“Alright baby… thank you!” I say as I release Alison’s hand from me. She’s running to the living room, laughing, and watches her favorite cartoon. “Jesus Christ Rosa! Your kid is so fucking clever!” I whisper as I slide to the dining seat. “Gosh, she’s catching us making out at the bedroom!” I exclaim in whispers. “W…what, making out?” Rosa asks as she preparing the food. “No, it just hugging and admiring each other’s figure” I laugh softly.

“You know… I haven’t dated any man since Ali understands everything” Rosa chuckles. “She even told her dad everything! I’ve dated a man months ago, he was my college friend. But you know… Ali told her dad everything she saw… she told him that mom had a friend who sleepover in her room” Rosa explains. Lena and I laugh because of her humorous story, my face is about to drop off from its place.

“Are you fucking kidding me?” I laugh, tears are about to come out of my eyes. “Yeah…” Rosa exhales. “Kids nowadays are different from us, they understood things quickly” Lena says. I remove my gaze from Rosa and stare at Lena. “Why you suddenly turn like a children's specialist babe?” I say, raising my eyebrow. Lena laughs softly as she looking at me. “I read a lot of books” She says briefly.

“Well, I thought you guys will have one soon” Rosa chuckles. Lena’s mouth opens into a small form as she wants to tell something but I didn’t give her space to talk. “A…a, no! No way!” I shook my head. “Both of you probably have to freeze the egg, just in case if oneday you guys want a baby, I mean your own… and find the donor after” Rosa give us advice. “That’s…” I raise my eyebrow. “What do you think babe?” I ask Lena who sits next to me.

“I don’t mind… that’s brilliant” Lena says. “Do it immediately guys… the success rate is kind of hard when you’re in your 30s” Rosa says. “Well… we’ll do soon” Lena says, she grabs my hand, rubbing her knuckles over my thumbs. I have no idea why Lena thrilled with this, does she wants kids with me oneday or she just messing around with us. “Alright all done!” Rosa says, sliding to the dinner seat. “Where’s Ali?” I ask.

“She probably plays in her room as usual” Rosa states. “Should I bring her here? So we can start the dinner soon?” I ask. Rosa laughs softly “No, she’ll messing us after… and she had her dinner already” She says. “Mmm… right” I say, grabbing the spoon on the table. Rosa cook for us, we had western food for dinner tonight. We eat our food and talk about the past that we’re had in here, drinks wine and cheers.

Everything is still in my brain, it locked inside the deepest place and never gone. Or I maybe forgot where the key is, because I didn’t lose any moment from my head, it’s always etched in my memory and it still there even though when my soul is leaving my body. “It’s good to see both of you” Rosa says as she chews the food. “It’s always good to see you” Lena replies with a sweet smile on her face.

“So what did you guys do for now?” Rosa asks. I suddenly choked with my own fucking food and the food stuck inside my throat. “Huk… huk…” I drink the water quickly, letting the water crash the food. “Are you okay?” Rosa asks and she gives me a napkin. “Thanks… I’m good” I say as I wipe my mouth. “Well, so?” Rosa raises an eyebrow as she staring at us. I point my gaze to Lena in silence, grinning at Rosa after.

“I have b-“ Lena states but I cut her before she’s done. “Oh, yeah… Lena runs some business outside the town, it’s a small business though and I helped her with that” I say as I grab Lena’s left hand which rests on her thigh under the table, and give her eye sighs to shut the fuck up. “Yeah, Maia’s right” Lena nods and grins. “How about the old company?” Rosa asks. “Purple Magz?” Lena says. “Yeah, yeah, that one” Rosa nods.

Lena stares at me, her eyes bulge as the eyeballs are about to come out and she shook her head slowly. I look at her in silence, thinking about what lies that I should state to Rosa. “Ladies? Hello?” Rosa raises an eyebrow as she drinks the wine. “Oh, we’re not in there anymore!” I exclaim. “Yeah, that was my father's friend's company. And you know… it’s easier to work on your own than to someone” Lena reply, she exhales in relief.

“Well, that’s awesome, glad to know” Rosa states as she chews the dessert. “As long as that’s not illegal, everything will be fine” Rosa says. I squeeze Lena’s hand under the dining table as I heard Rosa’s sentences, Lena heavily breathing as she rubbing her knuckles over my thumbs softly, trying to settle me down. I have no idea what will happen if Rosa knows about Lena’s job, she maybe will hate her and tell me to stay away from Lena because she affects me.

And I can’t, I can’t leave Lena because I love her. I maybe was a sick hetero who likes girl for the first time in my life and turns out as a lesbian after, but my feeling for Lena is real. Is not about the sexual fantasies that she gave me, it’s more about the connection between us, it’s like the connection between flowers and butterflies, they need each other to live, they complete each other and live together.

“You guys always have my back, no worries” Rosa says. “Yeah, thanks” I chuckle as I reply, trying to act normal. “So how about the next plan ladies? Have you talk to mom?” Rosa asks me. “Nope, I haven’t. Lena and I will focus on our job for now, we haven’t talked about marriage yet” I reply. “Well, that’s good! Both of you need to be more financially stable before married, if not… both of you will end up like this” Rosa laughs.

Rosa literally talks about herself, she was got married to her ex-husband after college and had Alison a couple of years after. Both of them rushing in making decisions because they’re still young at that time and in love with each other and they also want to be together. But life sucks, life making lovers become strangers, life making couples become exes and we can’t do anything to change that because that was our destiny, that’s how we belong.

How much we love our person, how hard we tried to be with them, if the universe doesn’t allow us, we won’t be able to be with our person. “Yeah, you were right!” Lena says, pointing me with joy in her eyes as she smiles, caressing my hand under the table softly. “You know Lena, I really like you, I don’t mind if my sister choose to marry you in the future and I truly didn’t expect that my sister becomes lesbian because of you” Rosa states, she chuckles in the last sentence.

“But the point is… I’m happy for both of you and I couldn’t ask more” Rosa smiles as she looking at Lena. “Congratulations Lena, you crippled the queen! Cheers!” Rosa shouts as she runs the glass of wine to us. “Cheers!” Lena and I respond as the wine glasses bump into each other and making soft noises. We literally celebrating our engagement with Rosa, she made our engagement become meaningful because she’s the only family that knows about this.

It’s almost 10 PM, Lena and I have to back home earlier. “Thanks for tonight Rosa” I say as I’m hugging Rosa, she caressing my back softly, telling nothing but smiles. “I’m so glad that I had you as my sister” I say, facing Rosa and smile. “Ah, don’t praise me like that!” Rosa chuckles. “See you soon and thanks!” Lena says as she hugs Rosa. “Ah, as always… take care!” Rosa says as she caressing Lena’s back.

“Where’s Ali?” Lena asks as she looking around the place. “She may be sleeping upstairs, it’s already 10” Rosa says. “Ah, right…” Lena responds. “Tell Ali we love her” I say, furrowing my eyebrows and caressing Rosa’s arm softly. “I will” Rosa smiles. Lena and I walk out of the apartment and we pull away as we reached the parking lot. Both Lena and I so happy for the acceptance of Rosa and we’re having the nicest dinner tonight.
