Chapter 13: Chapter 13

"It's just so unfair," Azy murmured behind my back as the stylist straightened my hair.

I looked at him and raised an eyebrow from the reflection of the mirror.

"When we're stressed, our faces look ugly. But if it is as beautiful as you, just with a smear of foundation, boom! You are a goddess again," he stated.

I just rolled my eyes and ignored him. This will be one of those days where he will just notice and criticize my every action.

"Are you okay?" he inquired, there was concern and seriousness in his tone as he stared at me from the mirror.

I forced a smile. Am I okay?

"Yeah," I sparingly answered.

It's been two weeks since that argument.

He didn't seem to believe it, but he never tried to ask for more.

"Ahmm. Will he...pick you up?" he asked afterward.

I didn't speak for a second. I have been like just a wind to Valjerome for almost two weeks Valjerome. He no longer picks me up or comes with me every time I have a photo shoot like he did before. Even at home, I could feel him avoiding me.

I simply sighed and forced a smile. "He's busy. He's taking care of something at the company," I answered.

It was half meant actually. He's really busy, but with his girls.

My manager just nodded and didn't say another word. Only the movements of my stylists could be heard inside the dressing room. Even though he didn’t tell me I knew he had also noticed something different in me recently.

"Azy?" I called his attention.

He looked at me and waited for my continuation. I averted my eyes for a moment and bit my lower lip.

"Si Chaos..." I started. "Did he call or message you?" I added.

Her eyes widened and her lips parted after I said that. I'm not surprised anymore because it's really unusual that I'm talking about that man.

"No," Azy replied recovering from the shock.

"Did he...leave a calling card or something I could use to call him?" I hesitated to ask.

Azy raised his left brow and crossed his arms. "Jazzie, seriously what's your plan?"

I bit my lip and lowered my head. I played with my fingers and then looked up again at the reflection of the mirror.

"I want to do a shoot with him again."

This time Azy's jaw literally dropped.

"Make an appointment," I said without any emotion then stood up.

I started walking until I stopped by the door. I glanced at my manager and forced a smile.

"Even if it's free I'll do it as long as we shoot together¾us alone." I said and turned my back against them.

If this the only way I can get my husband’s attention back again, I will desperately work with that person.

JUST like my normal photo shoot, I do every pose the photographer wants. Even though I was not in the mood, I kept my professionalism at work. After all, modelling is one of my breathing space. I also don’t know why but I really love modelling, maybe because I can see my worth as a lady. In every beautiful photo I pose in, in every ramp I walked on, I feel the admiration of some towards me. Something I don’t get from my husband.

"Jazzie," Azy greeted me once the shoot was over.

I raised an eyebrow at him as he accompanied me walking into the dressing room.

"I called Mr. Hevion," I heard him speak.

I stopped as I was about to sit on the swivel chair and turned to him.

Azy let out a deep breath. "He's asking you to come at his company. You have a shoot today as well," he informed.

I blinked a few times. I knew I asked for this, but I didn't expect it will be this soon. I cleared my throat for a moment when I recovered from the shock then proceed to sit.

"Don't remove my make-up. What I need is a retouch," I ordered my make-up artist.

Azy was not too far from me so I heard him sighed again. I looked at him on mirror and gave him a raw smile.

"Tell him," I said.

Tell my husband that I am meeting up with somebody else.

"Jazzie, are you really sure about this?" Azy worriedly asked.

"Don't worry about me, Azy. I can handle it," I said.

I just want his attention.

Will I...even get it back again?

IT was around 2 p.m. when I arrived at Chaos' company with my manager and the glam team. His staff greeted us immediately and attended our needs. Though I should be looking for my partner, I wandered around to see if he came up. That's how my shoulder dropped when Chaos and I started our photo shoot but I still didn't see Valjerome's presence.

"Did you two break up?" my partner simply whispered.

I didn’t answer him and just did the poses needed for the shoot.

"I wonder why you asked for this," Chaos spoke again as I felt his hand caressing my waist.

I looked at him badly. "Stop," I warned.

He just smirked then licked his lower lip. "You're just using me to make him jealous, aren't you?"

I was caught off guard. Is that really obvious?

He chuckled and moved his face closer to me. The camera shutter beeped repeatedly as that happens.

"But...will he even get jealous?" he murmured. "Does he even love you?" he added.

I gritted my teeth despite the throbbing pain in my chest.

"I will use you for me to know the answer," I said emotionless and pulled his nape.

I could hear everyone held their breaths as soon as my lips touched my partner’s mouth.

Valjerome... I mentally whispered and shut my eyes as Chaos started to kiss me back.

I was waiting for Valjerome to pull me out of nowhere. I was waiting for a loud voice to echo all over the room. But...that didn't happen. My husband didn't show up.

So...it was really for a show back then?

"Never cry for a wrong guy," Chaos murmured as I felt his finger on my cheek.

It was only then I realized that I was crying. I slowly opened my eyes and looked directly at his serious face. I struggled to give him a smile despite of how heavy I was feeling.

"He's the right one for—" I couldn't finish what I was about to say when I suddenly felt dizzy.

Chaos quickly wrapped his hands around me to prevent me from falling.

"Jazzie!" I heard Azy shout along with his footsteps.

"Are you okay?" Chaos asked. "Bring the medic!" he shouted after.

"My gosh! Jazzie, are you okay? I told you not to strain yourself," my manager spoke as I felt him fanned me with his hands.

Despite of my condition, my lips twisted because of what he said.

He said nothing!

I closed my eyes for a moment then looked up again. I also straightened up and slowly pulled myself away from Chaos.

"I'm okay. It just because of the heat, I guess," I said.

"Oh God! I'll cancel your appointment tomorrow, you need to rest," Azy said as he continued to fan me with his hand.

I sparingly smiled at him. "I'm okay," I assured.

"Are you pregnant?"

I paused the moment I heard Chaos’ question. Even Azy stopped moving. I slowly turned my attention to Chaos.

"W-what?" I blinked twice as I stared at his stern face.

"Are you pregnant?" he repeated.

I knew I had to answer him no but that’s when I realized and remembered my situation as a woman.

I haven't had my period this month yet.

I swallowed the lump in my throat and composed myself. "I-I am not…" I answered. "Sure about that," I continued with my low pitch voice and bit my lower lip.

"You should go home and take a rest. Make an appointment to any OB," he said.

I was out of myself as I nodded to the thought that there’s a little angel forming in my womb.

Can this bring us back together?

SILENCE remained while I was riding in the car. I noticed Jaime, Valjerome’s driver, taking a glimpse at me as he drives. Maybe he was also wondering about my actions.

"Can we...go to the pharmacy?" I asked awkwardly.

He glanced briefly in the rear view mirror and nodded in response.

I bit my lower lip and looked outside the window as I held my belly.

Are you there?

After buying what I needed I went back to the car again. I could feel Jaime's staring at the paper bag I was carrying but he didn't bother to ask.

Finally we have reached home. I immediately got out of the car and went inside. I was so shocked when I saw Valjerome in the living room, sitting and facing directly to my direction.

Nothing yet happens but my heartbeat started racing. "Y-you're here," I said.

"Are you sick?" he seriously asked.

I don’t know but I want to cry at this moment. I felt so emotional that him, simply asking about my condition made me feel overwhelmed.

"I'm fine," I replied.

"You stopped by the pharmacy?" he said.

I bit my lower lip and nodded.

"What did you do there?" he inquired again.

I gripped the paper bag I was carrying firmly and gently focused my gaze on him.

"I-I think ... I'm pregnant."
