Chapter 57: Chapter 57
At lunch, Romeo made it a time with Pamela as he promised. He arrived at the restaurant and saw Pamela seated at the extreme end, waiting for him.
She smiled when she saw Romeo. She beckoned to him to walk over and he did, taking his seat before her.
"Thank you for honouring my invitation" Pamela appreciated, the waiter came and they made their orders. When they've eaten and filled, Pamela began:
"I am really worried about my fiancé, Romeo. More than anyone else, I want him to recover fast and come back to us. I missed him very much and the kids will not cease to ask me about their father.
I decided to do research and I communicated with a renowned psychiatric doctor. I successfully got his attention and I paid a certain fee.
I will send you a series of dates that I was offered to pick from as my slot and let's think about a particular date that you will be able to lure Louis to go and see the doctor.
That's the major reason that I have invited you over. And in what way can we make him experience things that happened a few years ago?
Like conversation, places and people he'd been with, me inclusive. Even if I have to disguise myself as a maid, I don't mind. I just wanted him to remember the familiarity between us.
I'll let him see the kids' pictures, myself and him together and all of us together. I'll dress in the clothes he likes when I wear them. Anything that I can do to hasten his recovery.
Let's put heads together and see how we can achieve this. Please Romeo, I don't know anyone else that I can talk to about him besides you. Please don't say no, I'm begging you" Pamela concluded.
There was a long silence between them. Romeo's heart bleeds. When you see a woman that is in love with a man, it's not hard to recognise her.
This woman is working hard and thinking out ways to help Louis recover from amnesia. She loves him dearly. The kids also love him.
But that bitch that now occupies his bed and wants to monopolize his body doesn't seem concerned about it. Because she knows that the day Louis remembers, that's the end for her.
He wishes he can help her. He wishes he had some magical powers, he would have used it and got her man back to her. But things have gotten to a point where it might be difficult to redeem.
It's all tangled up. Twisted and thickly interwoven. He would tell her the truth. Only the truth can prepare her mind for the worst.
"Why are you quiet, Romeo. Aren't you going to help save Louis?" Pamela asked, glaring at him with moist eyes.
"It's hard for me, too, Pamela. I wish him to recover faster than you even think. But I don't think there's anything we can do about Louis for now.
Things have gotten more complicated than you thought. I am handicapped. I can't do anything. No one can do anything, not even his father" Romeo explained.
"If we put our heads together, put our hands on the deck, we will be able to do something to help. All of us can achieve a goal if we decide to give it our best" Pamela urged.
"We would have been able to, if it's as simple as you describe it. If nothing was involved, if it's simply Louis alone, it would be easy.
But now, he is addicted to Miranda Alvan and he loves her very much. He dotes on her because according to him, Miranda Alvan is pregnant with his child!" Romeo blurted.
Pamela's heart beat almost skipped. She glared at Romeo, her chest going up and down in an unusual rhythm. Her face went pale as if her blood had been drained.
Miranda Alvan is pregnant? Her hands shivered. She cannot control the tears, she tried to hold it back, but she couldn't.
It's getting more complicated than she thought. Things are not the way she thought they are. What then is her chance of being with Louis Hayden again?
"... you are an evil woman Miranda Alvan. If anything happens to my son, I will ensure you go down and I will be your escort in death" Leah blurted.
She placed the phone down and screamed in pain. She wants to make Louis go crazy. She wants to ruin her son. Louis' life and sanity is now at stake.
She took her phone and dialed Ellis' contact. The latter didn't answer after ringing twice. That's it, Louis is in the hospital or being held down because of his insanity.
She got out of the house and ordered her chauffeur to drive her to Hayden's cooperation. She needs to see her son immediately.
All the way to her husband's office, she was sobbing profusely. No one was whipping her, but her conscience was doing much more than what a whip would do.
What had she done to herself? Why had she used her own hands to bring sorrow and heartache upon herself? Why didn't she use her senses rather than depending on her heart alone?
Now, her son has despised her. And even at that, it's nothing compared with how her grandchildren will call her. Her days are going to be filled with evil henceforth.
She arrived at the Hayden's cooperation and before the car would arrive at the parking lot, Leah yelled at the chauffeur to halt.
She jumped out and walked briskly towards the elevator. She went quickly to the executive floor and went straight to the President's office.
Ellis was not there. She was pacing back and forth, waiting for when Ellis would come in. He is not answering his phone and he is not in the office either.
Louis arrived home with a dejected look. Miranda smiled broadly, placing her hand on her belly and came over to hug Louis "You are home early today" she asked, caressing his beard.
"Yeah, I did because we need to leave here now. Get a few things in a suitcase. We're travelling to Turkey this minute" Louis announced.
Miranda gasped in surprise. Wow, Turkey is the home of beauty!
"Just you and I or are there…" she trailed off. Fuck! It has to be the two of them alone.
"Yes, just the two of us and our unborn baby. At this point in my life, I couldn't find anyone else who loves me more than you do!" Louis declared.
