Chapter 51: Chapter 51

Louis smiled and held her hand. The little girl smiled sweetly. Immediately he set his eyes on her a while ago, he knew she was his. She's the spitting image of his grandma.

He saw her face and it felt as if he was staring at his grandma. She's so beautiful with her dimples as she smiles at him.

"Dora" Louis called her name and held her hand. He stood up and came to stay by her bedside. He couldn't contain the excitement he now feels holding his own daughter and seeing her smile back at him.

"How are you? Are you feeling a bit strong?" Louis asked and Dora shook her head "I feel weak and tired. Where is my mummy and who are you?"

Louis smiled. "Your mummy is resting in the lounge. And don't worry, you will get to know me soon" he said and went to check on Pamela in the lounge.

She was sleeping now. He tapped her and when she opened her eyes, Louis said "Dora is awake and is asking after you"

Pamela quickly got out of bed and went to Dora. She bent over and kissed her daughter. But Dora's attention was not with her but with the fellow behind her.

She glanced back and saw Louis Hayden standing with his arms folded around his chest. He looked lost and distant.

"I want to introduce someone to you, baby. You've always asked me about your daddy and often you say you want me to take you to him. But today, I will not be taking you to him, because he has come to you. This is your daddy Dora. And he loves you a lot" Pamela said, standing up and beckoning Louis Hayden to come over.

The latter did and Dora's smile was broader "Are you my daddy?" She asked in a sweet voice.

"Yes. I am your daddy" Louis Hayden replied. He looked forward to this day when he would tell his kids that he is their daddy.

"Yeah... Yeah...I have my daddy now. He is such a handsome man. I love you so much daddy" Dora was excited.

Both Pamela and Louis exchanged glances and laughed. So much excitement from the little girl. She was as excited as her father who just got to be with her.

"I love you the most, baby," Louis confessed. He bent over and hugged her on the bed. His smile was broader and he was happy. It was evident all over him that he was.

The doctors then walked in. "You have an amazing daughter Mr Hayden" the doctor complimented. He witnessed the excitement between daughter and father as he walked in.

"Thank you doctor," Louis chimed. Soon the doctor explained to them that she needs to undergo a heavy dose of chemotherapy treatment before carrying out a stem cell transplant.

And from the looks of it, Louis would be the best person to donate a bone marrow for transplant. From the examination carried out, they realised that Louis has a similar genetic makeup with his daughter.

Louis said he was more than ready to donate bone marrow for his daughter's transplant. He wasn't going to Leave her side all through the chemotherapy session.

Two weeks later, Dora was fairly stable and Louis requested that she should be discharged. He would employ a specialist who would be looking after her and manage her to full health.

He donated his stem cell for transplant and didn't for once leave Dora's side. He took care of the hospital expenses and bills and abandoned his work and cooperation.

"If she's to be discharged, she returns to stay by my side" Pamela declared. Louis has proven to be a great dad, but she can't let her daughter or any of her kids be by his side.

"Why will she be with you? Haven't you been with her all these years?" Louis snapped at her. How can she be so annoying?

"I don't want to have any issues with you. She stays with me. I agree you have a right to her now, but you will meet her once a month. That's the best I can allow" Pamela declared in a tone of finality.

"I think there's something wrong with you. Try to stop me when I take her away" Louis Hayden dared her.

"Let's see just how you intend to take her away," Pamela retorted. What's the big deal if she has her daughter with her and he comes to check on them once in a while?

Louis Hayden was going to keep arguing with her when Miranda Alvan arrived. She had been calling and checking on Louis Hayden on the phone. And eventually, she decided to come around and check on him and his daughter.

She didn't know he had a daughter until he said that his daughter was not feeling well. It breaks her heart that he was being stressed out.

"Louis dear" she called and walked over, hugging him and tiptoed to plant a featherlight kiss on his chin.

Louis didn't refute her actions but hugged her back. "Thanks for checking on me, Miranda," he said, now holding her hands affectionately.

Pamela's gaze became fierce. She was feeling furious internally. Her guesses were right, Louis Hayden was having affairs with Miranda Alvan and it infuriates her that he was with another woman.

"You know I care a great deal about you more than anyone else" Miranda Alvan chimed, smiling and turning to glance at Pamela.

"Hi, we meet again, Miss Pamela" Miranda Alvan forced a smile. But her eyes were not friendly towards the former.

"I guess you will have to meet me more often henceforth because I am the mother to Louis' kids" Pamela seethed.

Miranda Alvan was surprised. Pamela and Louis? Is she his ex wife that he talked about? They really had been together before?

"Oh your ex wife, Louis. I didn't know you and Miss Pamela had a past" Miranda Alvan exclaimed, turning to glance at Louis, obviously directing her words to him.

"Yeah, now you know," Pamela replied. She directed her gaze to Louis, "we've decided and it's going to be the way I want it" she declared and didn't wait for Louis to retort before walking away.

Miranda Alvan saw her walk away and admired her hourglass figure. Such a smart beautiful woman was once in Louis' bed and had him to herself.

Louis Hayden sighed. What a stubborn woman Pamela is. He wasn't going to let her have Dora. Now, he's got to be with her, he is never going to part with her again.

If they need to make a lawsuit against each other on who has custody of the kids, he would gladly do so, especially for his daughter.

He doesn't get to meet the boys. He had gone home to have a bath and freshen up when they came to check on their sister. When he returned, the boys had gone back home.

They missed each other and since then, Pamela hadn't brought them to the hospital again. Maybe she's deliberate about it or not, he really cannot say.

"Come over and see my beautiful daughter" Louis tucked Miranda as he took her towards the ward where Dora was occupying.

Pamela walked briskly into the doctor's office. The latter was surprised at the hasty steps and snapped his head up to glance at who walked in.

"Miss Pamela, is everything alright?" Dr Nathan asked. He's been seeing her everyday and several times a day for the past two weeks. But her looks had never been so frosty like it was at that moment.

"I must be signatory to the discharge of my daughter. If I am not there, Dora should and can never be discharged" she declared.

She ignored the doctor's question and gave an order. And not waiting another minute, she walked out and left the hospital premises.

Freya, unable to live in Emma's house, decided to leave. She left and Emma didn't stop her. Rather, she said her mother had overstayed her welcome and should leave her and Rowland to live in peace.

Albert will be fine with both of his parents and his newly employed nanny. Freya then decided to go in search of her husband.

But hardly had Freya gone when Albert had another crisis.
