Ruhaan's P.O.V.

Remembering the incident of that day, Shaan and me kept silent for a while and then he looked at me and said, “I didn’t even get to give her the ring vai.”

I looked at him with teary eyes and he continued, “People say ‘When you can tell your story without crying, you are all healed for that.’ Then it means we are still on that phase, Vai.”

I understood what he meant nonetheless I kept quiet. After a moment, he again spoke up, “Give me some more time Vai to get healed. I will move on and get married according to your choice. I promise you that but don’t do this to me now. Please, Vai.”

I couldn’t handle his pleading anymore. When I nodded, he smiled sadly and hugged me. I patted his back as he kept sobbing.

When he let go of me, I wiped his eyes and said, “Okay. You take your time. But now you should go home. Uncle must be”

He didn’t let me finish and stood up. Taking out his phone, he called someone and I knew who was it when he spoke up, “I won't be home today. Vai is ill. I am gonna stay with him.”

I sighed and looking at me, he uttered, “You sleep and I will be right beside you.”

When I tried to speak up, he said again, “Not a word vai. Sleep now.”He was sounding like Titly. I lied down properly and closed my eyes as I knew, he was not going to take anything else as an answer.

Eventually I fell asleep, I didn’t get to know when.

When I opened my eyes hearing the Azan of fazar, I found Shaan sleeping beside me. I went to washroom and after doing my business, I made ablution and get back to my room. I woke him up and started saying my prayer.

By the time I completed my prayer, Shaan got out of the washroom after ablution. Shaan started his prayer and thinking of something, got ready and kept waiting for him to complete his prayer.

After his prayer, he got shocked seeing my dress up and asked, “What is this now?”

I smiled and said, “Let’s go for jogging.”

“Have you gone mad, vai! You are sick now and do you really think, Titly will allow you to go for jogging now?”

Hearing him, without realization I started saying, “Why not! All we just have to take her with us then.”

“Vai, you are impossible” he uttered the last word whisperingly.

His facial expression changed at once and it took me few seconds to understand the meaning of it.

He uttered again, “Vai?”

Looking at him, I spoke up sadly, “I am fine now and I will go, Shaan.”

He just nodded and said, “We will go then.” and got ready. Then we left for jogging like we used to go back then.

Tithy's P.O.V.

At Fazar time, Api woke me up for prayer. After prayer, we both recited Quran for some good time. Then Api went to check on Ma. When she came back to our room, I asked her, “What is Ma doing?”

“After prayer, she is again getting some sleep.”

“Hmm.. That's good. Api, wanna go to garden?”, Saying this, I took her hand and started walking towards the garden.

Sitting on the bench we didn’t utter a word for some time. Then I spoke up, “Api, are you sure about this?”

When she gave me a questioning look, I again said, “I am talking about your marriage. Are you sure about marrying Tamim vai?”

She looked forward and kept silent. When I again uttered, “Api?”, she answered, “I don’t know, sweetie. I don’t know what I am doing now.”

I didn't know why api was hesitating and spoke up, “Api, if you don’t want, then you don’t have to marry him. That's just it.”

“You don’t worry sweetie. I will handle it. By the way, do you know now I am handling a project with your company?”

“Yeah, I know. Ruhaan sir told me about this.”

“Oh, I forgot to tell you yesterday. Let's go now. I need to prepare breakfast.” Saying this, she stood up.

“I will give you a hand. Let's go.” saying this, I also followed her inside the house.

Roshni's P.O.V.

In the garden, Tithy started questioning me about my decision. When I thought, she was trying to understand my situation, I changed the topic immediately to divert her mind.

When I stood up saying, “I need to prepare breakfast”, but she also followed me saying, “I will give you a hand. Let's go.”

While making breakfast, I asked her, “If I am not around, you will take care of Ammi, right?”

“Of course Api. And by the way, it's not like she is your mother only not mine. Or you think she is?”I got startled hearing her question and couldn’t answer her instantly.

She spoke up again, “Api?”

I looked at her blankly thinking what should I answer her.

I was about to say something when Ammi came to us and asked, “What’s going on between you two?”

“Nothing much, Ammi. Breakfast is ready. You sit. I will set the table.”

In breakfast Tithy kept silent. Ammi gave me a questioning look and I just nodded which was enough for her to understand that there was nothing to worry.

After breakfast, both of us left for office.

Tithy's silence was bothering me. So I spoke up breaking the silence, “Tithy, what are thinking, sweetie?”

She glanced me a sad look and said, “Api, you know I don’t even remember a single thing from my childhood. The things I know that you, Ma and Heer told me. But this doesn’t mean, I don’t love you guys.”

I didn’t let her complete and spoke up, “Tithy, what are you saying? Have anyone of us told you that ever?”

Without answering me, she continued again, “I really don’t like the idea of your marriage to Tamim vai. And I also know this, you are not doing this willingly. But if your reason is you are worrying that after your marriage, I won't take care of Ma then I am really hurt api.”

“Tithy, when did I”, she didn’t let me complete and went on her way leaving me puzzled behind saying, “Got to go Api or I will be late.”
