Chapter 49: Chapter 49
"... If Alice Johnson was still Alive, would you be able to treat her daughter this way, you think she would remain your friend after seeing your inhumane behaviour to her daughter.
What kind of a woman are you? You are a terrible friend and a horrible mother. I don't ever want to be like you. If this is the kind of person you had always been, then my mom was wrong in her choice of friend.
I may never have known my mom, we might have missed each other on the edge of life, but she wouldn't be this terrible to your son if the table had turned around.
But it's alright, Leah Hayden. Anything is possible in this life. I won't bother myself going after your son. I leave your son to you.
But one day, you will take the path that Alice took and meet her on the other end. Tell her how much you love and treat her daughter.
Then your grandchildren will know every single thing and part you played in the relationship between their parents and they will curse your memory, and never come to visit you in your tomb.
In life and in death, they will hate you and only regard your memory as the devil's grandmother and none will cherish you forever.
We don't need you to take care of our bills. We would survive. Whether Louis returns to us or not, we will survive this phase, scale through and become stronger.
The only thing that hurts me the most is the fact that your blood will run through the face of my children and I can't do anything to help it. It hurts that I am handicapped…" Pamela sobbed aloud, took her handbag and walked out.
From the moment she shut the door behind her, she knew she had taken the path to self dependence. She's alone now and she has to work hard to provide for her children, and that includes the one growing in her belly.
Everything is different now. She had always been responsible for herself all these years while she lived in the Grayson's family.
She would return to who she used to be. She would be stronger and more hardworking because she has to be responsible for her children.
She's going to be a mother again. That is enough for her to be on her toes. She took the elevator and arrived at the down floor.
She is not coming back to that building again as its President. She's done. She only agreed to return because Louis got it for their kids.
But now, his mother has taken over the company. The only thing she will do is that one day, when Louis wakes up from the slumbering of amnesia that he now finds himself, she would handover his documents and the various files to him.
As Pamela arrived at the car park, she took a second glance at the Hayden cooperation Annex. It was her idea that the building was erected.
She was the pioneer President of the conglomerate. Its net worth was equal if not more than Hayden's cooperation. It's the largest conglomerate in Oak City when it was commissioned.
But she has no part in it anymore. It's fine. Starting from scratch. She would start up and gradually rise to the height she desired and dream about.
She was unwise to have grown on the wings of her grandparents. When they failed her, she hung on Louis Hayden's wings again.
Now those people she trusted in, have jilted her. She's starting again. Thank goodness, she's well educated now, she would survive with what she's got.
She slid into her car and zoomed off. Leah Hayden was glancing at her from the executive floor. Her eyes welled up with tears.
She blamed herself for pushing Pamela to this point. She didn't hate her, she only thought she's too toxic to be Louis' wife.
But after what she said that morning, she knew she had lost her respect and above all, her grandchildren. Those kids were more important to her than anything else in this world.
If those children grow up with the knowledge of what she's done to their parents, especially their mom, they'll never forgive her and her memory will not be blessed.
She shouldn't have come over to the annex cooperation. She shouldn't have. Her blood runs through the face of those Quadruplets and Pamela wishes it never was.
That line of words hurt her the most. Her own grandchildren have automatically been separated from her. A lone tear dropped and she sniffled.
Louis came to the office that day. Ellis sighed when he saw him. Thank goodness he decided to show up.
"Why did you stay away from the office for so long, Louis?" Ellis asked. Each time he calls him, he either tells him he's busy at home or finds a flimsy excuse to shut him up.
"I'm busy, dad. Miranda and I are expecting a baby. I've been staying with her until this first trimester is over, along with its complications…" Louis announced, smiling broadly.
Ellis was dazed. Miranda Alvan is pregnant?
"Aren't you happy, dad? Why the look of shock and surprise? You're going to be a grandfather. You'll have a child who can call you grandpa. Aren't you happy?" Louis' asked, feeling skeptical about his dad's unhappy stare.
"Miranda is pregnant, Louis? You got her pregnant?" Ellis asked, feeling things had really gotten to the point where he feared. Miranda Alvan is pregnant with Louis' child and he is really in love with Pamela!
"What's the big deal dad? Why do you talk as if I committed a crime by making my fiancée pregnant. What's wrong about it?" Louis snapped and stood up, leaving his dad behind.
"Everything is wrong Louis, everything is wrong" Ellis mumbled, his heart beating fast.
Romeo was burning hot within him when Ellis invited him over and explained the latest development to him.
Oh poor Pamela, the emotional torture this would bring to her. How will she cope when she learns Louis had gotten Miranda pregnant?
"I don't know how Pamela will feel, Romeo. This woman and Louis had been in love. Why didn't she stay by his side rather than Miranda Alvan?" Ellis queried.
"Mrs Leah brought her to be with Louis. She hired her and told her to parade herself as Louis' fiancée. She offered her a hundred million dollars for the deal.
Miranda Alvan is acting according to Louis' mother instructions and the deal they had. Miranda is not totally to be blamed.
All because Mrs Leah wanted Pamela completely out of Louis' life she went to that extent. That's how it went Sir" Romeo blurted.
"What did you say, Romeo?" Ellis asked, his hands shivering and his heart beating faster than normal.
"You should ask her sir, if you don't believe me. She even pulled Pamela's hair and she lose hair with a serious scalp injury just because she came to see Louis.
Miranda only took advantage of the opportunity that Mrs Leah gave her and exploited President Hayden and he believed her since she claimed to be his fiance!" Romeo declared.
"Give me a glass of water, please" Ellis requested.
