Chapter 81: Chapter 81
The boys were dressed in milk coloured chinos trousers, a sky blue shirt and a black jacket. Their pair of shoes were black tuxedo, all designer and expensive.
Their hair styles are exactly like Louis and they look cute and charming especially Damian, he looks exactly like Louis, a real younger version of him.
Dora was looking like a princess that descended from the fairytale Kingdom. She was dressed in a full milk coloured gown and her hair was made in a curly style.
She looked good in her diamond jewelleries. Pamela and Louis were to dance and when the kids saw them, they came on stage and danced with their parents.
Louis' couldn't take his eyes away from Pamela for a second. He whispered to her "you are looking so beautiful in your dress" he complimented and Pamela blushed.
"Thank you, Louis. And you are looking charming as well" Pamela complimented back. Louis thanked her and smiled.
Miranda Alvan stood by the sidelines. She had promised not to get any closer to Louis Hayden again. The harsh and hard words he spoke to her after they returned from Singapore was enough for him to keep calm.
She had to beg, apologise, send text messages and eventually promised to respect herself before Louis ever attended to her pleas.
He told her that he cannot be associated with cheap Women who have no self esteem for themselves and categorically told her that she's a cheap woman and is not in any way better than the whore who lives in brothels.
That was too much for him. Immediately he said that she withdrew from him. He is not the kind of man she wants to be with. He has no regard for women when he's upset with them.
But from the way he was staring at Pamela, it appears he still loves his ex-wife. He once said that his ex-wife didn't leave him, he was the one who left her.
He might decide to get back to her, after all they have children together and he seemed to still be in love with him. As a friend and partner, she wishes him all the happiness in the world.
Everyone got a partner and danced with Louis Hayden and Pamela. The latter squatted and kissed each of her children. She told them that she missed them very much.
They hugged her and wouldn't let her go until she assured them that she's going to be with them for the rest of the evening. She isn't going to leave them. That was when they let her go.
Lucas stood. He was staring at Pamela with doting eyes. It was so obvious that Miranda Alvan noticed. Why is this man staring at Pamela with so much love?
Soon, the refreshment was on. Pamela went round, meeting a few people, telling them how happy she was to have them visit on her kids' birthday.
"Dr. Pamela, I heard that you lost your company to Hayden's cooperation?" One of her partners asked, happy that he got to meet her one on one to ask this bothersome question.
"That's what it appeared to be Mr Lucero. But most of our partners are still with us and besides, I am still the President of the company. We are now attached to the Hayden's cooperation, basking in the euphoria of their successes" Pake answered with a convincing smile.
"I have full faith in you, Dr Pamela," Mr Lucero confessed, beaming with a smile. He read about the woman and knew about her previous success in handling the P and D4 group in Middletown City.
"You won't have any reason to lose hope, Mr Lucero" Pamela affirmed. They talked about a few more things before she moved to others.
All the while, Louis couldn't help but glance at Pamela at every sixty seconds. He saw her back view, her dress fitting tight on her and he felt like holding her in his arms and telling everyone she was his.
Eventually, Pamela went to Leah and wanted to hug her but the older woman moved backwards, tactically evading her hug.
Louis saw his mother's actions and wasn't comfortable with it. Pamela meant no harm, she only wants to be close to her, that's all.
Ellis saw it and looked away. He knew it would take Pamela a while to win Leah's love again. Sometime in the previous week, Leah had said she doesn't ever want Pamela to get close to Louis again, not even using the kids as an excuse.
Now, seeing her actions, he knew things can never be alright between them easily. It will take time but eventually Leah will come around, again. His earnest desire is to see his son, Louis get intimate with his kids' mother and raise a complete family with the woman he loves.
"Aunt, I'm sorry if I ever hurt you. I didn't mean to, it was Louis I was…" she was saying when Leah raised her hand to stop her.
"Please stay away from me and my family. I do not argue with you over the children but don't come after my son again!" Leah begged.
She glared at Pamela and looked away. She would have done something terrible to destroy her, but she is Alice's daughter. How can she ever do evil to her bestie's daughter simply because she was no more.
Pamela sighed. She didn't mean to hurt her and uncle Ellis. She was after Louis. They had done nothing to her. It was Louis who ruined her cordial relationship with them and she only meant to destroy him and not them.
"Aunt Leah, please.." she was going to apologise for her forgiveness but Leah frowned "This is my grandchildren's birthday party. If you do not remember that you are their mother, I do.
Just leave my face. And remember what I said earlier, I don't want you anywhere around my family. Just stay away from us" she glared at Pamela with hostility.
Pamela became weak. Her excited spirit was gone and she turned from Leah, glancing quickly to find Lucas. Her eyes locked with Louis and she saw the doting in those eyes.
I don't want you anywhere around my family. Just stay away from us… Pamela remembered Leah's words, ringing in her heart and she looked away from him.
"Pamela" Lucas called, beckoning to her. He walked towards her and held her in a side hug. She forced a smile but her eyes had gone red and her face was pale. She looked scared and frightened and Lucas brought her aside to talk to her.
Louis Hayden felt jealous. If he never knew what being jealous meant, he understood it that moment. He felt like going over and punching Lucas on his face and pulling Pamela away from his grip.
He needed to talk to her at once and ask her what his mother said to her but he couldn't, his father called him "Louis" and told him to come over.
"You can't show your jealousy over a woman who hasn't accepted you as her man. I will create an opportunity for you to be alone with her" Ellis assured and Louis nodded.
His stare was icy cold as he glanced at Lucas again. But his eyes locked with the latter and he saw him sighed softly. Lucas chuckled and shook his head.
This kind of fierce stare, coming from Louis whenever he is with Pamela, is scary. He already confirms that Louis is also in love and he sees him as a rival.
He still doesn't understand why two people will be in love and neither of them would go first to confess his or her feelings. They are being mute and the result of it is such a hostile stare.
"Pamela, come and join the kids in cutting their cake" Miranda Alvan requested. Pamela wasn't expecting her to talk so calmly and she nodded, glancing at Louis.
She came over and Louis watched from the sidelines. Lucas strolled to him and said "she loves you very much, not me" and sipped from his wine. He glanced at Louis with a smile.
Louis wasn't expecting that and he simply glanced at him. Why did he say so? Was he also suspecting him that he loves her?
Pamela placed her hand on the kids' hand and the cake was cut. Leah beamed with a smile and kissed their cheeks. "I love you my little cuties.
Everyone present applauded and at this time, Lucas took advantage of the cheering and leaned closer "How I wish she loves me half as much as she loves you, I wouldn't have lingered. Pamela loves you and just waiting for you to say it"
Lucas moved away and smiled, going to another person to talk. Miranda Alvan came closer and asked "Are you not the manager of the People's Bank?"
"Yeah, the general manager," Lucas replied. He didn't expect that someone in the party would recognise him there.
Louis glanced at Lucas, now talking to Miranda. He glanced at Pamela and their eyes locked. Pamela smiled and he did the same. Somehow, he felt relaxed after Lucas' words. Is it true that she loves him?
Lucas and Miranda Alvan were now talking quietly, almost in a whisper. Pamela came over and placed a piece of cake on Louis' mouth. The latter took a bite and Pamela placed the rest in his mouth.
She went over and placed a piece of cake in the kids' mouths just as Leah was done doing so. The two women gave each other a piece of cake as well.
Then Pamela remembered Ellis Hayden. She took a piece and went to him "How have you been, uncle?" She asked, placing a piece of cake in his mouth.
Louis was watching from his split vision. He saw Pamela chimed and talked with his father. He felt his father would fulfil his promise to him soon.
"Pamela, you know where my study is located, right? You take the stairs and turn left. At the extreme end, that's where my study is, go in and help me with a pen.
I placed it on the large desk. Can you please get it for me? I only trust you alone here.." Ellis requested, smiling at Pamela.
"Sure, I'll get it for you" Pamela replied and turned, going towards the mansion. She really hasn't gone upstairs before. Back then, she only stopped at the sitting room. But with Ellis' description she would get where the study was located.
She's happy that he trusted her. She went quickly towards the stairs. She wished Leah would also trust her. Sometimes, women are the hardest ones to please.
As soon as Pamela left, Ellis and Louis exchanged glances and the older man shrugged. Louis glanced towards Lucas and the latter nodded.
Louis went after Pamela and went towards his dad's study:
