Chapter 70: Chapter 70

Late at night, Louis arrived at his parents cottage in the US. He didn't bother to wake them up, rather he went to get himself a light meal from the kitchen, take a shower and went to see his kids.

They were sleeping in their bed. He kissed them on the chin, one after the other before turning to leave. Dora was the first person he went to kiss and he still wanted to kiss her again before leaving.

But she grabbed his hand weakly and mumbled "daddy" in her sleep. Louis chuckled softly and smiled, kissing her temple before slipping away.

She must have missed him for her to call him in her sleep. It's amazing, that feeling makes him feel ectatic. It's a feeling of being a dad, a great dad.

He got back into his room and sank into the bed. He checked through his phone and saw there was a text from Pamela. Quickly he sat up and checked it.

Congratulations Louis, on your new project.

He smiled. She really congratulated him? It's so sweet. Pamela congratulated him. Quickly he responded Thank you, my love.

Louis read his response more than five times. Should he respond to her that way or just say thank you? He doesn't know how she would take it.

Last that he remembered, she was mad with him. If he sends it to her like that, he might aggravate her fury against him. He edited it and removed the last two words.

And in place of the two removed words, he placed a rose flower. No, this is being flirty. He edited it and put the emoji for love.

Oh no! Love? No, Pamela would be mad with him and might call him to insult him. He edited it and left the only word thank you.

But isn't it too casual? Pamela can never be a casual person to him, not in this life. She occupies his heart, mind and his soul. He needs her to be complete, he loves her.

For the next twenty minutes, Louis Hayden was contemplating on how to respond to a simple text message. Then eventually he decided to be formal.

Thank you dear.

This is better. Using the word dear, doesn't mean anything, right? That word can be used without any string or thought attached to it.

He held his breath and finally decided to send it. Then he waited, will Pamela call him to unleash her disapproval or text him back?

He forced himself to stay awake for another thirty minutes and had no response. He sighed, it implies she's not mad with him for using that word.

Since it worked, he would use it for her another day. He smiled and placed his phone away. He was going to have a pleasant night's rest, not because of the launched project and the billions Hayden group was going to make but because he used that word dear for that one person he loves.

Pamela held her phone close to her heart. She felt her belly sweet. There are butterflies in her belly. He appreciated her text message and replied with such a romantic text.

He used that special word, dear. She's happy that he was romantic towards her in his text. She wished she could see his face when he sent the text.

He probably might be smiling now. Otherwise he wouldn't have used that word dear for her. She hugged herself and laid back on her bed.

She couldn't sleep, her heart was filled with the thoughts of him hence she sent him the message. She didn't expect that he would still be awake and reply to her at once.

Now, she could sleep. A pleasant night's rest. The man she loves sent her a romantic text and she wish it's coming from his heart and not just a mere message.

When next, she's sending him a text, she would use the word as well and see what would follow.

Next morning, Leah was the first to notice that Louis had arrived. She went to his room, and found him asleep. She kissed his temple gently and went out.

She ordered the cook to prepare a special meal for breakfast. Her son was around and she wanted to make his favourite dish.

She told the cook to prepare noodles and a variety of vegetables. Prepared a fish sauce separately. He would choose whichever one he wants to eat along with the noodles.

She got fresh fruit, blended it and let it get cold in the refrigerator. Louis likes freshly prepared juice the most. Although he takes carbonated drinks and juice as well.

The kids soon wake up. They came downstairs for breakfast. They all sat down to eat when they saw Louis come over from his room to join them.

"Baby" Leah exclaimed, standing up and coming over to hug Louis. She hugged and her eyes turned teary.

"Good morning Mom" Louis greeted, crossing his hand around his mother's shoulders. She smiled broadly excited to be back to his parents and kids.

"Congratulations son. I am proud of you. Never in this life will I want a better son. You are the best, dearest son.." Leah chimed and smiled through teary eyes.

"Thank you Mom. I love you so much"he replied, and kissed her temple. Leah held him like a little boy and brought him to sit down.

"Good morning daddy" Dora greeted feeling happy and ectatic that her dad was home. She missed him already.

"Good morning sweetheart" Louis chimed, blowing her kisses. She's his girlfriend now. Someday when he gets to bring her mom to love him, she will cease to be his little girlfriend but his previous Jewel.

The boys greeted too and said they missed him. He said he missed them the most, that's why he took the flight all day and arrived back just to see them.

Ellis just stared at his son and smiled. He didn't know what to say to him. Leah had sung his praises and said he was the best. The kids have told him they missed him. What would he say to him now, except to say he loves him.

He simply nodded and gave a thumbs up. Louis smiled and was salivating. He already perceived the aroma of noodles and vegetables and he liked it.

Leah didn't let the servants serve him, she personally dished his food and served him. She picked vegetables and then added a Little fish sauce.

Louis took his cutleries dug into the meal. It was only after a few mouthfuls that he realised he had lost his manners. The one who served him was his mother and not his servants.

"Thank you Mom" he said between mouthfuls and continued eating. Ellis was happy. His family is complete except for one person, Pamela.

And if not Pamela, someone else that Louis really loved. A woman by his side. Leah was there, Louis was also there and the kids. But it is only going to be complete if his wife is also there.

There's a lot he would discuss with Louis. Now, there's going to be enough time for them to discuss that.

As Louis Hayden was having breakfast with his family, his picture was flying around on the internet. He was being celebrated. He was having millions of followers on his blog and many friends request trooping in.

Hayden's cooperation was going in geometric rates. The shares, and market sales of the goods and services were doubled if not tripled.

Various companies were registering their interest in procuring the robotic machines and ready to go into a long term partnership with them.

Within three days, Louis Hayden was three times richer than he was before the launching of the project. To make things more convenient, he shifted an aspect of the marketing team to the former Stonecut group, which is now an annex of the Hayden's cooperation.

Despite being away, Louis was working hard from the US. He was signing, approving and in some cases, rejecting some partners.

He was there in his father's study, having several zoom meetings and dishing out instructions to his top managerial team.

Romeo was handling things perfectly on his behalf. And he really didn't get to spend his time with the kids. Thank goodness, his parents were there and their nannies.

His parents quite understand his tight schedule and don't bother him when he's busy. He was either on call or in a meeting and unable to continue to work online, Louis told his parents he was returning to Oak City with the kids.

It's a week now after the launching of the project. Leah suggested that they return with Louis and the kids and Ellis agreed.

Early the next day, they boarded Louis ' private jet and before nightfall, they arrived in Oak city.
