Chapter 41: Chapter 41

Ruhaan's P.O.V.

When we got bonded lawfully, I uttered while glaring at the people around, "Now she is not just 'Roshni Hasan' but my wife 'Roshni Hasan Ahmed'. So think twice before you say something about her." and that made the people stop badmouthing Roshni at once.

Quazi Saheb told me to get blessings from elders. In my world, I had lost them already but when I saw Roshni going towards her mother, I followed her.

When I stood in front of her, she uttered gratefully, "I don't have the words to thank you son. You saved us today. Otherwise who knows what would have "

I didn't let her complete and spoke up, "You don't need to thank me aunty. I just did what I felt I should do at that moment."

I uttered the last sentence looking at Tithy's smiling face while thinking I made her smile.

But when Aunty spoke up, "May be this was destined to happen.", I looked at her being confused and she blessed Roshni and me to live happily as a couple forever.

I looked at Roshni blanky and she was all silent but had the same expression as mine. Then Tithy got near us and hugged Roshni and started crying.

Letting go of her, she looked at me and spoke up, "My sister is very special to me, Sir and she is a very nice girl also. She deserves nothing but the best. So please take good care of her."

Finding nothing to say, I just smiled at her while caressing her hair.

And she spoke up again, "And thank you sir for taking such a big step to save us. But I assure you that you won't regret your decision. My sister is really a nice and caring person."

I looked at Roshni for once then turned to Tithy again and spoke up, "Tithy, now can call me Vai."

She smiled hearing me and uttered the word that I was craving to hear for a long time, "Vai." and I also smiled heartily at that.

At evening we took leave from them. I went forward and opened the car door for Roshni. Tithy, Aunty and Heer took Roshni towards my car.

She was about to get in but stopped midway and looked back at her family. She hugged her mother again while crying.

I waited for her until she calm down a little. Then they made her hop in my car. Taking leave from them, I got in driver seat.

I kept driving silently for the whole way. When I reached home, I got down and went towards passenger seat.

Before opening the door, I looked towards my house. Then I opened the door and Roshni looked at me blankly.

I spoke up sadly, "Roshni, there is no one in my house to welcome you."

Hearing me, she looked towards my house and I continued, "Roshni, I am well aware of the situation how we get married. Like you I also haven't the slightest idea that we will be getting married this way. But as this already happened, I think we should try to get along like friends at least. And believe me, I had no ulterior motive behind this."

She kept staring at me for a while and then uttered while nodding at me, "I don't know why but I trust you though I generally don't trust people easily."

I smiled a little hearing her and spoke up, "I will never break your trust. I promise you."

She got down from the car and followed me to my house. Opening the door, I let her enter my house and took her to my room. Then I brought her luggage there and spoke up, "You stay in this room and I will take the guest room. I think you should get changed and take some rest now. I will call you when dinner is ready."

She nodded at me and I left the place.

Getting freshen up, I went to kitchen. Taking food out from fridge, I heat them up and set the table. When dinner was all ready, I called her.

When I didn't get any response after calling her and knocking at the door for a while, I pushed the door slightly only to find it was open already.

I got inside hesitantly and found Roshni crying silently sitting on the floor.

I got near and sat beside her. When I put my hand on her shoulder hesitantly, she started crying loudly.

I got dumbstruck for a moment. And she spoke up then, "You know, I have gone through pretty much in my life but I never imagined even in my worst dream that one day people will call me characterless." and went on crying badly.

Then getting myself together, I spoke up, "Roshni, I can't change whatever happened but from now you will never be alone. I will be there for you whenever you need me. I promise you that. And don't think too much about whatever other people said. Just know that your family believes you."

Hearing me, she nodded but then looked at me confusingly as she spoke up, "And what about you? Do you also believe me?"

Staring at her for a moment, I spoke up, "Ain't I also in your family now?"

She kept staring at me for a while then smilingly she nodded at me.

Then I also smiled a little and spoke up, "Besides we decided to be friends, remember? So you can share with me from anything to everything. I am not sure if I will be able to help you out always but I will make sure that you will not be facing problems alone. I will be there with you."

She nodded and looked down then I spoke up again, "Let's take our dinner now. It's all ready."

She nodded and then we got down together and went to dinning table. Pulling out a chair for her, I took my seat facing her.

Pointing at the foods, I spoke up, "Generally, I don't take dinner. So there isn't much. Please help yourself with it."

Dinner went on silently later. She didn't say anything about the food. So I thought of asking her and I spoke up for once in the mid, "I don't know about your food habit. Ask kaki tomorrow to make foods for you as you like them." She just nodded at me.

After dinner, she helped me to clean the table though I kept refusing it.After that, I spoke up, " Do you want a coffee?"

She shook her head and I said again, "Okay then go. Get some sleep now."

She was about to leave and I went towards kitchen to make my coffee when I heard her uttering my name, "Ruhaan?"

I turned to her and she spoke up, "Thank you."

Being confused, I asked, "For what?"

She replied smilingly, "For everything."When I nodded at that, she left from there.

Taking my coffee, I entered my study and tried to concentrate on my work.

Tithy's P.O.V.

.

Api left with Ruhaan sir and we entered our house. When I found Ammi lost in deep thought, I got close to her and spoke up, "Don't think about whatever happened earlier. Just remember what is worth remembering. And Ruhaan sir is a nice man as far as I got to know him, Ma. I am sure, Api will be happy with him. Don't you worry."

Nodding at me, Ma replied, "Let's just pray so to Almighty to keep them happy always." and went to her room.

I also went to my room and Heer followed me there.

Entering room, I said to Heer, "Heer you know, when Api's marriage was fixed to that Tamim, I didn't know why but I was feeling restless. But now when Api is with someone we didn't even imagine, I am not anxious about her. I am feeling like, she is where she should be."

Heer also said then, "Ruhaan Vai seems to be a nice man. Api will be happy with him."

Hearing Heer, I also uttered, "Ruhaan Vai!" and felt something strange but couldn't figure it out.
