Chapter 53: Chapter 53

Ruhaan's P.O.V.

.

Roshni and me kept glaring at Tamim for a while but he didn't even look at us for once and kept his head down.

Then I spoke up, "Tamim, you remember that person whom you just beat now? He is the very same person we terribly beat because he harassed Titly. Do you remember what you kept asking that man while beating him then? You kept asking him, 'How dare he touch your sister?' Then how could you do this to that very same sister of yours? How could you Tamim!"

When Tamim looked at me, tears was clearly visible in his eyes. I didn't bother that but kept glaring at him.

He just uttered, "I am sorry, Ruhaan."

Roshni who was all silent till then spoke up sarcastically, "What did you say! Sorry? You even have the audacity to say sorry after doing all that?"

Interrupting her, I spoke up in a deadly tone looking at Tamim, "Roshni, let him complete. I want to know which excuses he is going to use for the justification of his actions that he has been doing till now."

But Tamim didn't utter anything except that sorry and kept avoiding our gazes as tears rolled down his cheeks. Being impatient and unable to stand that, I uttered again, "I need an answer, Tamim and unfortunately your tears are not being able to express your words. So do a favour on us and speak up."

Tamim then looked at me and spoke up, "I know Ruhaan whatever I have done to you won't be justified by any excuse."

I asked him again, "Why did show up in front of us? You should have just stay hidden always."

Making us shocked, he uttered, "I want to pay for what I have done till now. I just came to say sorry to you before going to confess my doings and surrender to police."

Not buying his word, I uttered again, "Tamim, do you think we will believe you?"

"You don't need to believe me, Ruhaan but I really meant my word." Tamim spoke up in lower tone but interrupting him, I asked again, "Cut the crap and tell me the name of that person who made you do all this?"

He gave me a questioning look and I uttered again, "I know you were not alone in this. If you were alone, you wouldn't have done anything of these and specially you wouldn't leave Roshni even on your marriage day. Isn't she the very same girl you loved from your college days? So don't bother going on with your crap and tell me the truth."

He remained stick on his word and uttered again, "I am the only one to be blamed, Ruhaan."

Being unable to control myself, I just grabbed him by his collar and uttered deadly, "Tamim?" and he just kept looking down with teary eyes.

I let go of him and spoke up, "Tamim, I will make sure to find out that person who is behind all this and who you are trying to protect with your life being like this. I will not leave anyone of you. Just know that."

He kept standing there and I left the place holding Roshni's hand. Standing by the entrance of the office, I spoke up, "You continue. I have got something to do."

I was about to leave but got stopped as Roshni uttered, "How could you be so sure that there is someone else also?"

Looking at Tamim who was still standing there keeping his head down, I spoke up, "I know him very well Roshni. And there was something in his word that is bothering me."

Remembering something, I looked at Roshni and spoke up again, "Roshni, was there any moment in those three years when Tamim got injured while protecting you or Titly but wasn't able to catch the suspect?"

She nodded and spoke up, "There was and that's not just for once but many times."

Hearing her, I spoke up, "Then it's confirmed. There is someone else and from him Tamim was protecting you two all those time but couldn't get himself to expose that person."

"You got a point. You know he always told me to leave this town with him along with my family and live peacefully." Roshni stopped as her phone started ringing.

I told her to get in the office and took my leave. About the other person, I kept thinking on my way back to office.

Though a thought came to my mind but I dropped that finding no possibility of that.

Tamim's P.O.V.

.

After leaving Roshni in front of the people who was just questioning her character, I started feeling terribly guilty.

My heart kept reminding me, "You love her Tamim. Don't do this to her. You want to be loyal to that person, then be that but here what is fault of Roshni? What did she do to go through all this? Why are you making Titly pay when you called her as your sister?"

I was about to get back to Roshni and Titly to confess everything but he was already in front of me by then and I couldn't do anything.

After thinking all these day, I decided that I should pay for my deeds not involving him but before that I would go to Roshni. I knew she would never forgive me for whatever I had done to her but still I went to her office and kept standing in front of it.

Then Shimar came to me. Seeing him, I couldn't control myself from beating him as he spoke up, "I heard that bitch died for whom you two beat me and put me behind the bars."

I was already on the edge of guilt for doing wrong to Titly and hearing him uttering that about her, I just took out all on him.

And then I heard Ruhaan uttering my name, "Tamim!"

He kept asking me the name of the person who was behind all this though I kept telling him that I was at fault only.

I was just hating myself hearing him and realising the extent of belief he had on me nonetheless I kept quiet.

Ruhaan left from there taking Roshni and I stayed behind keeping my head down.

Then I thought of talking to him before going to surrender to police and forwarded towards his house without bothering to call him to know if he was at home.

To my luck, he was just getting out of his house when I reached there.

Seeing me, he uttered, "Why did you come here? Didn't I tell you to call me if something happens rather than meeting me?"

Staring at him, I spoke up, "I wanted to tell you this directly."

He uttered in irritation, "What is it that you thought of telling me directly! Anyways come to my study."

I followed him to his study and then he asked me, "Speak up fast. I have a important meeting to attend."

I spoke up without bothering that, "I am going to surrender to police for whatever I have done to Roshni and Titly. It's true that you made me do all these but don't worry. I am not going to utter your name but take all the blame on myself."

Interrupting me, he spoke up, "Have you gone mad? Why would you do that? There is no proof of those incidents. We have already cleared everything."

Without bothering to answer him, I continued, "And it's not what I wanted to tell you. I wanted to make a request meeting you directly. Don't help anyone in their losing time to make him go through all this like me. You should have just abandoned me back then rather than making me go through this hell. Please don't do this again to anyone."

Completing my say, I got out of his study only to face a deadly glare from him who was standing by the entrance of the study.
