner at Orbetos, one of the classy restaurants of St. Monica.

I shook. Actually, I was like this this morning. "I'm just thinking."

“May I take your order Ma’am, Sir?” I heard the waiter ask at the other table.

"Uhm, baked chicken with mushroom, and ice tea." the guy answered.

“How about you, Ma’am?”

"Don't you have a lump?"

I couldn’t help but laugh at what I heard. didn't he read the menu?

"Baby brother?" Lourine asked, her eyes were asking too.

I ignored Ate.

"It's the same with him." I heard the man groan.

“Two baked chicken with mushroom and two ice tea. Coming, Sir. ”

"Is there anything funny I said?"

Still really asked.

“Nothing. Don’t mind him. ”

Suddenly the two fell silent.

"Uhm Maxine ..." I heard the man crack.

I frowned when I heard that name. Jez, I guess I'm suddenly nervous.

"Hemmmm?"

Now I know why the woman's voice is so familiar. I was settled in my seat.

"I'm sure .. it's not a secret that I like you." the guy uttered.

"Damn!" I cursed. Seemed my heart dropped into my stomach when I heard those words.

“What’s wrong?” Lourine asked again.

"Nothing." tanngi ko. I also don’t understand myself.

“Funny, but it seemed to be love at first sight ..” the guy added.

Takti, my nervousness is getting stronger. I can't be bothered.

"Is it okay if I flirt with you?"

Biting the lower lip tightened my grip on the spoon.

"K-kasi H-hevo .. uhm ---."

I let go of the spoon holding cause to make that noise.

“You are too engot if you believe. Please be a little narrow. ” I mumbled.

I must be sicked.

"Maxine ..." the man whispered.

“Sorry. Okay .. ”

"Do you agree?"

I felt annoyed at what I heard. He didn't even narrow down ?!

“Seriously, right away? Can't we think first? ”

Damn, I’m pissed off.

"Excuse me .."

I lifted my face. And in front of me stood a man I was about my age.

"Yes?" I managed to ask.

"Are you kidding?"

"So?" I asked sarcastically.

he gritted, grabbing my collar. I got up.

"Lucas?"

I turned to that voice. Maxine's face was full of surprise as she looked at me ..

It looks like this morning I still want to see.

"I saw you again ..." she smiled at me.

"Do you know this?" the man asked Maxine while still holding my collar.

I wiped the man's hand. And the look I shot at Maxine was sharp .. I didn't even bother to return her smile.

“Let’s get out of here Lourine. i wanna go home. ” my tone was cold as I turned to Ate and preceded, then it followed.

"W-wait a minute ..." I heard Maxine call. I didn't look at him. I hate him.
