Chapter 25: Chapter 25

"Lucas" Emma called and walked over to stand in front of him. "Aren't you going to say anything to what is happening? Can't you see how devastated my parents are?" She demanded.

She was staring at him in fury. She knew they are best not to be referred to as a couple. But he should remember that her parents had supported them in the past.

They sponsored their wedding and showed them love. Several times they had stood by them when Albert's crisis began.

"What do you want me to do, huh? I am not a lawyer. Even the lawyer had left. Why should I stand here gazing at the heap of sand and admiring it?" Lucas snapped at her.

"I know there are limits to what you can do now, but at least ask them to come home with us. They should have a shelter over their heads until this whole thing is over…"Emma was saying when Freya walked over to them.

"Take us home already. I feel I might slumped and die here any moment soon" She and her husband had nothing besides the clothes they have on.

Emma looked away from Lucas and smiled at her mother. "Yes, sure" she replied, holding her mother and tucking her father to come along.

They three got into Emma's car and drove off, not sparing Lucas a glance. The latter stood there and watched them disappear into the distance.

This will not happen henceforth. He will see to it that this family of three realises that he is the owner of the house.

When the lawyer called later in the day, he said the company handling the project requested for them to bring the document they were asked to sign.

Alongside the documents, they are to bring the document of their house, so they can be compensated.

When Freddie heard the lawyer's words, he was lost. Documents. Freya already tore it and for the house papers, it was covered up in the heap of rubbish that was left after the demolition.

Why is he having the feeling that they were targeted? Why not other houses, why their own? Has he offended anyone he should never have?

Freya said they were going to remain in Lucas and Emma's house. They are a family after all. And families will always stick together and support each other in difficult times.

That evening, Pamela was seated in her sitting room, and having a mocktail in her left hand, making a video call with the manager in charge of the construction work in Oak City.

He narrated everything that happened from visiting the Grayson's and demolishing their most cherished property. Now, the work has begun immediately.

Pamela smiled evilly. That's it. That is a glimpse of what really awaits them. Soon, they will feel the wrath of her revenge. As for that bastard who thinks with his dick, she would hit him hard soon.

Pamela gave orders, she wants that Mansion erected and completed before her arrival. And she added another instruction, it must be two times more attractive and more expensive than Louis Hayden's Villa.

She seemed to be obsessed with Louis. Whatever she does, she is interested in being better than him and of course, she was already richer than him and that cannot be overlooked.

She would take it, one at a time. Her return was for the best for her and the worst for those who trampled her over.

That night, Louis was uneasy. He just couldn't lay his hands on what was bothering him. He stood up and went to the bathroom for another shower.

He needs a woman in his life, especially to fulfil his mother's desires. After that incident with Pamela, he hasn't been able to forgive himself.

He was looking for Pamela in every woman he meets and wants to have a woman exactly like her. But he hasn't been able to. His mother had left him to live his life like he wants it.

Once he asked her if she would want him to get married to someone else and have kids. But his mother said she only wants Pamela.

She won't be able to live with someone else besides Pamela. He should keep searching for her. He knows she existed somewhere. He should bring her Pamela and no one else.

Where on earth was he going to find Pamela? Definitely not in Oak city. Besides the government, he had employed private detectives and none of them found Pamela.

But recently, one of the detectives told him that Pamela was in another city. He happened to stumble on someone that bears a lot resemblance to her in another city.

But he was yet to investigate more about her. He looked forward to hearing a positive response from him. He can't wait to have a clue of where Pamela is.

Even if she's at the ends of the Earth, he would go after her and see that she forgives him. He doesn't know if what he feels is love, but he really wants them to be together again.

He would visit his kids the next morning. It's been a week since he last visited them and gave them flowers. If he is down,he goes there and spends time with them until he gets relieved.

One month later, a helicopter landed in the vast space of Pamela's Mansion. She climbed out of the helicopter with her four kids.

Her grandparents would visit after their meeting with the president of Middletown City. Her great grandpa Jimmy Johnson had asked her grandfather to represent him.

They are the one special family in Middletown City. No one dares to mess with the royal family and would get away with it. Even the President of the country knows that too well.

Her conference is in two day's time. She already got a lot of information and everything was slated to begin by 10:am but she would only appear briefly for thirty minutes.

Another internationally recognized analyst has been hired to give a talk and she will be the one to mop up the floor. And then the commissioning of her company.

Pamela's bodyguards arrived at the mansion a day before she arrived. As she got out of the helicopter, she sighed audibly.

"I am back, Oak City. I am Pamela Johnson and my return will shake the city!" She said quietly.

From where she stood, she glanced around the house. One month was all that was used to erect such a magnificent building.

She remembered her childhood memories. How she played around Grayson's house and made to babysit Emma.

If Emma didn't sleep, she would have no food, either lunch or dinner. If Emma crawled or missed her steps when she was learning to walk, Freya would beat her black and blue for being careless.

She was barely three years older than Emma but she does the work of a nanny. It was only after she started going to school that Emma's parents got a paid nanny for their daughter.

Her childhood memories remained there. The building was different but the soil on which she stood on was the same. "Mummy, is this our new home?" David asked.

He's usually the outspoken one. He's the eldest though. But he is the most friendly of the kids. Their little sister Dora is such a beautiful girl and extremely introverted.

"Yes, baby. This is our new home now. Damian, Donald and Dora, this is where we would be living for a long time to come" Pamela explained, smiling from one of the kids to the other.

"Is our daddy here too?" Dora asked. Her question made everyone quiet for a few seconds. Pamela was speechless. Not again.

When she announced to the kids that they were leaving the palace and would be relocating to another city, she asked if she would see her daddy there.

Who told her that she had a daddy? She had played the role of both parents to the kids and now, she suddenly started talking about a daddy she had never told them about.

"You don't have a daddy Dora baby. I am your mummy and I love you and your brothers the most in this world" Pamela replied, regaining her wits quickly.

The little naive girl nodded. If her mother said she has no daddy, then she really does not have a daddy.

The nannies had arrived along with the bodyguards and they all stepped out to welcome the royal family. They bowed slightly and Pamela walked in.

The sitting room was awesome. She liked it. She's been living in the Royal palace for a few years already. She's used to seeing expensive and exquisite things that no longer appear a big deal to her.

But her new home was really impressive. It spells wealth, royalty and classical. Every single furniture, decor, painting were a result of millions of dollars.

The floor was a special type. She had only seen such a floor in the presidential suite when she had a courtesy visit to the President of Middletown City.

The luggage was brought in and she went to the master bedroom nearest to the kiddos room. There are two master bedrooms, one was definitely for her grandparents and the other for her.

She already knew about the interiors of the mansion. The manager of the project sends her zoom pictures and recordings.

"Get my car ready, I need to visit the company" Pamela ordered and the bodyguards nodded.

Soon Pamela was seated in the back seat of the most expensive model of a Lamborghini. She looked out at the busy street of Oak City.

Everything is familiar to her. It appeared as if it was yesterday when she left Oak City. Nothing is strange to her except that she's different from the Pamela that walked that street back then.

As they approached the company, there had been an accident. That created a hold up. Her car was stuck in the traffic as well. Seeing a messed car, she imagined how messed up Louis ' car was back then.

She rolled down her window and peeped at the bleeding man. But someone caught a glimpse of her, it was Romeo.

Quickly, he took his phone and called Louis Hayden "Your ex wife is also held in the traffic. I just sighted Pamela…" he was still making a call when she raised her head to look.

She locked eyes with Romeo and the latter couldn't comprehend her beauty. "Pamela!" Romeo called but the next second, Pamela wind up the window again.

Louis Hayden immediately knew what Romeo was saying was real. Pamela is in town, she's back! "Get a way to obstruct her and if you cannot, trail her. You mustn't lose her!" he declared, leaving his office amidst directors meetings, he declared that the meeting would be rescheduled.
