Ruhaan's P.O.V.

After meeting when I was about to enter my cabin, I heard someone uttering, “Tithy?”

I looked at the person and saw the person was Roshni. Before I could say something, Tithy followed me to my cabin.

I looked at her surprisingly but she didn’t bother that and asked me, “Sir, coffee?”

It was clear from her voice that she was upset with something or someone. While shaking my head, I asked her, “Isn’t she your sister, Roshni?”

She nodded as she looked towards the door but kept silent. When I asked her, “Are you upset with her or something?”

She was hesitating to answer me. I could feel that but I wanted her to open up with me. So I spoke again, “It’s okay. You can tell me. Remember you helped me last night when I fell sick. Just like that I also want to help you, if I can in anyway.”

She was about to say something but Roshni entered my cabin after knocking and forwarded a file to me.

And as soon as Roshni entered my cabin, Tithy left from there saying, “Sir, I am coming back after completing the report.”

But she already completed the report, I asked from her. I thought in mind. There must be something wrong with them.

So I asked Roshni as I took the file, “Any problem?”

She uttered while shaking her head, “No. I have made a plan for our project. You should have a look and let me know if you want any changes.”

I tried to say something, “That’s okay. I will let you know. But” and she cut me off as she spoke up, “Now if you excuse me?”

I nodded and she went out of my cabin. I started thinking what might be the problem with them. It might be something personal of them.

Thinking like that, I forwarded towards Tithy’s cabin to tell her to call it a day and go home.

As I understood, she wouldn’t tell me her problem but I didn’t want to see her like this. And if I made her go home with Roshni, they might sort out their problems by themselves.

Entering her cabin, I heard Roshni saying, “I am sorry sweetie.” whereas Tithy was trying to keep herself busy with a file.

Seeing me, Roshni stopped. It seemed they were facing a serious problem as the behavior of Roshni I knew from past incident was far away from getting Tithy hurt by her. I was sure that she loves her sister, Tithy very much.

So with an intention of helping them to sort out their problems, I spoke up, “Tithy, you can complete the report tomorrow. Call it a day and go home now.”

She tried to refuse but I went on ordering, “I said ‘Go home NOW’.”

She looked at me blankly. Then nodding at me, she left the cabin after closing the file.

Roshni was still standing there all silent. When Tithy left from there without turning to her, she looked at me and said with a little bit of smile, “Thank you” and left from there.

I came back to my cabin and tried to concentrate on my work but their thought kept bothering me.

Roshni's P.O.V.

I didn’t know why but I felt Ruhaan was trying to help me to sort out our problems. I thanked him with a little bit of smile and rushed following Tithy while calling her, “Tithy please wait, sweetie.”

She didn’t stop but started walking slowly. I caught up to her and tried to say something but interrupting me, she spoke up, “Api, stop it. You know I didn’t mean all those I said to you. But it’s true that I am hurt. I am hurt to see you like this. Why are you behaving like this? If you don’t want to marry Tamim Vai, just say that directly. Why are you going on with leaving us behind and all those?”

To calm her, I tried to start a casual conversation with her. “Okay sweetie. Now you tell me what do you want me to do? You want me to marry Tamim happily without any excuse, right?”

She strongly refused to that and spoke up, “When did I tell you to marry Tamim Vai? At first when I heard about the proposal, I thought you two are already together. And that's why I didn’t tell anything to Ma.”

I was slightly shocked at her response to my question. So I asked her again, “Then what do you want me to do, sweetie?”

She looked straight at me and said, “Api, do what you feel like. If you don’t want to marry Tamim Vai, just say that to Ma but don’t include us leaving behind and all that talk. It’s your life. You have the right to take your decision. Talk to Ma, api. She will surely understand. And you will always have my support with you, Api. Just say your opinion.”

Hearing her saying all this, my eyes got watery as the thought of my Tithy came to my mind.  She had always been there for me, supporting me with whatever decision I made.

Seeing my condition, Tithy again spoke up, “Api, what’s this! My sister is not weak. She is strong enough to handle the tough situations, right?”

I smilingly nodded at her and caressed her hair. While walking we came to the road. Then taking a taxi, we forwarded towards our home with a determination to talk to Ammi.

When we reached home, it was almost evening. Entering the house, the first thing we did was to check on Ammi. Generally, on this time, she is found in the kitchen preparing snacks for us or in the living room waiting for us.

But today when we didn’t find her in her as usual place, I looked at Tithy once then rushed towards her room.

Ammi was lying on her bed. We rushed to her and I put my hand on her forehead. She was feverish. Being afraid, I tried to wake her up but she didn’t respond.

I told Tithy to call the doctor and I went to get wet towel. After putting the wet towel on her forehead, she opened her eyes slowly.

We both went close to her and Tithy spoke up, “Ma, you alright? You were fine when we left in the morning. Then what happened to you all of a sudden?”

Ammi smiled a little bit and said, “I am fine. Don’t worry you two.”

By that time, the doctor got there. After she was done checking on Ammi, I got out with her from the room leaving Tithy with Ammi.

Getting out, I asked the doctor, “How’s is Ammi doctor?”

Doctor smiled a little and said, “She is alright now. May be she was tensed for something. Give her the prescribed medicine timely. Try to keep her happy and tension free. And if possible don't leave her alone. She is already a heart patient. You know the situation very well.”

While nodding I spoke up, “Okay doctor. Thank you.”

“Let her sleep for some time and when she wakes up, make her eat something then give her the medicine. I will take your leave now.”

When the doctor left, I went back to Ammi’s room. She was asleep and Tithy was caressing her hair lying beside her.

Seeing them like this, I smiled a little. I went near them and spoke up in lower tone, “Sweetie, Ammi is alright. Don’t worry. You go and get freshen up first. Then come back here. I am here with Ammi till the time.”

“But Api” Tithy started to say something but got cut off by me, “I will go and make something for her then. Go on fast, dear.”

She nodded at me then got down from bed and left the room. I sat on the bed and staring at Ammi, I kept thinking what should I do now.

If I say, I won’t get married now, she will be tensed again. Then something came to my mind, “We all can shift together then.”

Tamim said this to me when I said to him that I won’t leave my family. So if I get married to him and we all shift together, Ammi will also get a company of Tamim's mother.

As anyway neither me nor Tithy will be able to leave our jobs and be with Ammi all the time.

Maybe this is the right thing to do now. Maybe Tamim and me are destined to be together.

I wanted to hear that I am thinking right but no response came from the within of me...
