Chapter 232: Chapter 232
Chapter 232
~Seduction and interrogation~
Even before they got into the police station, Ella’s attire made onlookers to have a second glance at her when they walked past her at the station. She commanded a great aura of seduction and sensuality which didn’t only make Coleman to wonder what kind of woman she was but what she was planning to achieve at the station by pulling up such attire.
And she was left to relate within herself the reason Coleman asked her the question about branching to a party after the interrogation. But however she dressed was intentional. She had planned to put the police officer that would interrogate her into utmost confusion with her body which was almost unclad. She had never gotten involved in a police interrogation before and with the disappearance of her husband and the visit of Coleman she knew it was going to get her involved with police and so she planned early enough to confuse them with her seduction and charms. If it would ever come through for her!
“What is your name ma’am?” the bulky, thick-cheek short-hair police who sat across a large desk asked Ella coldly and left his gaze on her bust which flashed into his eyes from the onset of getting into his office. The police man struggled to keep his focus above her head; somewhere at the wall above her head but couldn’t achieve that. each time her bust flashed into his eyes, he would breath hard and wink out of it only to have his gaze back at it again.
“Um,” she said and paused, “Ella Fred,” she replied, rolling her eyes, laughing inwardly as she could notice the police struggling to keep back his stare from her daring bust. Her charm was working out and she hoped not to be interrogated with harshness and uneasiness; the police man was at her mercy now and there was no stopping her.
“Ok…um…yeah,” the police winked out of her buts to put himself into total commotion, “We have sent out a search party for your missing husband and …”
He grinned, stole a glance at her nipples that pressed onto her dress. “What we have here,” he was staring into some pieces of paper now, flipping through and finally pausing to read through one of it. “We found something that would interest you,” the police man said, curved his lips in anticipation and winked at her nipples that tried to force themselves out of her dress.
And Coleman gave a suspicious look at Ella which made Ella to fear if what the police had to say concerned her in a kind of way that could implicate the evil she and Brian committed against her husband.
She stroked her nose and was forced to say, “Speak on we are all ears,” she spoke with fear and she stared on the wall across the police, fighting back her fear and anxiety that built in her head.
“Yes we were out in search of your husband all over the nooks and crannies of Miami and we didn’t come up with anything interesting until we found something at the lake down the valley,” he said and paused to share a stare amongst Coleman and Ella
Coleman’s eyes darted sideways wondering, what the police could have found about his cousin.
Ella’s breathing started whistling as she felt crushed within herself, feeling that something mind blowing was about to be revealed and it would implicate either Brian or her because they murdered her husband in cold blood; the guilt still hung on her neck.
The police turned a picture he got from a file and showed them. “This is what we found. I believe it belongs to your husband,” the police intoned.
Coleman collected the picture from him. “His shoes?” he asked , staring deeply into the picture and reading meaning into the worn out, dirty-looking pair of sneakers that lay apart from each other. “Where did you say you find this? He asked yet again, feeling not to take off his eyes from the image.
“The ancient lake down the valley.” The police implied, feeding his eyes with the bust of Ella that dared to pop out of her dress . And he wondered what she was doing when she squeezed into such dress to come for interrogation.
About being caught by Ella, the police diverted his stare to Coleman.
“Now what does this mean? You found his shoes? This is only but an image. It could be anybody shoes,
Ella said,” Ella said, glaring at Coleman and the police hoping she was making sense, “if you have the shoes , we would love to see it rather than in image,” she demanded.
And the police stood to his feet , advanced to the landline, dialed some numbers. “Bring the shoes ,” he spoke into the phone. And came back to his seat; as they waited patiently.
Shortly a sergeant police officer, walked through the door, saluted the senior police officer and placed the shoes on the table. He stood aside.
Coleman was not only stunned but also threw a glance upon the image, frowned, placed his hand on the shoe and started studying it with carefulness. He raised the under and beheld how the sole had been ripped off, allowing mud to get into it and pile up. He stared at Ella and handed her the shoes to have a closer look at her husband’s shoes.
With the pang of guilt hitting her mind, she only could collect the shoes from him and inwardly wished Coleman would learn to do things without her. It was only she that could tell the guilt ravaging her heart a nd she confirmed to herself that it was th exact pair of sneakers he had on his feet when they dumped his corpse into the lake. She glared at the sneakers pretentiously and managed to drag a sorrowful moody look across his face , making Coleman to pat her on the shoulder to nurse her.
”Put yourself together , OK” Coleman said, collected the shoes from her and placed on the table . He cleared his throat. “So does this shoe imply my cousin is alive?” he asked the police.
Ella swallowed a dry lump down her throat at the thought of that question from Coleman…
Disaster!
