Chapter 35: Chapter 35
Louis saw her reaction and smiled. He didn't wait to get a chance to say anything when he continued "It was confirmed that the abortion was not done back then.
This was confessed by the doctor himself and I am also glad that you didn't lose the babies as a result of your bleeding. I must thank you for keeping my babies safe.
I was wrong back then, I'm sorry. I apologise for my irrational act back then. Now that you have returned, how do we go about parenting our kids?
You've been with them for years and your royal family has embraced them. Don't you think it's my time now, I need to hold them in my hands and let my family also kiss them" Louis said, giving a shrug as if it's not a big deal.
"I will not let you come anywhere close to my kids. Now get out!" Pamela declared. This fellow thinks he could do whatever he likes to her like in the past.
She would show him her strength now. He would have a taste of her new personality and learn to tread gently with her.
" Sure, I'm leaving. I guess we will have to talk about our kids next time" he declared, raising himself to his full height and taking long strides out.
As soon as Louis Hayden left, Pamela sighed. Louis Hayden must never be allowed to step foot on the P and D4 group anymore. She must issue a memo to that effect immediately.
That evening, Greg Freeman was unable to utter a word to all that Freddie told him. If the person he described truly said those words to him and was hostile, then that woman is not Pamela.
His dear niece would not be so disrespectful. She doesn't have the ability to lose her sweetness simply because she had become a princess.
How did she even become a princess in the first place? She went missing and suddenly she returned as a powerful princess and heiress.
Is that how easy it was to become a royalty? If so, he wouldn't mind disappearing for a few years and then return as a prince as well.
But that aside, his dear niece would never be mean to anyone. She wouldn't even hurt a flea rather than taking all that belonged to Freddie and Freya and leaving them destitute.
But in this case, it's Freddie alone that is suffering. Freya had gotten herself a house. He glanced at Freddie and saw him folded at a corner of his bed, totally lost in his world.
He doesn't know how good an orator he can become that night to quench the flame in Freddie's heart. He was broken-hearted and sad.
His wife and daughter have been terrible and he left them to take shelter with him. But discovering his elder daughter was more mean towards him than the other members of his family, he became wounded in heart.
He loves Pamela a lot. She wasn't his biological daughter, but he cared for her more than his real daughter. She was his heart beat.
And that daughter he loves so much suddenly despised him and talked to him with so much hatred and resentment, he couldn't bear it.
The next day, Greg decided to see his boss, Ellis Hayden and asked him if he knew Pamela was in town with a new identity.
While Greg was thinking about Ellis and Leah Hayden, Pamela was with them. She didn't make them feel excited to see her from her words.
"...you should talk some senses into your son. I won't take a bite of the act he put up in my office today. Next time I see him cross the lines with me, I won't spare him!" Pamela was leaving a message for Louis.
"Just shut up Pamela. This is not the woman I used to know. You are not like this Pamela. You can't talk to us so rudely…" Leah cautioned but she interrupted him again.
"I wasn't like this in the past. But the world and the people in it has taught me to be like this. That's why I am different from who I used to be. And I think it's better this way now than it was in the past" Pamela retorted back.
"And the kids?" Ellis asked. He doesn't blame Pamela at all. The Grayson's were mean to her. Her husband was cruel to her and pushed her to such a terrible point. Why wouldn't she change her personality to survive in this world?
"I owe you no kids, Mr Hayden. These quadruplets are mine. I Carried them in my belly and raised them to this point. The one that would have been yours was terminated by your son. You can ask him to be sure" Pamela declared.
Leah Hayden squinted. This is it. She is not interested in giving them access to the kids nor to let them be recognized as the Hayden family's offspring.
"You are nothing like Alice, Pamela. You only look like her but you are different from her in a lot of ways" Leah chided.
"Yes, I agree with you. And that's partly because she didn't have to encounter terrible people in her life like I did, especially a horrible man as a husband who would take her rights from her and trampled over her self esteem" Pamela replied.
She didn't wait another minute, but took her bag to leave when she suddenly remembered something else: "I will not be stepping my feet here anymore. But please, let things remain the way they are. I don't know you before, in fact we've never met" Pamela declared and walked away.
Leah sank into the sofa. She started sobbing. She can't imagine, in her wildest imagination, that Pamela would ever turn out like this.
She had blamed her son, she had sobbed, she had searched the entire city and mourned for Pamela. How can she ever think she would return with a twisted personality.
The only person who will have to fix this whole shit is the one who caused this rift and separation between her and Pamela and that person is Louis.
Clarion Johnson had called her and told her Louis and Pamela would be having a blind date by Friday. That would be alright then. She would let Louis prepare to meet her.
That night, Lucas was alone in his cheap one room hotel apartment. He doesn't have money to pay for another room the next day. Where would he put up with it?
As he laid on his bed and was staring at the ceiling of his room. He sighed softly. He had brought this misery upon himself.
The saying is true that the things we bring upon ourselves are usually the hardest ones to bear. He brought this upon himself and now, he was reaping the fruit of betrayal.
When he cheated and betrayed Pamela, he didn't realise that he was sowing a seed. Now the seed has germinated, grown and yielded fruits.
Now, he was having a taste of the bitter fruit. It's really bitter and makes his belly bad. He didn't know this was how bitter it was on Pamela when he dished it to her to bite.
He wished to find Pamela again. That is the earnest desire and he hopes she will find a place in her heart to forgive him.
He would get his lawyer the next morning and let him advise him on legal action to take. He would leave the properties to Emma but he wants to end the marriage.
This isn't marriage to him but a bondage. That is what it seemed to him. He just wants to be free. Nelly did well to have given him that freedom in a dynamic way.
He wants to have that freedom as well from Emma and be a free man again. He had learnt a few lessons from the female species and will henceforth, live a life totally separated from women.
As Lucas was lying on the bed and regretting his past actions, Emma and Rowland were engaged in a fight at home.
"How can you be requesting me to transfer such an amount to you? It's more than half of Lucas' savings. Besides, Lucas and I are still married…" Emma was disagreeing vehemently with Rowland.
He was pestering her to transfer hundreds of dollars to him. He kept hammering on the fact that he owes someone a huge amount of money.
It doesn't make any sense to her to give him such a huge amount of money. She could give him something but not eight hundred thousand dollars.
Lucas had worked so hard to save such money and he expected her to give it to him just like that simply because she had twisted it out of Lucas' hands? No, it doesn't work that way.
"You got such wealth from your husband and wouldn't give me just eight hundred thousand dollars? How much is such a meagre amount compared to everything you've got?
I am the father of your son. Whatever you give to me is the same as giving it to our dear son, Albert" Rowland insisted.
"I won't give you such an amount. The best I can give you is a thousand dollars" Emma declared.
