Chapter 66: Chapter 66
Lucas was shocked. He glanced at Alice and saw her sniffling. She couldn't raise her head. She bent and looked away, avoiding to meet his gaze.
"Alice" Lucas called her but she immediately turned and walked out of the kitchen.
She didn't know the parts in Lucas' house but she pushed open a door and it led her outside.
Lucas suspended what he was doing and went to look for her. He saw the back door was ajar and he stepped out. She was at the other side, at the laundry section.
He walked over to her and stared at her. She was sobbing. He didn't know how to pacify her but sat down next to her and said "was it something else or was it my story that soiled your mood?"
In Middletown City, a lot has happened for over three months. Clarion was released from her confinement two months earlier but she immediately signed a divorce paper and told Tarvan that she was leaving him.
That infuriated the King more than anything in his life. How dare Clarion conceived the idea of leaving him at this their age?
In fury, he has her locked up in confinement until further notice. He visits her chambers whenever he likes and takes a piece of her flesh.
She doesn't have access to anyone and that includes her phones and internet connection to her Chambers. He shut her away from civilization.
But each time he visits her chambers, she would keep threatening him that the day she stepped her feet out of her Chambers, that would be the last day she spent in that palace.
Tarvan knows the strength of his wife and he therefore allowed her to remain in confinement. No one knows what the issue was with the queen and the King, but they know there's a cold war going on.
She's been in confinement and for months, she'd not been to the royal court, even before going into confinement. Something is going on between the royal parents.
Some attributed it to the public humiliation that the King made the queen go through when the concubines took in. And as a matter of fact, that was the last day the queen stepped her feet into the royal court.
This particular evening, Tarvan got a wind of what happened in Oak City. Louis Hayden and his long time friend and childhood sweetheart finally tied the knot in Turkey.
Many days have passed. It was only when he asked a trusted ally to find out if his granddaughter was now married that this truth was brought to his ears.
He was down. He needed to see Clarion. He hadn't been to her in three days. When he got into her chambers, she was going through a magazine, at least Tarvan ensured he got her other things to kill boredom.
As soon as she saw Tarvan, she stood up, undressed herself and laid on the bed with her eyes closed and her legs far apart.
"Go ahead, force your way into me. That's how much you loved me" She declared, her eyes still closed.
"Get off the bed and close yourself up" Tarvan said calmly. She thinks he doesn't love her anymore just because he was making her go through this phase?
"No Tarvan. Go ahead, rape me. You've always wounded me in my body and in my heart. Now, I'm so used to being abused and molested by you. Come here, force your way into me as usual" she snorted.
"I said get off the bed and close yourself up! You're my wife Clarion!" Tarvan thundered. He was already upset and can't stand it when she isn't reading his mood.
If it were in the past, Clarion understands him when he blinks his eyes. She is his long great adviser and counsellor. She was there by his side all the while that his father Jimmy Johnson was sick and slept in the hospital as well.
She can read his mind and tell him what he was going through. But now, he is before her and all she cares about is opening up for him to have sex with her?
Is that the only thing that matters to her now? Is he only coming to her for sex and nothing more? Is that what their union has been reduced to?
"I'm not your wife, Tarvan. I am your imprisoned sex slave. That's how much you have hated and ruined me. You only come to find me when you want someone to rape" Clarion yelled back at him.
Tarvan Johnson sighed . Thank goodness, the royal chambers were sound proof. Clarion can't even reduce her voice to the barest.
"Okay. I didn't come here for sex. I want us to talk as man and wife" Tarvan said calmly.
"We have nothing to talk about. I will not sit back and discuss anything with you. And since you didn't come to rape me, please leave this chambers" Clarion bellowed, closing herself up and putting on a robe.
"Calm down and let's talk. It concerns our daughter.." Tarvan began but Clarion interrupted him "You and I have no daughter. Pamela is not your daughter"
She glared at him in hostility. She hates him now for everything he's put her through. She doesn't want anything to do with him anymore.
"Yes, you are right. Pamela is not my daughter, because my daughter is dead, Clarion. My Alice is dead and I still find it difficult to accept that reality.
But I can't stand it as well when I see Pamela going through a hard time, Clarion. I can't take it because she might not be my daughter, she's my Alice's daughter!
I suspected that the duo were playing pranks on my grey haired age. They weren't in love but tried to deceive me. They tried to make it appear as if they were indeed going to get married.
Now look, Louis Hayden is married to his childhood sweetheart. He's always been in love with someone else that's why he divorced Pamela back then.
That girl is going through a hard time in her life, Clarion. I can't stand it. It poked my heart and I can't do anything to help her. But you're right, she's not my daughter!" Tarvan thundered, his eyes red and furious like he was going to attack an enemy.
