Chapter 7: Chapter 7

Clarion laid in the lounge of the private ward where Jimmy was admitted. She didn't know when she slept off but suddenly woke up to a shivering cold and a quietness that seemed not to be from this world.

She hugged herself and a sweet breeze blew towards her and almost immediately heard her father in-law quiet and whispering voice called her name "Clarion"

She was startled and scared. She looked around the room, Tarvan was not in there with her, he's seated by his father's bedside.

A sudden fear gripped her, and she came to a realisation, has her father in-law become a ghost? She quickly climbed out of bed and went to the room where Jimmy laid.

Tarvan's hand was intertwined with his father's. But he was asleep. His head was laid close to Jimmy's chest. Clarion's heart beat fast.

She glanced at the lifeless body of Jimmy. She knew he was dead, she had that feeling that he's become a ghost and probably came to inform her so when she heard his voice called her name.

But glancing at him as he laid on the bed, it seemed as if he was having a peaceful sleep. His old wrinkled face appeared peaceful and calm.

A lone tear fell from her face and dropped on Tarvan's arm. The latter gently opened his eyes and his gaze went straight to his father.

He stood up quickly and stretched his hand to check his pulse when Clarion said "Father in-law is gone". Tarvan's hand was suspended. He glanced briefly at Clarion and saw her tear filled eyes.

He immediately used the patient's call bell and the doctors and nurses came forward. They saw the couple were standing by the sidelines and waiting for the doctor to confirm their suspicion.

They checked and turned to face the couple, the doctor sighed softly and glanced back at the lifeless body of the once King of the Middletown City and announced "His highness King Jimmy Johnson, is dead"

It's been days since Louis travelled to Singapore. His private jet just landed in the vast compound of his Villa. He was dressed in a blue long sleeved shirt and brown pants.

As he descended, Pamela admired him. Louis is an attractive, charming young man. His expressionless face gave him a unique look of handsomeness than when he smiles, and he rarely smiles.

She stood afar and smiled broadly. She's glad he chose her out of the numerous women in Oak city to be his girlfriend. She would cherish the relationship they shared as lovers.

He sighted Pamela afar off. But then he remembered the issue she had with Lucas. It hasn't been resolved yet, he was going to stand on his word.

In the few days he was away, he had always been communicating with Pamela. Either through a voice call or audio and he would still ask her if she's talked to Lucas. Pamela kept saying she'd not found him.

Soon, Louis was greeted by his kids. He lifted them all and kissed their chin. When he lifted Dora, she circled her little hand around his neck and kissed her daddy on his chin.

Louis loves Dora more than the three boys. They practically go places together whenever he is free to be with them. At a time, she would sleep off in his room and Louis would gently carry her back to her room.

Pamela was the last that Louis glanced at. Pamela threw herself on him and hugged him hard. She kissed him and said she loves him.

"I love you more," Louis replied, hugging her waist and pulling her close to his body. They smiled at each other, both gazing at the other's eyes.

"We have a lot to talk about" Louis declared and let Pamela go. He got upstairs and went to have a bath. He would ensure Pamela was able to talk to Lucas that day.

Meanwhile, Lucas Wright arrived a few hours after Louis Hayden landed on the soil of Oak City. He had sold his previous penthouse and bought a Mansion at another district of the City.

He decided to be away for a few days. He needed to see new places and experience the atmosphere of another part of the world.

His life was stuck with people he doesn't want to be with anymore. He needed a breath of fresh air. His return now, comes with a different beginning, a better one.

He's met a lot of people in Texas and has made a few friends. Done friends were just for a night and others might span several months and perhaps years.

The new people in his life would make life worth living. He would cherish every moment he shared with them. Bit definitely would keep a close long distance relationship with them, and all things being equal, he might relocate to the US eventually.

He got into his mansion, it was perfect. It was exactly what he wanted and suited him. He changed his cars as well, trying his best to start his life afresh.

Just then, his phone rang:
