Chapter 89: Chapter 89
When the launching was over, Fred Meyer intertwined his fingers with Pamela and walked around, just the two of them.
Everyone was in a group of two or three. Talking and having fun. Fred and Pamela bonded immediately and they strolled off.
They sat a few distance from the others and Fred held Pamela's hand. He glanced at her and said "Whose baby are you carrying?"
"Louis Hayden" Pamela blurted.
"Louis Hayden?" Fred Meyer asked, dazed and confused. "You mean Louis Hayden, the one we were with a few minutes ago?" Fred asked again.
"Yes president Hayden" Pamela said and sniffled. "I was his fiancée. He gave me this ring" she said and raised it for him to see.
"But it doesn't matter now. He's married and has a baby with his wife. I'm heavy with his child but he doesn't know that it's his baby. Do it's over" Pamela declared and looked away.
There was a long silence between them. Fred Meyer sighed softly and said "You didn't know before you got involved with him?"
"He was single. He is in love with me alone. But his mother got in between when we were supposed to be married. The result is that she matched him with his wife.
I didn't know I was already having his baby. He doesn't know either. But when I later found out that I was pregnant, it was too late.
I don't want to ruin his relationship. So I rather stayed with my kids and myself. We would survive without him" Pamela explained.
"Kids, are there others?" Fred Meyer asked.
"Yes. Our first kids together are six years old Quadruplets" Pamela answered.
"What?" Fred Meyer was surprised. He moved away from Pamela and glanced at her properly. It doesn't look like she's had a baby before.
Pamela nodded, "yes six years old"
"Is the DNA report out?" Louis asked, whispering to Romeo. His eyes hadn't stopped darting at Fred and Pamela sitting together.
"Yes" Romeo replied and brought out the folded report from his back pocket. Louis collected it from him and tore it open quickly.
He perused it quickly and carefully raised his head and glanced at Romeo "Bitch! That bitch pinned me down with someone else's baby!" Louis bellowed.
"I thought as much. How can Pamela still be pregnant and the person you had intimacy with after, has already given birth" Romeo snorted.
Louis gnashed his teeth. They were married because of the child. She really got him. She took advantage of his lost memory and got him in a place where it's hard to slip off.
"Please, just play along with her until you recover your memory. Until then, you won't be able to win against her. Secondly, don't take the medication again.
I've already booked an appointment with a foreign doctor. Well leave in two weeks time. Just play along until then" Romeo advised.
Louis almost sobbed. He glanced at the woman who truly was his and saw her being held by Fred Meyer as he kissed her temple.
Romeo also saw it and looked away. Why does he feel that this guy was suddenly interested in Pamela?
When they got back together to have lunch, Fred Meyer pulled a seat out for Pamela first and sat next to her. Coincidentally, Louis took the seat opposite them.
Fred Meyer didn't stop gazing at Louis and the latter also had his eyes on him. A cold war was brewing but none said anything . No one wants to ignite the fire first.
"You're a princess of Middletown City?" One of the investors asked, glaring at Pamela.
"Yes sir. My grandfather is the king" Pamela answered, and smiled. She sliced a piece of fish and picked it to her mouth.
"Wow. And you decided to settle down in Middletown City?" He asked further. She's such a courageous woman to leave her position and affluence and stay in another country.
"It's for a while. Once I deliver my baby, I will relocate to Middletown City forever. Royals are better off in the palace" Pamela added.
Ellis dropped his cutleries and took a glass of water. He gulped it down and glanced at Louis. The latter had paused and stared at Pamela expressionlessly.
"That would be amazing. I've had a crush on you for years. I'll pursue you until you eventually become mine" Fred added, taking her hand on the dining table and giving it a soft squeeze.
Pamela glanced at him briefly and smiled. She held his hand and squeezed it more.
"You both will make a good pair and excel in business" The investors said, smiling broadly at the two future lovers.
"She's my business partner back in Middletown City. But now, I'll walk her the isle" Fred Meyer announced.
"Congratulations both of you" the investor said when Louis slammed the desk in fury.
"Fred Meyer, don't let me disrespect you" Louis thundered.
"Excuse me, President Hayden. Is there a problem why you would?" Fred Meyer asked, playing innocent.
"You very well know what I'm saying, right?" Louis snapped at him.
"Please Louis you should put your temper in check" Ellis Hayden corrected, making an eye to be calm.
Louis glared at Pamela and said nothing. He would talk to her that evening before she left. She can't be thinking of leaving Oak city with his kids to Middletown City to start a relationship with another man.
His kids cannot have a stepfather. He would make it right. Now that he knows Miranda's baby is not his, he would know the woman he married was indeed a liar and an imposter.
Pamela glared at him back. The lunch became gravely quiet until the lunch was over. Then it remained Pamela. Fred Meyer wouldn't go because Pamela was still there.
"I need to talk to you Pamela" Louis declared and immediately saw Fred holding her hand. He added "Alone"
"If you want to say anything, just go ahead and do so. I don't talk privately with another woman's husband" she snapped at him.
"No matter what, we had a life together and above that, we are each other's child's parents. I'm the father of Dora and her siblings, I am also the father of the baby in your belly" Louis blurted.
