Chapter 69: Chapter 69
"Is Dr Pamela in?" Ellis Hayden asked, glaring at the closed door with the inscription PRESIDENT on it.
"No sir, Dr Pamela no longer works here" she replied smartly. How can President Hayden's father not know that Dr Pamela no longer works here. It's his wife who fired her.
"What do you mean?" Ellis Hayden asked and the secretary replied "Mrs Hayden fired her and it's been over four months already"
Ellis felt like puking blood. Leah came there too? She really fired Pamela from the annex cooperation? Louis owned the company and registered it in his kids name.
"Who preside over it now" he asked and the secretary said Mrs Leah had installed an acting president until President Hayden returns from his trip.
Ellis said okay and left.
When he got back into his car, he immediately called Leah, it ranged twice and she didn't answer her phone. It was only at the third ringing that she answered.
"Did you fire Pamela from the annex cooperation?" Ellis asked, trying hard to curtail the surging fury that was brewing within him.
"I later told her to return to the company but she wouldn't" Leah replied. Rather than answering Ellis directly, she chose to give an explanation.
"Don't test my patient, I will ask you for the last time, did you fire Pamela from the annex cooperation?" Ellis thundered.
"I'm sorry, Ellis," Leah sobbed.
In the hermit of the Abbess, a Nun walked in and brought pictures of a young woman. A few reports, all sealed up in a big envelope and delivered to the senior Nun.
"Thank you sister Margaret" The Senior Nun appreciated, placing the envelope aside.
"Thank you, Mother," Margaret said, bowing slightly and walking out. As soon as Margaret left, Sister Susana took the envelope and ripped it open.
The pictures of a certain beautiful woman, gorgeous and classical, were brought out of the envelope by her.
Sister Susana glared at the picture in a daze. Twenty eight years now, she's twenty eight years old. This is how she looked.
But her eyes caught her attention, she looked like her mom but the eyes definitely were his. Her hair was his and a proper glance at her, she still has the looks of her father.
She saw other pictures, in some of them she was with her Quadruplets. She had four kids? That's sweet and lovely.
She subconsciously caressed her face through the picture, it feels as if she was seeing him again. Those eyes filled her with memories that she doesn't want to remember.
Those memories that make her sob in the quietness of the night. Those memories that she found difficult to erase off her memory.
The faint cry of a baby resounded in her memory. When her soul was departing, when she died to this world, she heard her voice, she opened her eyes with difficulty and glanced at the little girl wrapped in a swaddle.
That was the last time. She's a grown woman now. After many years, she had decided to take a peep into the world and see her.
Then Sister Susana picked up her biography. She read through it. She was an orphan adopted by the couple Freddie and Freya Grayson. They named her Pamela Grayson…
"Pamela Grayson, that's what she's called, Pamela" Sister Susana mumbled trying hard to hold back the lone tear from falling off.
She read through it all and paused when she arrived at the point that states that her maternal family came to find her and she became the princess of Middletown City.
"Hmmm" Sister Susana hummed. Who made it happen, was it grand nanny or Alice's mother? But it's definitely not Alice's father, he was too mean to take her in.
Sister Susana sighed audibly. No matter what happened, she had been accepted into the royal family. She's got a family at last.
They all must have thought that Alice Johnson is dead, but a reincarnation of her exists!
"...are you blaming me for Alice's death? You think I killed my own daughter simply because I did the right thing?" Tarvan thundered.
"You did Tarvan. You killed my daughter. You are mean and evil, Tarvan and I will not forgive you in this life. I will not forgive you for making me go childless.
I will not forgive you for calling me a barren woman. I will not forgive you for forcefully having your way with me. I won't forgive you in this life for shattering my life.
And all that I want now is for you to sign the divorce papers and let's go our separate ways. I won't let you kill my granddaughter like you did to Alice, Tarvan Johnson" Clarion seethed.
Clarion eyed him. She had refused to leave her room despite Tarvan had lifted the punishment of confinement off.
It's been days and Clarion didn't step out nor did she come over to the royal court. A lot of questions are being asked and the king doesn't know how to answer them anymore.
Hence he came to find her. It was late and he decided to see her. But Clarion attacked him and called him the killer of their daughter and the argument continued.
"Why did you accuse me like this, Clarion? What exactly do you want from me?" Tarvan inquired in a pained tone.
"Divorce! I want a divorce, Tarvan"
