“Hey, where are you?” Rosa says through the video call.

“I’m in Paris” I laugh softly.

“Gosh! Seriously?” Rosa says.

“Yeah…” I grin.

“Why are you smiling like that?” Rosa highly raises her eyebrow as she stares at me through the phone.

“Mmm... let me guess” Rosa rolls her eyes.

“Lena took you on trips of course...” Rosa says.

“Nope! But that one is one of them too” I giggle, my cheeks getting rosy.

“Mmm… you look so happy now, what’s matter?” Rosa gives me a look, she raises an eyebrow.

“Jesus Rosa! Just guess” I laugh softly.

Rosa rolls her eyes, she staring at the ceiling as she makes her way to the couch and leans on it, she sips her coffee and thinking.

“Fuck, I give up! Tell me?” Rosa heavily sighs.

“Are you ready to hear shit!” I say excitedly.

“Yeah yeah!” Rosa exclaims and chuckles.

“We’re engaged!” I yelp excitedly.

Rosa freeze for minutes, her eyeballs are about to come out of her eyes as she keeps looking at me.

“Are you… the fuck… fucking…. kidding me!” Rosa says under her breath, she laughs softly after that.

I nod and smile through the phone screen.

“Oh my God! Oh my God!” Rosa surprise, her jaws are about to drop.

“Where is Lena? Where is she!” Rosa asks excitedly.

“Babe, come here!” I call Lena who sits at the dining table, she sips the wine before she comes.

“I don’t know what to say guys… I’m surprised. But I’m happy for you!” Rosa laughs softly and smiles.

“Hey!” Lena says, she waves her hand through the phone.

“Oh my fucking God Lena! You guys make me so happy” Rosa groans.

“Oh God… thank you so much, Rosa!” Lena smiles and she blushes.

“So you guys… officially?” Rosa asks as she raises her eyebrow.

I chuckle next to Lena as I keep looking at Rosa through the phone screen, Lena stares at me as she holds my phone with her and smiles.

“We’re officially engaged, but we ain’t wifey yet!” I chuckle.

“It’s more likely wife babe… It’s close” Lena says.

“Well, so how you tell mom?” Rosa asks.

“I have no fucking idea…” I sigh as I shook my head.

“If you guys are truly serious about that, just prepare yourself… tell mom and dad, and Lena’s families after” Rosa says.

“But I have no idea what will happen to both of you if mom knows about it… she maybe… arghhh I don’t wanna think about that” Rosa laughs.

“Oh, Alison keeps asking about both of you… come here soon and visits us” Rosa says.

“God, I miss her too…” Lena sighs.

“We'll visit you after we’re back from Paris” Lena smiles.

“Are you serious babe?” I ask as I point my gaze to Lena.

“Yeah…” Lena chuckles, she runs her face closer to me and kisses me.

Rosa watches us and smiles through the phone.

“Well, I think I should go…” She groans.

Both Lena and I laugh as we know Rosa teases us.

“See you soon girls, take care!” Rosa says through the phone.

“See you, I love you!” I say before I hang up the phone.

“Hmm… so what are we gonna do now except a nice tsunami on the bed?” Lena says lustfully as she teases me.

“Is that booty call?” I laugh softly as I make my way to the closet and leave Lena behind.

I quickly wear my sleepwear dress and lay down on the bed, clicking my phone and scrolling around the internet. Lena slides next to me as she placing her arms against my shoulder, covering us with the cozy blanket. It’s almost 1 AM in here, and both of us still stay up. “Mmm… how about if we watch my favorite Netflix series” Lena says as she pulls me closer to her. I’m placing my chin on her torso, looking up at her face and smile.

“Mmm… what a good idea! I just want to cuddle and chill tonight” I say. She laughs softly, her last wine breath still there and I could smell it when it touching my face. Her breath is my favorite thing even though when we’re eating pizza in the middle of the night, I still love how she smells. My face planting her torso and facing the TV a little bit, Lena takes the remote at the bedside and turning on the TV.

This is what we need after a long flight and terrible day, cuddling on the cozy hotel bed and enjoys the night together. A simple thing like this is enough for me, instead of partying with Lena’s friends who sell drugs. Whatever drama-filled program on the TV in front of me was irrelevant compare to the beautiful girl who lay with me forcing me to watch it. One year I have spent by her side and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

My innocent, almost naïve, way of life was refreshing to the thrilling, dangerous, and extravagant life she leads. She lived in such a laid-back life practically polar to mine, it made me question whether or not our coming was a good idea. This was easily pushed to the back of my head when I look over at how gorgeous she was. I couldn’t help but forget any worry I’ve ever had when I stare at those entrancing brown eyes, nothing else matters.

“Maia?” Lena asks, she looks down at me. I look up at her when I rest my face on her torso. Her face suddenly turning pink, almost perfectly matching the shade of her lips, I raise my eyebrow as I response, wondering why she was getting bashful. “Yes, baby, what’s wrong?” I say. “Umm… I was wondering if you’d be interested in meeting my mom. I’m not trying to push you or anything… no rush! It’s just…” Lena didn’t finish yet but I cut her off.

“Shhh…” I shush her, placing my index finger to her lips. “Maia” She chuckles. “Calm down babe, there is no rush. Actually, umm… If you want to, we’ll be having diner after we’re back to New York and celebrate my freedom from Egor. I’ll tell her to come…” Lena starts. “No worries, she won’t bite... she’s nice” She laughs softly as she pulling me closer to her chest. “And… the point is… I love you so much… and she knew I’m gay” She laughs.

“So don’t worry babe…” She says, hugging me closer to her chest. “And if you want Rosa to join us, she welcome to come” Lena says. “Yeah, that would be an awkward diner with questions” I laugh softly. “Yeah” Lena kisses my forehead. “After that…” Lena takes a deep breath as she cuddles me. “I’ll take you to the longest trip for a year before we plan our next step” She says. I have no idea where Lena is gonna take me after this.

Do I will stop in every airport that we're by and carry the drugs money with me or worse. “Baby, you okay?” Lena asks, caressing my hair gently with her soft fingers. “I… I’m fine” I stutter in a low voice. “Hey, look at me!” Lena cups my cheek and stares at me. “I won’t let you to carry the drug money again. I don’t care if I should recruit new kids and give them more treats! But I won’t let my gorgeous girl that I love most in trouble, understand?” She smiles.

“No more mess babe… no one will mess us anymore” Lena says in a low voice as she punches her lips against mine and kisses me deeply.
