Chapter 71: Chapter 71

It was late in the evening. Pamela was home with her kids. Lucas and Alice wanted to have dinner with them, but she said no. She doesn't feel like hosting them.

Suddenly there was a noise of cars honking at the gate. She looked at her wristwatch, her friends are not coming to see her and she's not expecting anyone.

She's heavy now. A little more than seven months gone. Her big round belly makes her appear to have added a few pounds of flesh.

Anyways, whoever it is, her security guards would definitely inform her if it's someone unfamiliar. She waited and the security didn't come.

Then she heard the noise of the door opening quietly. Besides her and her grandparents, no one else has the fingerprints access to the door.

Her curiosity took hold of her and she dragged herself up to go to the door when she sighted the outstretched foot of a certain person first.

Her eyes glowed with shock and surprise when she saw the leg. It's too familiar to her not to recognise it. She remained rooted and glared at the door as the full figure of the person came to full view.

Pamela was shocked. In her wildest dreams, she didn't envision seeing her grandma. For some seconds, the two women glared at each other.

The Earth seemed to have paused in rotation. Pamela wondered if she was dreaming. Her grandma, the Queen of Middletown City standing before her?

Nothing seemed to matter to her at that instant. Queen Clarion Johnson in Oak City? No, it doesn't seem to be a dream. She blinked her eyes and then shut them. She opened them and saw that her grandma was still there.

It only means it's real. Not a dream. "Grandma" Pamela whispered, still standing at the same spot and glaring at the older woman.

Clarion stood, her gaze on her daughter. The pain of rejection and abandonment by those she really thought are her family and the sudden realisation of the fact that the only person she thought cared about her, tied the knot with his childhood sweetheart.

Clarion looked at her granddaughter. She had been through a lot in her life. She sniffled and opened her arms, waiting for her granddaughter to accept her again.

Pamela's tear filled eyes gave way, her tears ran down her cheeks as she took a few strides and came towards her grandma but the kids outsmarted her and threw themselves on their great grandmother.

"Nana"

"Grandma"

"Grandmother"

" My Nana" the four kids chimed with Dora's voice coming last. Clarion hugged them and momentarily forgot about Pamela.

"Greetings, my lady" Alyana said, and bowed slightly before Pamela. That was when she knew that someone else came besides her grandma.

She walked over and placed both of her hands on Alyana's shoulders before looking behind her. No one else was there besides the security that carried their luggage and suitcases.

"Oh my little ones" Clarion chimed and bent over, kissing their temples. "I missed you very much. I really missed you, my children" Clarion declared.

She remembered when the kids were born. Tarvan threw a party in the palace. He was so excited and she felt fulfilled. But today, Tarvan had turned into a different man.

"We missed you grandma. Welcome. Where is grandpa?" The kids asked. They all wouldn't leave Clarion, all four struggling to hug her knees.

"Thank you kids. I missed you too. And your Grandpa is fine. He's a King now and you little cuties are now princes and princess" Clarion chimed.

"How are you doing, Alyana?" Pamela asked and squinted. Alyana was the grand nanny's personal maid, the last time she checked. Why is she there, who will attend to the grand nanny in her absence?

"I am in good health, my Princess," Alyana answered, bowing slightly before Pamela.

Yes, Pamela asked the security guards to leave their luggage and return to their duty post. They did and she called the servants to take the luggage in.

Queen Clarion has her bedroom, the one she shared with her grandfather, that's their room. Then Alyana's things were taken to the guest room.

"Come here, daughter" Clarion said, she had allowed the kids to hug her and now, they were jumping around, giving her a little space to be with her daughter.

Pamela smiled and walked towards Clarion. The older woman saw Pamela's Large belly. It seemed as if she was going to have a baby very soon.

That was not the best time to ask or say anything. Pamela hugged her Grandma, "I missed you grandma" Pamela mumbled.

"I missed you too, my little girl," Clarion declared. She'd left everything and her husband to be with Pamela again. And this time, she's never going to leave her.

Clarion tapped Pamela's back and wiped her tears away. She kissed her temple and looked at her belly, placing her hand on it "Receive my blessings, my baby"

Pamela's eyes went teary. Grandma already accepted her baby? That's amazing. She gave her baby blessings, a royal mother's blessings.

Pamela glanced around and caught Alyana staring at her with tear -filled eyes. The latter saw the princess glanced at her and cleaned her tears quickly, looking away to avoid Pamela's gaze.

"Alyana, how is grand nanny?" Pamela asked.
