Chapter 59: Chapter 59

His eyes fixed on her as if he was x-raying her heart through her eyes. He was furious and Clarion is testing his patience.

"You are testing my patience Clarion! What is your business with my concubines? Didn't I serve you well when you were at their age?

Is that why you deny me your rightful duty, simply because I have concubines? At least two of them are pregnant, which shows the result of my hard work.

I will invite you tonight, again. I dare you to refuse my invitation. You will feel my wrath. You will see a side of me that you have never seen. I will act as the King and not as your husband!" He bellowed.

Clarion forcefully pulled her hand off and snorted "I am not interested in you anymore. I despise you, Tarvan. I will advise that you take any of the concubines and not wait for my old tired body"

"I have them at my fingertips and at my call and beckon. I will choose them if I want, I don't need your advice on that. You are my wife, my first woman and no matter what, I still want to be with you a million times more than anyone else.

You don't look old to me. I want to drill your old walls, going deeper into you than I can ever imagine to be with anyone else. You are my wife, Clarion!" Tarvan thundered.

"Keep wasting your time and fill your head with imagination. Get out, I need to get ready for the day" Clarion declared.

Tarvan grabbed her and forced a kiss on her. He missed her very much. Clarion is still his most desired after among his women.

Clarion tried to resist him, to push him away but Tarvan was too strong for her to get rid off. He kept kissing her until he got his fill and let her go "I want you in my Chambers tonight"

Clarion eyed him and hissed between gritted teeth, walking out on him.

Grand nanny's health kept declining. The doctors came, examined her and gave her medication. She's an old woman but loved by many.

King Tarvan came to check on her. Grand nanny wanted to tell him to bring Pamela back but she has lost her ability to talk.

She held Tarvan's hands as tears ran down the sides of her eyes. "You have something you want to tell me?" He asked and the grand nanny nodded her head weakly.

Tarvan held her hand in both of his. "I'll wait for you grand nanny to be alright. I will give up all other activities to listen to you. But you have to promise me that you will be alright and you'll get well soon"

Grand nanny doesn't know if she should nod her head in affirmation to what Tarvan Johnson said. She is eager to return to her husband.

He's been beckoning to her and she feels his presence around her. She might not be able to fulfil the promise that the King wants her to make.

"There's no need to strain yourself to say anything. I believe that you will be fine. We love you grand nanny and the royal children will arrive in a couple of months time, who will take care of them if anything happens to you?" Tarvan chimed.

Grand nanny turned her face away. It doesn't seem like she would be able to stay until the young royals are born. She wishes she could but she feels she wouldn't be able to.

In the evening, Clarion came to find grand nanny again. After she saw how grand nanny looked, it seemed she couldn't recognise her again.

That morning, she wanted to check on her. But when she saw that Tarvan was with her, she went away. She doesn't want to be anywhere around him.

Her veins and tissue had collapsed. They couldn't find a vein to set drip. The doctor said her heart is weak and refused her body. A sign that she was approaching her death.

Clarion asked Alyana a few questions. Alyana is the grand nanny's personal maid. Despite her health condition, Alyana stayed by her bedside.

But that night, Tarvan waited and Clarion didn't come to him. He was furious. He had her called but she shut her door and none could get in.

That night Pamela was sad. What is the hope that she will get Louis back? He's getting farther and farther away from her. Now, he's going to be a father to Miranda's baby.

He couldn't realize that he was having affairs and intimacy with another woman. He should know he was doing the wrong thing, he should have been able to recognize the voice of his spirit.

Anyways, she'll sit back and wait. Louis is partly hers and Miranda's now. If he recovers and the nightmares of amnesia are over, what will he be able to do than to accept Miranda at least, as the mother of his baby.

And then, they both will compete for his attention and love. She cannot do that. When the time comes, Louis would either choose her and cut ties with Miranda besides being his child's mother.

And if he chose Miranda, she would respect his choice and keep her distance. They have four kids together and now, she's expecting the fifth child.

Lucas and Alice had dinner together. As they were through, Alice intertwined her fingers with Lucas' and they both walked out.

"Have you spoken to Pamela recently?" Alice asked, turning and glancing at Lucas briefly, as they approached the parking lot.

"Yes, everyday I call her to check on her and the baby. They are doing fine as at this morning" Lucas replied, glancing back at her with a smile.

There was silence between the two friends as Lucas held the door for Alice to get in. He then walked over and slid behind the steering.

Alice watched his every action. Everything Lucas does attracts her, she loves him already. She's fallen head over heels for him.

The guy is cute and respectful. Pamela has always been involved with cute guys. Lucky her. She wasn't lucky the first time, but she hoped she would be if Lucas notices her and falls in love with her as well.

"Pamela and I are going for an ultrasound tomorrow. I just want to see the baby" Lucas chimed, smiling broadly.

They should have been together, they should have been.

Lucas loves Pamela a lot. If he was addicted and affectionate to her, why did he leave her for her sister? They would have been a perfect couple.

"Day dreaming?" Lucas asked, waving his hand in front of her face.
