Cuddling in my bed, Lena is next to me, sleeping… I can feel her breath heading towards me, I running my fingers through her hair and stares her. I take my phone and stare at the phone screen “Gosh… it’s 5 PM” I say in a whisper. I get up from the bed and leaving Lena alone, I walk downstairs and I see Rosa was busy making dinner. “Where’s baby bear?” I say while grabbing cold coffee from the fridge. “She laying on her bed with earphones in her ears” Rosa says. “What?” I say.
“You guys too loudly, so I put earphones to Ali’s ears and plays the baby music on it” Rosa says while cutting the veggies. I get closer to Rosa… “Did you hear that?” I say in a whisper. “Yes… clearly” Rosa roll her eyes. “Jeez” I say. “Your room is only 5 meters from mine” Rosa laughs. I giggle and drink the cold coffee. “Where’s Lena?” Rosa asks me. “She’s upstairs, sleeping…” I say. “Wow she lost all of the energy because of you” Rosa stares at me and chuckles. “Uuuhh… shut up” I chuckle.
”Alaia calls me and she asking about you, I invite her to come here for dinner today. She takes Riley with her too” Rosa says. “Ahh… really? Gosh…I missed them” I say. “You need help?” I say. “No, I like cooking alone because you always messing with me” Rosa giggles. “Hahaha… damn” I say. I leave Rosa alone and walk to the living room, I sit on the couch and turn the TV on. Lena’s coming… “Hey, you up?” I say. Lena sits next to me and smiles, she runs her fingers through my hair and she stares into my eyes.
“What’s up?” I reach her hand. “Would you be my girlfriend?” Lena says. I raise an eyebrow and say “What?”. “Would you be mine, Maia?” Lena says. I smile and chuckle. “Maia!” Lena raising her voice tone. “Yes, you idiot” I say. We stare into each other’s eyes and kissing. Alaia and Riley unconsciously arrived, they see us kissed. “Gosh, you guys here” I say. They stood awkwardly… I walk to them and hug them both. “Ughh… how are you guys?” I say. “We’re fine” Riley says.
We sit on the couch and talk. “So you guys dating?” Alaia says. Lena and I looking at each other, I raise an eyebrow and purse my lip meanwhile Lena’s wink at me. “Yes…” Lena says. I sit in silence… Riley stares at me “Really?” She says. I nodded my head and smile. Rosa’s coming “Hey how long you guys been here?” She hugs Alaia. “Ahhh mins ago” Alaia says. “How’s work?” Lena says. “All good…works in the field freaking me out” Riley answers her. “I know…” Lena chuckles.
“Gosh my steak” Rosa runs to the kitchen. I come after her “What happened?” I say. “Fuck… the steak burnt” Rosa stares at me then puts her hand to her head and sighs. “Gosh…” I say. I walk to the living room… “Guys we ordered food for today” I say. “Thought Rosa cooks for us” Alaia says. “Yeap… she was, now that’s burnt” I say. “Alright that’s okay... I’ll order the food now” Lena leaves us and takes her phone.
Rosa comes in disappointed face… “Hey that’s okay” I say. Rosa laughs in disappointment and says “Fuck… the grill…”. “Yes fuck the grill!” I say in a chuckle. Lena coming “Guys I ordered Mexican food, the foods will be here in 15 minutes” Lena says. “Alright then, I’ll prepare the table” Rosa says, she leaves us. “I’ll help you” Alaia says, she follows Rosa to the kitchen meanwhile Lena, Riley, and I waiting in the living room.

I’m helping Rosa in the kitchen, she was busy making desserts meanwhile I’m cleaning the dining table. “Rosa, don’t you think Maia’s decision is to rush?” I say. “Mmm… maybe” Rosa says. “Is she broke up with Ben?” I ask Rosa. “I don’t know, maybe. Why?” Rosa says. “I don’t know how lesbians stuff works, but I actually like having lesbians as friends. And I support Maia, always. But she just knows her in a month” I say. “Yeah that’s true… but I think Lena is a good person” Rosa says. “So do I… she helped me a lot” I say. We prepare the dinner and we about to start.
Lena opens the front door, our food is coming… Lena walks to the kitchen and gives the food to Rosa, Rosa prepares the food, and Lena helping her. Riley and I walk to the kitchen and sit at the dining table. We start our dinner together as a family, we laugh, talk and joking. Nothing can describe how grateful I am, having a sister who always be by my side, my friends who always support me no matter what, and the new one… Lena, the one who I love the most. The car’s horn accompanying our dinner… slight breeze come through the window, the curtains dancing… seeing them laughing and talking makes me happy. Lena’s bright smiles melt me, I occasionally looking at her and smiling in silence.

Sitting in the warm room with the peoples that I just knew but felt like my own family… this girl changes my life, she fills my empty life with her smiles and laughs. When the first time I saw her in the coffee shop, I’m in love… can’t believe that she becomes a part of my life now. I’m so happy… having her as a part of my life and these peoples as my family. I have never been happier like this, I grew without knowing how’s family works, I ever meet my father once but he breaks my heart, my mom is working all day, I stay alone at home with my childhood dog named Grundy while my mom working… I never know how family stuff… now… I think I knew… this is the new beginning of my life.

“Tonight is so amazing guys” Alaia says. “Yeah you’re right... this is the best dinner I've ever had” Riley says while eating her food. Rosa walk to the cabinet and grab the wine for us “Here we go” She says. “Gosh… this is what I’m waiting for” I say. Rosa poured the wine… we drink the wine and enjoy the night. We finish our dinner, Alaia and Riley leave. Lena and I clean the dining table, Rosa is upstairs feeding little Alison. “Ugh…” Sigh me, I lean on the sink.
“You look tired babe” Lena says. I’m smiling and staring at her. Lena is getting closer to me… I stare at her and biting half of my bottom lips. She stares into my eyes and running her finger through my hair. She stroked my hair gently… I feel her hands… I put my hands to her waist. Lena stares at me and says “I love you Maia”. “I love you with all of my boobs” I say. Lena chuckle “What?” She says. I stare at her “When I say I love you with all of my heart, that doesn’t mean I truly love you… but when I say I love you with all of my boobs, that’s mean I do really love you” I whisper to her.
Lena smiles and says “I know… because... your boobs are bigger than your heart” Lena pulls me closer, hugs me, and grabs my ass. I stare into Lena’s eyes “Mmm…Exactly…” I say. Lena chuckles… “Mmm...That sounds dirty” She says. I raise an eyebrow “I don’t think so…” I’m staring at Lena’s lips in dirty eyes. She’s about to kiss me… but Rosa comes. “Gosh jeez Christ… sorry for interrupting you guys” Rosa grab Ali’s milk on the table and walk away. Lena and I stand awkwardly and continue our work.
