Chapter 73: Chapter 73
Next morning, Pamela woke up to find a few invitations in her email. She's got a few more contract jobs. She will just respond to them later.
She feels happy that she's been recognised already. She would have to sit up and be able to meet up with the few she would be taking.
She touched her baby bump. Her baby was kicking. The ultrasound shows that it's a baby boy. If she has the ability to decide the sex of her baby, she would have preferred another girl.
It would be amazing to have another baby girl. She would have two girls and three boys. But alas, Louis kicked a baby boy into her belly. Such a smart dude.
Thinking about him, she sighed softly. There seemed not to be a chance for them together. He is married and they are expecting a baby together.
She never would have believed things would turn out this way. He is with someone else now. She's alone with their kids.
Pamela went to have a bath and came downstairs. When she did, she was surprised to find that Alyana was in the kitchen with the cook, helping her prepare breakfast.
"Pamela" Clarion called, walking over to her from the stairs. Pamela turned and glanced at her grandma with a smile. Her life found peace at the sight of her grandma.
"Good morning grandma" Pamela said, walking over to meet with her at the base of the stairs. Why is her grandfather not with her, this time? It really would have been amazing.
"Good morning." Clarion said and held her by the wrist, bringing her to sit on the sofa. She glared at Pamela's belly and said "Who did this to you? Who planted his seed in your belly?"
The question had been on the tip of her tongue since the moment she walked in the previous evening. But not to soil the moment of reunion, she didn't ask her.
Pamela sighed and fondled with her fingers. She didn't say anything. How can she say the father of her unborn baby is a married man who also is expecting a baby with his wife.
"Is it Louis, did he kick his seed into you and went ahead to be married to some childhood sweetheart?" Clarion demanded. Her voice was filled with fury.
"Yes, grandma. Louis is the father of my baby. I can't possibly be with another man besides him. I love him grandma, I swear I do" Pamela answered.
"Didn't he know you were pregnant when he went ahead to be married to another woman? How can he do that to you? How can you be pregnant with his child for the second time and bear the responsibility all alone?
I will confront him as soon as possible and give him a piece of my mind. I thought he was a responsible man. I was happy and supported your relationship. How can he do this to you?" Clarion bellowed.
"No grandma. Don't bother confronting him. He won't recognise you at all. If he can't recognise me, he cannot remember a thing about you" Pamela declared.
Clarion squinted. What did Pamela say? How can he not recognise her? Had he added arrogance to his unfaithfulness?
Seeing her grandmother contemplating her words, Pamela offered an explanation. "Louis is suffering from amnesia. He had a concussion and when he woke up, that's the complication that came with it.
For the past six years and a few months, Louis cannot remember those he knew within that period nor the actions and business he is involved in.
His famous robotic machine manufacturing and business, Louis doesn't remember a thing about it. Only People and events before that time, did he remember.
He doesn't know me. He said he'd never met me and the same thing goes for the kids that he loves so much. His mind is black out and his memory is in a confused darkness…" Pamela explained.
Clarion was speechless.
Louis lost his memory. He can't find Pamela in it anymore. His kids are also in black out in his lost memory. Is that the reason he merged with an old girlfriend?
"Does it mean, he had a girlfriend before you were married off to him when he was in coma? That woman he married, what's her name again, Magdalene or what did I say it's her name…" Clarion trailed off.
"Miranda Alvan, the woman he married, right!" Pamela chipped in.
"Yes, his wife Miranda Alvan used to be his woman, right? So he only remembered her and their love rekindled, leaving you in solitary" Clarion asked.
"No, grandma. Louis has never been in love with anyone before me. I am the only woman he had ever loved. In his past, there hadn't been any woman, grandma" Pamela explained.
"Then how did he end up with her? Why didn't you take your place by his side and let him know you are his woman, engaged to him and expecting a baby with him?" Clarion demanded.
"It's an unpleasant story grandma, but the one who separated Louis and I and brought Miranda Alvan to his side is his mother.
Leah Hayden is the one who made Louis and I fell apart. She disintegrated the centre, and we could no longer hold" Pamela explained.
"What do you mean, tell me everything Pamela?" Clarion demanded.
