Chapter 92: Chapter 92

"Are my babies behaving while Mommy is away?" I asked my children softly as we sat in the kitchen—preparing food.

I'm sitting between the twins. Gio was on my left while Gia was on my right. They both know how to eat on their own, so I don't have too many problems when it comes to feeding.

"Opo," they answered together in Tagalog slang. (Yes)

I was stunned for a few seconds when they spoke Tagalog. Ever since the twins grew up and learned to talk, I never heard them like that. Even though I occasionally speak to them in Tagalog, their English is perfect for me. That's why I couldn't help but be surprised, adding that I suddenly remembered someone.

I tried to smile at my children and then looked at my family who were watching with a smile. It seems that they have heard the two speak Tagalog because they are no longer shocked by it. I just shook my head and dismissed the memory that entered my mind.

It is also good for them to learn to communicate with other children.

We started eating. The twins kept talking to me—recounting their experiences on the plane until they arrived here at home. I can't help but feel a little regret that I wasn't by their side on their first flight. I had to finish the sudden project that was sent to me that's why they were the first to go home. Even if I want to move everyone's flight schedule, I might have a hard time getting a new flight on the day I want. Especially and I'm also chasing a timeframe with Daddy's company.

"When do you plan to go back to the company, Khrystal?" Mommy was curious.

I wiped my lips for a moment then looked at her to answer. "I can go in tomorrow," I replied.

Their expressions were equally shocked.

"Are you sure? You can rest for a few days." Daddy while looking at me sincerely.

I smiled at him to assure him that it's fine. "I'll work on with the company first. I know that many projects need to be checked immediately to be approved. Once I'm done with those, I can spend time with the kids properly," I reasoned out.

Daddy just let out a sigh and looked at the children who were eating happily. I know what he's thinking. He just wants me to spend time with my kids because I barely do that when I'm in America. I also didn't want to miss time with my children but I had to work for them. I did not receive any support from Daddy. My own money that I earned from working was what we spent on a daily basis.

I don't know if what happened to me can be called luck. I also did not think that in my short time in another country I would be able to make my own name. Here in the Philippines when someone hears my name it will always be like; Khrystal—Mr. Dagsinal's illegitimate daughter. But it's different in America. I was known as Khrystal—one of the best architects. I handled many projects from well-known entrepreneurs. I hardly had any free time so in the end it was my time with the kids that was sacrificed. I know the twins understand me, but I also feel their sadness when they can't be with me. That's why when I came back here to the Philippines, I decided to divide my time properly. I will first understand the problems of the company so that I can focus on the children without thinking about anything else. I will get back to them.

"Khrystal," Mommy called my attention.

I just looked at her and waited for her to continue.

"You are aware, right?" she hesitated, then looked at the children for a moment.

Even though she didn't say the full details, I understood what she wanted to say. I raised my lips and nodded. Even before we went home, Daddy told me.

"Can you... meet him?" Mommy asked, there was an evident concern in her tone.

I couldn't stop myself from chuckling. "It's fine, Mommy. I can handle. It's all in the past now," I answered.

She didn't immediately react to my answer. Instead, Daddy made a fake cough to get my attention. There was caution in his actions.

"You'll be meeting him tomorrow. We have a scheduled discussion about the expansion of the hotel. If you can still remember that last project you handled years ago."

I was stunned for a moment by what Daddy said. I was caught off guard. I couldn't hide it that's why Daddy looked at me worried.

"If you want to start one day so you can rest. I will deal with him first," Dad said.

I quickly shook my head and cleared my throat. I didn't mean to get shocked earlier. I expect that even before I go home, our paths will cross. I just didn't expect that right away.

"It's okay, Dad. I'll talk to Mr. Revelar," I directly said his business alias.

It's been five years already. I don't know why he stayed in her partnership with Daddy after what happened. At first, I thought he was trying to target my sister since I was already out of his options, but he didn't even get near her. Then I came to realize that maybe he chose to be professional when it comes to business, same as Dad.

"Will it be okay?" Daddy asked and looked at the twins again.

I couldn't avoid looking at them too. They are still eating. No one cares about the surroundings and only focuses on the food. I couldn't help but smile because they were so different from the children I saw. They are often matured, sometimes acting according to their age.

I heaved a deep breath and looked back at my father. "I have no plans to hide them from him. Although I have no plans to say that on purpose." I shrugged and continued eating.

Revelar is my twins' father.

A month after I arrived in America, I found out that I was pregnant. I didn't know what to do then, I was confused. I just cried silently and tried to think straight. I planned to inform him of about my pregnancy but when I saw his happy family, I turned back.

I came to realize that even if he found out I was pregnant, nothing would change.
