~Eva and Kate happy over engagement~
“I have been engaged! Hurray!”
Mary screamed at the top of her voice, raised her finger to Eva and Kate who were seated at the ball room seeing movies at the time.
Eva sprang to her feet and gagged her mouth with her hands in shock.
Kate blushed and molded her hand into a fist which she later clapped in excitement.
“Oh my goose! This is history! Oh mum! I am so happy for you! Wow!” Eva exclaimed gagging her mouth with her palms which fidgeted nervously.
Kate forced a smile. Although she was happy yet she had mixed feelings about her engagement which she knew was obliviously coming from her new date, Doctor Frank. She only wondered what would become of Tony since Mary, her sugar mummy was legitimately engaged to a responsible rich Doctor who was the fancy of any woman.
From the very first day Kate saw Doctor Frank with Mary she knew things were going to turn around for them especially Mary whom she knew would agree to Frank’s marriage proposal, if he proposed. But since then Kate had been asking herself countless questions.
What would become of Tony?
Was Tony aware of this new date?
If he was, had he reacted or he was yet to react?
Or did he just let go?
By the way it had been a while she saw Tony; he might have been sorted out with money perhaps relocated to another city out of shame or decided to continue his life in another country. But the Tony she knew ; the very Tony she had dated, would never jump across a snow without giving it kick; she was yet to believe that Tony would take a chill pill and watch another man take away what belonged to him. Unless the boy he saw with her the other time was not Tony; unless her eyes were deceiving her. If he could do it to Brian over her, then nothing would stop him from doing it to Doctor Frank over Mary.
“Kate take a look at my finger. I am engaged to the cutest doctor in town. Oh my goose! This is the prime of my life. This is going to be the best moment ever experienced in my entire life ,” she said at a breath, as she was joyous that she couldn’t allow Kate utter a word or two. Kate only kept at her smiles, while Eva hounded her finger, admiring the diamond ring with utmost excitement . She was held spellbound to know that the first diamond ring she saw was on her mother’s finger, and an engagement ring at that.
Kate was lost in thought about her decision to keep Tony’s relationship with Mary a secret. She wondered what was stopping her from revealing it to Eva and how long she was going to keep a secret that churned her spirit and panged her heart whenever she thought about it; when she saw Mary with her new man , Frank; whenever she was asked by Eva to say something abut her mother’s new date. The other day she had summoned the courage to reveal it to Eva after she licked her vagina all through the night and woke up at dawn, weak and drawn, between her thighs. But on a second thought she changed her mind and waved it over, thinking she would certainly get over it and keep it a secret.
But that was just the beginning of it; every now and then she had experienced guilt upon guilt for keeping such secret from a girl she claimed to love; a girl she vowed to die for should the need arise. Certainly she might be very close to revealing it to Eva; just that she was considering the trouble and tension she would have created after leaking such secret and what would be Eva’s reaction for revealing the secret very late. But she was going to reveal it anyways she just had to! she had come to love Eva so much that hiding secret from her was a no-no,”
“Come on mom, when is the wedding bell going to ring? I can’t wait to watch my mom stand with her heartthrob on the altar about to be joined in marital bliss,” Eva chirped like a bird that got the grace to fly for the first time…
Kate was at her smile as she nagged at the thought of more troublesome days ahead if Tony should kick against her marrying another man. From what she saw in the eyes of Tony that dude was madly in love with Mary , although she faintly believed Tony would play with her heat just as he played with hers but then he had never known Tony to be a sugar boy. If he was, she never knew.
Mary replied in a rambling happy tone, “I would definitely brief you guys soon,” she let a laugh and tossed her head in total admiration of the diamond ring that sat on her finger like tiny broken glass, “You have to trust your mom,”
A camera flash! Another camera flash!
Eva was taking shots of photograph at her mother’s engagement ring that decorated her sexy finger,
“I can’t wait to post it on my social media handles. The whole world must hear this. This is the best news I have ever heard!”
Already Kate had gotten hold of a bottle of champagne and three flutes of wine from the bar which she shared among them
“We drink a toast to happiness; to love; to peaceful bliss and martial fulfillment,” Kate said, shaking the champagne and popping it in the air.
“Hurray! Hurray! Yeah!” The women cheered at the top of their voices, with smiles held cheek to cheek and laughter cracking the atmosphere within the room.
Kate poured the chilled wine into the flute of everyone, as they all held out their flutes.
“Cheers! Cheers! Cheers!” they said and clicked glasses together happily and with a rare energy.
Suddenly Mary’s phone rang and it was a call from Doctor Frank…
Something had happened; it was something that will make or mar her…
