"Are you crazy or something?" Louis Hayden frowned, his facial expressions became dark. He took a step backwards, totally avoiding Miranda's touch.

"You walked into my room to ask me if you can spend the night here, are you crazy? If you feel cold why don't you double the quilt and hold your pillow tight.

Better still, contact the hotel to get you a professional gigolo to keep you warm all night. Why looking for warmth in my room? Do I have a warming machine in here?" Louis reprimanded her.

"Louis, if you turn a blind eye to the body language and cannot read the handwriting on the wall. I am telling you that I want you, I love you Louis.

I have loved you since college. I didn't want you to avoid me, that's why I never told you. I love you Louis" Miranda Alvan confessed, coming closer to Louis.

Louis' stares became frosty and cold. How dare she tell him she loves him and had kept it in her heart all these years?

"Just stop it Miranda Alvan. Don't let me despise me. Get out!" Louis ordered. He walked briskly and went to hold the door.

"Louis, listen to me…"Miranda was going to apologise for her outburst but Louis gave her no such time "the door" he bellowed.

Miranda Alvan sighed softly. She walked to the door and paused just in front of Louis. She glanced at him and she saw his cold stare of irritation.

As soon as Miranda went out, Louis shut the door on her loudly and bolted the door from within. This whole nonsense wouldn't have been if he had bolted it.

Now, his conversation with Pamela had been marred and she claimed to love him, trying to find warmth in his bed. Does he look like he has the ability to charge people who are cold?

Some women can be so shameless. He hissed between gritted teeth and went to sit at the edge of the bed.

Worried, he decided to call Pamela back but the latter will not answer her phone. He tried a voice call and then a video call but Pamela would not answer.

He became unhappy. Is she hurt and upset with him? Shouldn't she have asked him why he wasn't laying a good example for the kids?

He decided to send a simple text: Not what you think. Well, Pamela might choose to analyse the text and understand its content. But if her ego and arrogance took a hold of her, she might choose to ignore it.

Pamela's temper is something he couldn't understand. She called him for the first time and ended the call angrily. And if he wasn't wrong, it seemed as if her eyes were teary when she ended the call.

Was she so heartbroken?

Pamela saw Louis' call and refused to answer her phone. She wasn't in a good State of mind. If she answer, she would be subbing and show herself as a weakling.

The best was that she shouldn't answer. It wasn't long she received his text and quickly read it. She sighed softly and asked a rhetorical question: what am I thinking? But alas, Louis was not there to answer her question.

The next day, The launching began. Several of the robotic machines were displayed and it went live. The live streaming was ongoing all over the world and that included Oak City.

As the machine was being displayed, the main sponsor for the project was Louis Hayden. He arrived in the most stunning white Ferrari 250 GTO. It is said to be the most expensive car in the world.

He rode in that car alone with his chauffeur and behind him was Miranda Alvan, his partner in the project. As Louis arrived at the site of the launching, he was surrounded by journalists and cameramen.

His bodyguards arrived and stood in parallel, creating a path for him to walk through. His men were heavily guarded with guns and as the car came to a halt, one of his bodyguards came forward quickly and held the door for him to step out.

Flashes of camera were being heard. Some were using a flyover, they needed to catch every moment and second of Louis' presence, a lot of viewers were eager to see him more than they who are opportune to be present.

Louis Hayden was dressed in an expensive white designer suit. The sight of it alone spills millions of dollars. His undershirt was turquoise blue and his pair of shoes was white as well.

As he came out of the car, he wore a shade and his hair was styled to a textured pompadour fade with a well groomed, clean beard. His pinkish thin lips added to his stunning and charming looks.

He took the breath of everyone away with his looks. The ladies gasped for breath and the men nodded in acknowledgement. A single man gifted with so much wealth in appearance and finance.

As he walked, Miranda Alvan also stepped out of her car. She was dressed in a pink suit and pants. She styled her hair into a wavy, 'coily' type, and her jeweleries were pure diamond.

Her lips were painted red and had make-up that appeared too heavy to befit her. Louis waited for her and they walked side by side along the red carpet.

Live streaming was going on, camera men were taking pictures and videos but Louis refused to answer any of their questions. He has his usual expressionless face but Miranda was all smiles, waving at everyone as she walked.

Louis' bodyguards remained in position and allowed their boss to walk without being disturbed by overwhelming journalists.

Lucas was watching the live streaming. He admired Louis Hayden. He is such a great guy and any woman will readily fall in love with such a man.

He is Pamela's crush and she deserves to have him. Despite being so cute and charming, he was never rumoured to be in love with any woman or dating someone.

Are women not throwing themselves at him or none of them ever confess their crush on him? Is he avoiding him and was successful in doing so?

Pamela placed her hand on her chest. She's alone and has to say the truth to herself, Louis is the cutest man she had ever seen.

Will her sons grow up one day and be so cute like their dad? She expected that from Damian and Daniel, the two of them would take after him.

Only David looked like her but then, he had Louis' eyes and complexion. He is not as fair as her. David has his complexion.

He is the father of her kids but she didn't get a chance to be sexually involved with him. She's really been cheated in this life. Now that flirty Miranda Alvan is having him between her legs.

She stared on as the other woman was all smiles and Louis arrived at the stage where they were walking to. He removed his shade and stretched his hand backwards.

A bodyguard quickly took the shade from him and Louis smiled, shaking hands with all the dignitaries present. He was welcome and the whole place was echoing with applause.

He wanted to say thank you but his voice was not heard. He had a wireless microphone but still no one heard him. Louis Hayden smiled for once and that aroused another round of clapping.

"You are handsome" "you are the cutest guy I have ever seen" "we love you Mr Louis" " my crush".... All sorts of words were being hard as the ladies glamored being seen by him.

Of course all the words fell into his ears. Those words would have meant a lot to him if they were coming from the lips of the woman he loves. He wished Pamela would love him, he would have been the happiest man on Earth.

Eventually the atmosphere was a little calm and Louis gave his quick speech. They were there for a grand ceremony of launching a new project.

Miranda Alvan gave her quick speech by saying the idea of the project had been conceived for a few years but thanks to President Hayden, the project had been eventually birthed.

Hearing the name Louis Hayden, the initial applause rang in the air again but this time, it came to a stop quickly.

Now, they had to experiment with the robotic machine. A few of it were brought to the open and tested, gosh it was awesome.

The accuracy of their analyses and response reads in micrometres and in a split of seconds there is a response. They could do vertically what any human can do.

And an advantage of it is that they cannot be affected by humidity, temperature and bullets. They can only be tampered with by a professional and to make it difficult for non manufacturer, they were inbuilt with a microchip, whose passcode can not be guessed easily by hackers.

Pamela was overjoyed by the discovery. This would have been bought readily by her company if she was still in charge. But was Louis Hayden in Singapore when she called him the previous evening?

He definitely would. She frowned that he was with Miranda Alvan. A gush of jealousy surged within her. She should be by his side but fate had cheated her in this life.

Now, to order such machines, that would be discussed by the marketing unit of the Hayden's cooperation.

Miranda Alvan was asked who she would dedicate the project to and she said her father. She wished him a continued rest in peace.

He fought and protected this project from hackers and he did so with his life. Her words were solemn and everyone clapped after she finished talking.

When Louis was to dedicate the project, he said "I'm glad this project came to be, today I dedicate this project to my kids, they are the most important thing in my life and to that special person that I love. I hope someday you'll understand that I love you.."

"Oh too bad that you have kids and love someone already" "can I love you too" several comments followed and the launching came to an end.

But Miranda did something really shameless..
