Chapter 29: Chapter 29

Pamela smiled. She descended the stairs delicately, her hair was long and wavy, as she descended, the hair was cascading down with each step she took.

She was dressed in a beautiful dinner gown embroidered with precious stones. It was glittering and fitted. Her jeweleries were made from the highest carats of gold, making it looked attractive and enviable.

Her curves were evidently portrayed and her beautiful set boobs were partly revealed by the opening at her cleavage. Her dress was an armless purple gown but went down to her feet with a slit in the front.

She had a light makeup on and her lips had a light touch of a red waterproof lipstick. She wore high heeled sandals which made her look tall giving her that perfect physique that matches with her curvy figure eight.

Her bright grey eyes complimented her beauty and she looked really like a princess.

The Hayden's raised their head to look at the direction the footsteps were coming from, and Clarion, already rose on her feet to welcome her daughter.

But the earth seemed to stand still in its orbit. The constellation of the earth had a pause on its position as everywhere seemed to be gravely quiet except for Pamela's steps, resounding in the room.

Ellis' tongue seemed glued to the roof of his mouth. Was he dreaming? This is Pamela, the poor woman who was treated like a filth by the Grayson's.

How did she end up as a daughter of a royal family? Was she adopted? Didn't Louis say he forced her into having an abortion and then, she refused to come home with him.

What is happening? Did the Johnson's already know what happened back then, between Louis and their daughter? Daughter? They called her daughter. She probably had been adopted.

But the one that was shocked the most was Leah. She stood up gradually without realising she was on her feet. She felt her knees weak and couldn't carry her weight.

Ellis suspected the worst, hence he stood up quickly and held her in a side embrace. Leah looked at the woman who was still taking her steps towards Clarion and her heart beat almost skipped.

She had sobbed, had sleepless nights over her and never knew she was alive, fine and living the life of affluence as a royal daughter.

The quiet daughter of the Grayson's family has become the elegant woman who has become Clarion's daughter. But then, Leah looked closely, she truly looked like Alice.

Oh no, her head is spinning and she can't coordinate her thoughts. She can't process all that was before her in less than ten seconds.

But Louis, his eyes had gone reddened. He saw her and his guilt came rushing into his conscience like a flood on a rainy day. Her pleas on that day, her tears, her words all were replying itself in his head like a record.

Then the last time he saw her and heard her words, it was like she cursed him. She said she would never forget and never would she Forgive him.

After that day, he never saw her again, except that moment. But the woman standing before him was different from the poor and timid Pamela he had known.

Five years had passed and within those years, she had changed into someone else. Her personality had changed, her affluence had reached the ends of their continent and beyond.

She definitely was the convener of the conference he attended halfway. If he had waited until the end, he would already have seen her.

How can he face her, and apologise to her? How can he gain an audience with her alone and tell her to forgive him?

His life would be filled with a lot of regret henceforth. Will she find a place in her heart to forgive him? He might not deserve her anymore but he needed to get her pardon.

The quadruplets Ms. Clarion talked about, whose kids are they?

"Hi grandma," Pamela said, hugging her grandma and kissing her chin on both sides. Her grandma had told her that he was introducing her to her mother's bestie back then.

She had decided to look good for a first impression. Her return to Oak City must be loaded with meeting a few people who would be true to her.

"Hi princess" Clarion Johnson chimed. She looked at Pamela and felt pleased. Tarvan was staring at her with dotted eyes, there was no mistake that she's the Jewel of the royal house.

Then Pamela turned to glance at the guests, Surprised!! East meets west. She shivered at the sight of the people before her and the next minute, her easiness gave way to fury as her gaze turned cold.

Same evening, Lucas returned home late and discovered that the lights in the house were still on. He squinted, he had deliberately allowed himself to stay away so late.

He went clubbing with Nelly and after that went home to her place, he had almost slept there in her place but he decided to come home to Emma.

They hadn't gone for the DNA like they agreed on that day and the time they had spent together the previous night had a significant effect on his displeasure towards her.

But seeing the lights on, he wondered why Emma hadn't slept yet. Her parents would definitely have gone into their room and wouldn't be awake at that time.

He parked his car in the parking lot and walked towards the front door. It wasn't locked and a simple push let it open.

He walked in, wondering why she wouldn't even lock the door. Had she gone drunk again?

But the scene that greeted him was choking. Emma was lying on the floor in her pants and a man placed his head on her boops.

The infuriating part of it was that Freya was there, seated on the couch and one of her legs was placed on the couch beside her.

It looked like staging a drama before him. Lucas looked at the scene before him and the people in it. None of them was asleep and didn't even care to glance at him when he stepped in.

"Emma!" Lucas yelled and the latter lackadaisical turned her head to glare at him. She seemed to be angry when he arrived home.

"Are you a fool? Why did you yell out my name like that?" Emma asked, not having a feeling of remorse that she was with another man.

"Are you stupid to ask me such a silly question? You brought a man into my house and laid almost naked and asked me if I am a fool? Aren't you the most foolish human on this planet Earth" Lucas bellowed.

Freya turned to glance at Lucas flippantly and returned her gaze on the television program she was watching. Actually, she wasn't interested in the television program.

She wants to be present at the moment when the reality of the Matter on ground dawns on Lucas. She would stand as a spectator and enjoy the scene that would unfold.
